I dont mean to be a hater but I think its worth judging and saying that this is one of the worst mods I've ever tried that claims to be "devious". It feels more vanilla than anything, just like the title, except it actually is mostly vanilla.

It is not that bad, and it is only supposed to add in a bit of devious devices, not to put the focus on it like some other mods do.

I think it was OK, before I upgraded my game and started to use OAR. Now I seem to have problem getting it to work properly.

 

OAR animations for DD have to low priority, and for some reason the leash function to control my character in the quests don't seem to work properly for me.

Probably would have been easier to do some of the quest without it.

this mod breaks the fit for a jarl quest if you use it without DCL, dialogue gets stuck and devices fail to equip, i am not sure how to start the Delphine quest, that maybe gated behind the main quests, the introspection feature is annoying, i am not if the other quests work, without DLC, but i want to try them with a throwaway save before i ditch this mod, and hopefully DCL too.

Everything's gated behind vanilla quests. The Delphine quest is literally the quest where you're sent out to get the horn thingy by the Greybeards - the note Delphine leaves is slightly modified and asks you to wear something you can find in one of the nearby urns.

I did a basic conversion here, this file currently works as far as I can tell for SE. I did have some problems with the game saying my save was corrupted at first, but I just re-launched and it was fine. Use at your own risk.

@Hex Bolt Would you recommend using this version for SE/AE build or the version on the first page? I'm on 1.6.1170

I haven't used either one because they have a dependence on SexLab Confabulation, which I don't use (I have one of the non all-in-one versions from the original mod page, dating back to that time).  However, if I were in your place, I'd use the one on the download page, just considering that it has many more downloads and people have been saying that it works for them (greater track record), but you'd likely do well with either.

Perhaps you can ask in here how Targul added the Devious Devices to Adrianne (as a special merchant's menu after a quest chain)?
I noticed your inquiries about integrated merchant access, and I recall it is capable within the vanilla merchants under an additional text option.

So I put on the Saarthal amulet and it turned into a collar (as it is apparently supposed to do) but it would not stay on. I tried spells and they didn't open the door and when I went in to see if I was still wearing it, I was not. This happened 3 or 4 times. My character WAS wearing a different collar from non-devious devices though and when I removed it and put on the Saarthal collar, the door glowed as it was supposed to and I could break it down with a spell. The non-devious devices act like regular armor and usually if its a slot conflict, the non-devious device will get removed...as when you put on a new pair of boots, the old (or non-devious) boots get removed.

Just thought it was something to keep in mind.

Does anyone know if this is compatible with sexlab p+? I noticed it said that papyrus utils should overwrite sexlab, but p+ does not support registering animations through papyrus natively.
