I'm sure someone's covered this but if you try to combine this with YPS/Immersive Fashion and have a manicure/pedicure, you're going to have a bad time. Think it's a conflict between the nail slots and the bondage mitts. Just FYI

I apologize if I'm asking about something that has already been answered, but my searching have not born fruits.

Currently sort of stuck on Trial of the toy. I've found the hidden away item, used it the way it's intended, and broken free from the furniture. So far so good. But every time I try to do what the quest then tells me, I end up securely locked to the X-cross back in the initial cellar room.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can do to get past this? I really love this mod, but I don't want to be stuck there forever.

Couldn't find any responses to your post but having the same issue, did you ever figure out a fix for this?

No matter what I get 'failed: wait how did you get that' after picking up the poison, and get sent to the cross after breaking free. The quest for the trial does complete but the messagebox for sending back to the cross shows up right after.

Decided it was time to revisit "The Gordian Bind" as I hadn't played it since early beta. Pretty much flawless until I get to the "Trial of the Slave".   When  the yoke gets equipped,  I have the appropriate tool stuck in the wall, but I get no option to unlock the yoke.   Everything up to that point worked as expected... any ideas on how to proceed?

Completed my 2.1.2 run early this morning, everything worked well and I had a (mostly) flawless run.  The one puzzle I got stuck on was me overthinking what I had to do- I'm gonna blame excessive alcohol comsumption for that :)

I liked the post- Molag wrap ups with Irkalla and the Dremora (sadly, Jurgin didn't make it) and felt like the ending I arrived at was appropriate to the overall story.  Overall, I think this is the best Devious content quest mod out there.  Some of the puzzles require some creative thinking, and there will be players who don't care for that, and that's fine.

I've seen various posts saying that the Daedric locks should go away once you've solved them.... I liked that I had to remember what each lock required and that I had to manage what devices I was carrying around, what I was stashing in assorted chests and so on.  When you've opened a lock with a key once, it makes sense that you'll need that same key to open that lock again, should you need to.

Thumbs up, Frayed, you've created an amazing mod & story here!

Unfortunately, there still appears to be a problem in VR where if your holding a door key and try to maneuver it into the lock, the game crashes. I'm attaching what logs I think are relevant. No idea why that's happening, but I've seen it before only in this mod.

Ah, that might be the same nasty VR bug that we grappled with for the "something indented". By now I'm pretty sure Bethesda left a bug somewhere in their VR code where if you disable an object the player is holding, the game just crashes. I'm just gonna try what I should've tried ages ago: don't disable the keys at all. Could you try with these scripts?

Yup - that worked. Well, at least, it appears to have worked on the first cell door. I haven't gone any further yet.

Edit: BTW, in case I haven't said it (which is silly, I'm sure I have) -> Amazing work on this mod. One of the best BDSM quest mods (if not the best) I've seen.

Hello! I've been following this mod since it first came out, and I want to say great job!

However I have a problem that the mod overall is very buggy, and so I was wondering if someone who got the mod to work without many bugs could post their mod load order, skyrim version, etc, so that I can copy it and get the mod to work.

I would greatly appreciate it, thank you very much!

I completed the first quest and was sent the invitation for the second part but after reading the letter I am not given a quest or a marker to tell me where to meet her. Is it possible ot manually start the quest or perhaps go to the meeting spot anyway if someone knows the exact location?

I am stuck in the first cell of The Gordian Bind. I have equipped the devices that were on the table in order to disable the shield on the cell lock, but I've hit a hardstop here. I can't lockpick the cell door using the fork after the shield is disabled because I get a message stating: "You can't lockpick the lock in your current state!" (I searched the .psc files in my mods folder using cmd, it identified Unforgiving Devices as the source of the message).

The lock comes up to lockpick, but it is not pickable. I tested this outside of the quest by spawning in the restraints and attempting on a Novice lock in Whiterun, also unpickable when that message is thrown. I have also tried using the lockpick on the handcuffs as well, but this just results in a struggle animation and then a broken lockpick.

Either I'm missing something in the cell that allows me to remove the cuffs (wouldn't be surprised tbh), or this is another UD incompatibility that I haven't seen mentioned here before. I have hardcore mode disabled in UD, but the issue persists. Any assistance is appreciated.

EDIT: Not an issue.

Spoiler

It's the key on the floor outside the cell that will unlock the cuffs and allow for picking.

I am blind.

Ghaaa!  What do you do with the tonal fork?  How do you attune it to Bhal?  I love this mod but sometimes the puzzles don't give enough hints!

Somebody please do a video.  Like the first one.  Was so much help.

Edit: Apparently, you have to take the fork to the forge and it gets removed and set back on the table as the correct fork.  However, I have tried just walking over there, equipping it and equipping it and using it.  (Pulled it out like in a fight with a sword) I even tried dropping it into the forge, which just causes it to get flung across the room.  I can't get it to reset into the correct fork.

Hold the fork over the forge until you hear sizzling, then drop it.  this will make it a heated fork.  When I say hold I mean "hold interact" over the fork on the table and carry it over to the forge.

Next step is to take the heated fork across the room to a blood basin which will align it to Molag Bal, then Drop the heated attuned fork into a water container, either the fountain or the water next to the forge.

Can someone tell me the mechanics of Boethiah's second trial?

Spoiler

I have the embalming tool jammed into the wall and I'm wearing the Yoke.  I have tried picking the lock.  I have clicked on the embalming tool.  I have tried to strike the tool. I tried to struggle near the tool. I tried cutting the yoke near the tool. I even got a lock pick from the pole.   I can't figure out how to interact with the embalming tool to pick the yoke.

Edit:  Ok, getting a script stuck or something.  Put game on pause, when and ate dinner. (Real life) When I returned, I was able to click on tool and complete quest.

Inside the submerged cave, the spider webs aren't being destroyed.  Is there a quest stage that will advance that?

Edit:  I just kept at it and it finally worked...

This is such an ambitious mod. However: (Spoilers ahead, if anyone has completed the mod, perhaps you can aid me.)

Spoiler

Unfortunately, I am encountering a lot of bugs.  Especially closer to the end.  I have opened the final rune to Molag Bal and Boethiah as enabled my shout to remove all the restrictive items.  But, I can't shout.  I don't have any gag on that would prevent me.  Shouts are just blocked.  I guess I will have to fiddle with quest to see if I can get it to work.  Still, I had a blast getting here.  Just a fun mod.

Edit: Ok, there isn't a quest to advance the shout.  It was the pet suit that prevents shouting. I think Boethiah should have removed that or at least hinted that you have to remove it.

Found myself with an issue in initiating the quest. I made sure to dismiss my followers (only had 2) but now I seem to be unable to drink the potion, even with no followers. I've tried re-inviting and dismissing them all, using console commands and fast travelling but nothing seems to work?

Thanks 🙂 I've seen that issue before - what's supposed to happen is:

Spoiler

the quest removes the gag and you can use the shout to escape the other devices. For technical reasons though, Skyrim considers shouts are combat actions, and so disabling combat controls as the pet suit does also disables shouting. You can't enable/disable shouts separately. The quest should allow shouting temporarily, but it only does so once and in some cases it resets back to disabled. I've been looking for a workaround that allows the player to Shout even with combat disabled, but it seems to be coded at an engine level, and DD mods refresh the control flags quite often. I might have to put in an uglier solution where I fake the shout with an extra hotkey or something, because the current implementation doesn't seem to work very reliably.

Are you using any follower framework mods? I've added support for Nether's, but other frameworks might handle things in a way I don't account for. Try using the console command "sqv DialogueFollower" and post the output here. It should say "REF 'follower'-> [something, or None]". If you're using Nether's Follower Framework, it's also have "REF FollowerExtra" fields. If any of those are not None, you still have a follower somewhere and the quest is blocked from starting. You can find them with "player.moveto [whatever code the 'follower' field has]". Next version I'll add the name of the follower that's blocking quest start to the notification, that should make things a bit easier.

Great, I'll ship it with the next version. And don't worry, you have, at length. 😄

That camp is un-fing-findable. If you're like me, here's where it is.

( search aid keywords: irkalla invitation gordian bind start cave camp map )

  Hide contents

Step 1. Find Stone Creek Cave by any means. Online, map, stick to the mountain line, whatever.

Step 2. Walk directly east with a very mild south slant. You will hit a fork in the road, at an angle.

ScreenShot32.thumb.png.c3f90530b320c7e6354259da6d5911d5.png

In the image, the marker (teal) is the fork in the road you need. Not the one before it or any other fork.

Step 3. The camp is hidden. Here's where:

ScreenShot30.thumb.png.9b9b54e404181d25aff5029e6e61643a.png

The upper left shows the fork highlighted by the marker, the bottom right is the camp.

If you are a map geek, here's me staring at the irkalla gift:

Annotation2024-09-15165145.png.caeca54643f1b5e975027e6d25ca1a56.png

Note I have Atlas installed, some of the markers here might not be on your map. You can just find the dragon mound and then walk south east.

This should be sufficient.

THANK YOU.

you are a legend

I've been having an issue where when I'm in Irkalla's room and when she locks me in and goes to leave, i'm basically softlocked when the screen fades to black

Need a little help. I´m stuck at the scene after you cleanse Azura´s shrine and Irkalla takes you to her bedroom. She locks me into the X-cross and I see "Let´s play a little game" for a split second. After that, she just stands there. Waited for 10ish minutes, nothing happens.

(If that is that something common, please point me in the general direction of previous answers... :))

Can it be fixed with some "setstage" commands? Which in that case?

Oh. And a BIG thank you for this mod, especially the first act. For me, the second act is waaaay to complicated, I had to make liberal use of the walkthrough. No way in eternity that I could figure all this out by myself. :D

Hi! Been really enjoying this! Loving all the puzzles.

But Im currently having issues during the Gordian Bind. I'm in Irkallas bedroom and she has sent me to the chair to sleep. After I come to, both Irkalla and the Voice of Boethiah are standing in front of me, and after I've been given the lock pick from the Voice of Boethiah, both they and Irkalla just stands there and Im stuck in the chair, unable to struggle free.

Anyone know of a solution on how to get past this? Or if its something Im doing wrong?
