Why are you replying to yourself? Is this online schizophrenia? Very interesting.

I think you have ZAZ 7 instead of ZAZ 8+ or you loaded BAC-LE into SkyrimAE.

The BSA for SkyrimLE will crash SkyrimSE\AE.  ZAZ 7 lacks the features used by BAC found on ZAZ 8+.

When you indicate new game, does it mean you reach the main menu and click new then CTD? Or, You just start Skyrim and it CTD before reaching main menu?

Just did a quick test-playthrough with this mod and really liking it. I came here with a bunch of questions but actually I was able to find answers to almost all of them here already!

I was curious about the volume settings. I did read that the milk sloshing was only during SL animations, but some of the other sliders don't seem to be working for me or at least not how I expect. I don't think I've heard anything for the tail swish (maybe I'm just missing it since I don't know what it sounds like?). Also, the bell volume is very very low even with it to 100% and with footstep volume maxed. It is also still audible when turned down to 0. Are these sliders like the sloshing and just for during scenes or are they broken in my build? Not a big deal, just curious.

Last question is more about people's preference. What is everyone's favorite way initiating the transformation? In my test run I just left it on any milking to give the mod a spin but I'd like to have a more immersive way of initiating the curse in my next playthrough. I'm thinking of doing the lactacid threshold combined with Milk Addict's drugging on aggressive scenes. I do really like the auto-equip option for blended when looted, but I personally don't like punishment for doing positive actions like winning a fight/looting. It would be really cool to somehow have blended be force-fed on aggressive animations. Maybe for now I'll RP it and showinventory on anyone I lose to and if Milk Addict triggers a force feed of a standard lactacid then I'll manually drink a blended.

BAC MCM volume settings only attribute to those occasions when a script plays that sound. Additionally some sounds are bound as footstep sounds to armor items (like, e. g. the bell) and therefore are subject to the general footstep sound settings (mods cannot influence that). The tail swish is played by the quest alias during sex events (OnAnimationEvent) as again it's also attached as a footstep sound to the tail and thus is being played anyway while walking. The max bell sound volume was reduced considerably way back when since it turned out to be quite annoying and thus interrupting any consecutive speech output. If you like it louder (any BAC sound actually), extract the sound files from the BAC BSA archive relative to your Data folder respecting the folder names inside the archive, then use a tool of your choosing to amplify the volume (e. g. Audacity). You can even replace certain sounds with some of your own choosing, just keep the file names.

Love this mod, almost everything is working great for me. But I'm having one big issue. My "Grazing" option is greyed out no matter what I do with the "No Degrading" option. When I toggle it, other related options to degrading grey out and un-grey out correctly.  But not "Grazing", it always stays greyed out.

My PC did *just* become Paul's and is only on stage 10 of transformation, so it seems like either it will unlock with a grazing quest? Or perhaps it is a bug tied to turning off survival mode when first prompted after starting this play through? Is survival mode needed for grazing? I have tried toggling that as well with no success.

Does anyone know why my character isn't changing her body? I have 3BA bodies (with the milk economy, of course), and the milk animation always appears to be 5 meters away from the breasts. That is, they've gotten bigger, but they haven't visually increased. Does anyone know what's going on?

Are you also using 3BA for MME mod? I think its necessary for MME morphs for 3ba body.

Do you have PO3's papyrus extender installed? If yes, does it have the correct version matching your SKSE plugin? As stated in the info text for the grazing option, "Toggles random grazing miniquest activation (PO3 required)".

The default morphs (and those shipped in the JSON file) are for LE CBBE bodies. A properly working 3BA morph JSON file is in the making but will have a different JSON format (to minimize the spelling issues) which will require the next version of BAC.

I'm new to this and I use CBBE SE and 3BA SE, and I don't know if that could be the problem. The strange thing was that when I used the MCE separately from the MME, the breasts worked; that is, they expanded when I had a lot of milk or shrank when I had little. But now, every time I start a new batch, it no longer works, not even with the settings I had.

I just encounterd a new bug in my game.  My game is kinda chonk with scripts and stuff so it could just be that my save was cooked and overloaded.

The timer ran out for the usual quest for Paul.  I got the MCM message, owners mood: cruel but the quest to go see paul didnt fire. save/load and restarting game didnt seem to fire it, also tried debug setting both timers to 0 but not dice.

Did you install the MME 3BA extension mod? (and possibly also the Tullius Version files for SLIF)?

Did you by chance complete the Battle of/for Whiterun before that? There's a glitch I've been unable to fix script-wise. Depending on the outcome of the battle, Severio Pelagia is removed from the farm and when that happens and BAC chooses the Ritual Cow quest as your next task, the situation you describe happens. So what can you do? a) Load a save from before the BAC quest start, go to the console, type

  • prid 2c927
  • resurrect
  • enable

then let the quest start, or b) Load  a save from prior to BAC quest start, go to MCM debug page and disable the Ritual Cow quest. If you no longer have a save from prior that quest starting, try the following in the console (not sure, if it works, though):

  • sqv bac__quest_evil_006_ritual_cow [there are two underscores after bac!]
  • check if it is running (should be stated at the end), assuming it is:
  • stopquest bac__quest_evil_006_ritual_cow
  • resetquest bac__quest_evil_006_ritual_cow
  • [the commands from above]
  • startquest bac__quest_evil_006_ritual_cow

the script check for Severio somehow fails, if anyone has an idea, please come up with it!

Spoiler
Function CheckSeverio()
	if Severio.IsDead() || Severio.IsDisabled() ; After Battle for Whiterun
		Severio.Resurrect()
		Severio.Enable()
	endif
EndFunction

It seems to be working fine now, the problem I had was, I had SLIF with Tulius BUT at that time I didn't have MCE installed, and the same thing happened (this was more at the beginning when I started using mods) I had SLIF but not MCE. Now that I have BOTH AT THE SAME TIME, it works for me. Thank you very much for the help

@botticelli  I got a question since I did a fresh install in Skyrim and haven't played Being A Cow since you updated it, since I had a Windows 11 infinite loop, which prompted me to do a fresh install. What is the likely chance that the new version won't give me the same issue as the slightly older version, after my female Dragonborn gets captured by the Red Guards in which would load into a black screen with the pumping sound from the milk station? It is a fresh install, and I assume this is a new version with a new safe. The issue shouldn't be there.

during the fade out the quest trie to strap the pc in the milking machine on the cart. This can fail due to serveral factors: e. g. ZaZ pump not being able to grab the pc or the pc glitching through the cart or being displaced by it. One such factor was the CowBack/CowNeck mutation which also caused ZaZ not to be able to grab the player. The new version tries to compensate for that by temporarily removing those mutations. So, it eleminates *one* possible cause for that problem. I'm not able to give you an exact chance on the likeliness of this working, though.

I hadnt done any off the war quests, but maybe it was i had too many things dissbaledd for it to start,  i tihnk i only had 2 active .  I havent tried using ritual cow in a long time, not since it was first added as a new option, i never could speak to the giant during the quest .

I cooked my old game saves and removed some things so hopefully it behaves when i get to it again.

That giant has a force greet package and should open conversation automatically.

afaik, Skyblivion is not out as of now. If it's an addon for Skyrim, it should work out of the box, E. g. Bruma does. If it's a total replacement like Enderal, let's wait and see. I don't make any promises because that would also mean bringing MME there and Ed86 does not work on that any longer.

I'm getting an odd SMP issue with my PC's breasts. They have begun being extremely squished/pulled downward, almost like they had something resting on them or gravity on them had been turned up 10x. At first I thought it was them reacting to the bell or something but after some troubleshooting, it turns out it was the SMP tail. When I removed the tail through MCM it stopped and if I disable the SMP tail replacer in MO2 it is fixed.

Unfortunate and weird issue, never had any problems with other tails like when I run a Draenei custom race or with DD's tail plugs.

which tail? The one I supplied in this post or the one made by @Unknown22923 in this post? Mine are just snatched from Fantasy Creature HDT SMP tails, so you should have the same problems with the other tails from there, too.

Oh cool, didn't know there were options. It was the one made by Unknown so I will give yours a shot. Hopefully the Fantasy Creature snatch doesn't have the same issue for me.

Is there any way to make the fur textures fluffier? I like fluffy cows

for overlays: no. it would mean creating skin textures with normal maps and the like. Feel free to do that, I'm not versed in that and my attempts were all f*cked up. Keep in mind that skin textures work a whole differently (see "Skin function" here).

This is weird, one moment it works the next it does not show up; Namely, in BAC MCM under settings there WAS a setting for both player and NPC weight locations, belly and butt, now they're not showing up; I have restarted the mod {and my game] three times now, each time, not showing up.

In short, I dont want a fat belly for my player or NPC, I like setting that stuff up. but now its not showing up anywhere. It used to be under body weight settings.

EDIT: I think I figured it out, I may have fixed it, am about to try, I will edit this to confirm the fix or not

FINAL EDIT: Turns out I need sexlab inflation framework active, somehow I forgot to activate that in the load order
