Allen Harris Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 (edited) Hey guys - so I ditched VR for a while in order to try and play out this mod (using AE, which obv is just SE with some DLC). But I'm stuck. I've gotten everything removed except the gag. Spoiler (and obv the piercings are still attached), but I can't figure out how to remove the gag. I have the dove and the fish key, but neither works. I've looked at every inch of the walls and floor I can find, picked up everything in all 3 rooms, opened the right bookshelf & the altar (and talked to the guy in the altar), interacted with the grindstone, tried (unsuccessfully) to open the left bookshelf, the display case and the hidden strongbox. I've also talked to the deidra prince or whatever that does that special disenchantment on the thing you're not supposed to remove. I've tried removing the gag from my inventory. Nothing. Any tips? The orb says try to find some way to force it open or loosen it, but I can't figure out how. I even tried reading through the books - but there are so many, and some are so long, that I could only skim them. Please - can anyone help a brutha out? I've spent hours on this lol. Edit: I gave up and cheated. Gave myself the necessary key and played out the rest of the mod. It's very well done; I like that there's more than 1 ending (presumably - I got the thing's enchantments removed and the boss attacked me; I assume that if I hadn't done that, it would've taken me to the next chapter, which isn't written yet) Thanks @Frayed - this is excellent work. If there's something i can hint about Skyrim engine with the weird wall interaction, try slinding the object along the wall in different locations. It should eventually find its target and stay in place. It was a bit same with the door later too. And if it is still unclear to some how to move objects in Skyrim, you hold E down for a few seconds and let go of E. Object will start floating in front of you and follow where you go. The point is that its more that sometimes I was unsure if it was the engine bugging or if it was what I was supposed to do. So while I avoid walkthroughs, I did want to see if I was doing the right thing.
amg16 Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Hey all so I have a question abd I feel like this is a bug but when I get put of the pole my character cant move at all I can examine the pole gate rug and my equipment but I can't walk around am I being silly and missing something?

The only (teeny, tiny) little gripe I have is that even after I got the armbinder and the mittens off, my character was stuck in the animation like they were still on. I don't know if it was an issue with this mod or DD, but it fixed itself as soon as I escaped the dungeon. Anyway, thank you for this wonderful mod, and I can't wait for part two! EDIT: So I went through the quest again to try a different ending, and the arm bug never happened, so that's good. Spoiler But I did run into the daedra looping dialogue with the 'free me first, sex later' option that someone else mentioned. The deceive version has him remove the barrier, but then he never shows up again (is he supposed to?), and the not deceive version has...nothing. He agrees to the deal, then nothing happens. I can only guess that you have wrong version of Devious Devices. It used to be split into several mods but it is all just 1 mod right now, at version 5.2. Once I drink the wine and am whisked away I remain motionless and lying on the floor In DD gear. The flash cards pop up describing the scene, I am not hanging in chains. My camera view is about head high and 4 feet away from my character. I can not move the camera. My character does not move. Then we get to the escape part. Struggle. Now my character gets free but falls into the void and is slowly lifted back up but at an angle. 45 deg to the floor. My character is now Idle animating but should be in the arm binder but is not. I still can not move my camera, my field of view or react in any way that I can see. Now I have SexLab 165, OSL Aroused, SLAL, Billy animations...all of them. Tried ZAZ 7, Zaz 8+ Have SLEN and had a dragon 5 person orgy so Sexlab is working. DD5.2 beta 10..I think just got it 1-2 days ago. Built everything in bodyslide. Have fNIS and Nemisis , Hate Nemisis.(LOL) Not sure what else to add. Oh I have XPMSE 4.81, have tried both CBBE_3BA and BHUNP 3BA, seperate bodyslides for each. One deactivated while other is active. Anyway not sure how to resolve this. EDIT: The DD gear is not working for me either. Perhaps 1.6.640 is not compatable. Well Bummer. Beta 10 already contains outdated files, even still i think i finished this mod fine with it... I have never used Nemesis or Dynamic Animation Loader because of issues reported. Your bodyslides doesn't matter to the issue, it's only if you get invisible gear, something isn't aligning with the body or physics not working. Make sure you don't have old DD patches or anything overriding your DD 5.2. If you have MO2 you can check the conflicts. And there should be no issue with 1.6.640.

What you're trying should work. Did you update this mod from an older version to 1.1.1 on an existing save, or are you playing 1.1.1 on a fresh save? This mod was and as far as I know still is compatible with LE. Do regular DD contraptions work for you? If not, the issue is with your DD installation. If they do and you updated, it's because of a conflict between scripts baked into your savefile and updated ones in v1.1.1. If your problem is on a fresh save and you are certain DD works without issues, tell me. @PolskiHusarz20 that in itself helps, because it suggests the issue is not inherent to the script, but probably related to updating. The rug don't remove the blindfold. The mittens are game breaking, and none object can rid of it. So I cheated like hell to manage to finish the mod. The boss is very hand for hand fight (mittens, so no weapons) and level 9. 1

Even that last one goes off after the final encounter. Last one is: Spoiler piercings The mod comes with Hints.txt which has the same clues you get from orb.

I finished the mod twice on SE 1.5.97 no issues, probably not on DD 5.2 stable yet though only 5.2 beta 10 i guess. The chance that you have a conflicting mod is high. That video is a good reference, it follows the intended path pretty closely and I see no issues in there. I was actually thinking of doing a video like this, it's not just useful as a spoiler guide, but also to have as a reference of how the mod is supposed to work when people find issues. Might be good to have it split into a bunch of smaller videos per room/device, that way we can keep the file size down. Maybe put them in a blog post here on LL and I'll just link to that as the spoiler guide. I might record some stuff myself later, since there's some comments I'd like to add, but for now this video is already a great help. 2

I got rid of the gag and the boots, had sex with the daedra and talked to mask vile. I still have the belt ecuipped and I can not figure out how to get rid of it. Please no vague hint, I already got those from the orbs and I can not figure anything out. My last safe is from before I finished the dcl questlines quest cursed collar so if I go back I have to repeat all of that. Help! (I don´t think I enjoy this type of quest. I just want to get done with it. Sat here for multiple hours suffering from my own incompetence at puzzle solving and the lack of explicit hints in this thread.) Edit: I cheated my way through the door and finished the mod and all remaining devices were unecuipped. Good design by the creator!
