No bodies are specified or included; SBC will run with whatever body you have installed.

They likely mean compatibility with the included outfits.

The cbbe option is pretty much compatible with 3ba, it has NO 3ba features and there is still some texture mismatch from random unp stuff but it's mostly okay.

 

You said a proper CBBE version would come out 'someday' right, but its not a priority?

(although it feels like that was such a long time ago now)

Was able to identify a logic gap where success on the first attempt allowed further success or failures, but a failure on the first attempt precluded subsequent attempts pretty much as you described.  Have adjusted conditions and added an additional selection to remedy this.

 

Give this a try (SSE only for now pending feedback):

SBC v0.98g Patch 5 SSE.7z

As a bonus, there's 200-ish additional voiced dialogue lines in this (hence the file size), plus a bevy of other fixes and adjustments like the re-balancing of the Daedric Wisps and how they support the Last Bandit sequence.

Still an unappetizing time sump and still not the priority.  This would be a great sub-project for someone with the right skills to tackle.  Until then we have the slap-dash CBBE version that at least addresses the most egregious issues/outfits.  One can always select 'naked' in the MCM, and the feedback so far seems to point to many users doing this regardless of outfit support.

my review before uninstalling the mod, First of all, excuse the poor english, its not my native language.

 

first I never found the note to initiate the game, not in riverwood trader, nor in belethor shop, nor in whiterun prison (I played at least 10 games).

 

I know you wrote previously that it happend to some other player, well no ! It happens to most player and you shoud really do something about it !

 

I manage to add to myself the note via console command, reject it, read it and went to the riverwood inn and the innkeeper gave me the task to look in eastmarch.

 

I asked Jorleif, the steward in windhelm and he gave me the task to go in lost knife hideout. funny, he took back the note he gave me, pretending it was thievery, I had only the quest marker to proceed.

 

In lost knife hideout, I killed all the bandits in the first cave, but when I entered the second cave, the quest marker disappeared. In the second cave, I killed all the bandits but the boss in the arena was not present. It is the first time in all the games I played (I played may be a million time with skyrim) that this boss was not present.

 

I anderstand that the captives are not added if the boss is not present, OK but why shoud your mod make desepear this boss so that the quest should fail ?

 

anyway, when leaving the second cave and re-enterring the first cave, the quest marker reappeared. hallas, when reenterring the second cave it disepeared again ...

 

From that point, the quest failed and I never had a chance to see one single sexy captive since no one gave me another quest to do.

 

I find the dungeons added by your mod quite challenging and interresting to play, but the size of your mod plus the size of KShairdos and the fact a didn't meet one single sexy captive are the main reasons I am going the uninstall the mod,

 

My advice to other players. The mod is a WIP (as is for testing only) and you shouldn't play it if not for testing.

 

As for me, even if the mod has so many failures and is not playable per se, I encourrage you to persevere in your work

Done a poll of "most players", have you?  We can only respond to those we hear from.

You're making a tremendous assumption here:  He does not give you the note.  He shows you the note, with the salient details being recorded in your Quest log.  The mod was written that way deliberately to avoid inflicting needless inventory clutter.  Under the hood, every note is basically the same note object filled in with different information using text substitution.

Have never seen this in testing and it's not been reported by any other user.  Lost Knife was used extensively as a testing location.  There is nothing to specifically disable or move the arena boss, so we can't propose a reason why this happened for you.

The Boss is not disabled if Captives aren't present -- you've inverted cause and effect.  If there is not a living Boss present, no Captives will be placed.

If you never found any Captives, then you're not really in a position to comment on the content you've not seen.

Testing feedback is appreciated, but the WIP is due to the main storyline being currently incomplete to where the 2nd Captive is placed.  Several users have successfully rescued all 90 Captives.

I understand ychenovoy, I had the same unpleasant experiences with this mod a few times before finally finding some few ways to not make the game crash and the mod bug.

 

 

 

This mod doesn't really match with EFF before freeing a captive. After a captive is freed and met once again, using EFF dialogue option to make a follower seems working fine. Before freeing a captive, the game crashes most of the time when subjugating, as I think it is not a crash made by this mod only, but I may be wrong about it, I suppose it is from a mismatch between EFF and SBC.

 

There are a lot of ways to make the mod not work, bug and make the game crash with this mod, but there are a few ways to make it work and I found some, I managed to free 77 captives, well 76 because one died during a fight against flying daedric grand soul gem fillers.

 

Summing it up, it is a better mod than expected, when finding ways to make it work in your game, it works well enough until the last information ending the quest.

 

There are a lot of bugs and crashes, mostly when subjugating, so try to avoid it.

 

When subjugating works without bugging and crashing, and I finally free the captive when had fun enough, I can now make my character meet the once sluttified captive and unlike the ones freed without being subjugated, I can't do a lot with this one, while I can ask the ones not once sluttified to follow, change gear, have fun, etc. and EFF and SBC seem to match correctly in this situation.

 

I had a lot of purple hair captives, I don't know if it is because of my version of KSHairdos or not, I'm wondering if you have a thing for blue/purple hair females.

 

The captive named Breya had some hair growing in the middle of her back, I don't think it is because of my game or my version of KSHairdos, so you might want to investigate.

 

In the end, thanks for this mod, I had fun and I hope it works better and better for more an more players.

Hi BlackBird finally a restart the Quest using console and now everything is running fine ON LE with the last Version v0.98g  ?However the scripts SBCS322 keeps running even after kill all of them and rescue the captives ...

Yes, but it will be patch/fixes; not a whole lot of new content.  Haven't heard anything from the SSE crowd about patch 5 (but it's been downloaded 27+ times), but I can package up an LE version of it soon.

They're not invincible, but require some strategy.  Try to kill any Bandit Chiefs before they are the last one.  The effect amps up whoever is last, so it helps you if that is a weaker character.  Also, kill the Daedric Wisps first (once they appear)!  They act as healer support to the last bandit, so taking them out is critical -- but they phase out for a couple of seconds each time they are hit.  Unless you're dealing crazy damage, it would be unlikely to be able to deal damage faster than the healers can put it back.  The Wisps also have their offensive attack, but hitting them disrupts that as well so use that to your advantage.

Not been playing skyrim much/this mod lately so apologises if this has already been addressed...

 

I was clearing a dungeon and came across a SBC Slave that i tried to release and it failed each time i tried to the point i couldn't try any further so i ended up having to take the captive to the College of mages to get her released by the mage you've added in which shouldn't be necessary as i'm the arch mage and have been through the dialogue with him that i should be able to release due to being arch mage etc

 

Should it still be possible to fail at that point?

Yes.  You perhaps missed the sarcasm of his advisement.  Being the arch-mage has no bearing on release ability.  Also, regardless of abilities, there's always a small chance of failure.  This mirrors the design that there's always a (small) chance of success (except the first Captive) regardless of how low your abilities are.

Strongly recommend installing the SSE patch 5 (earlier this page) as there are several significant fixes and adjustments with it.  Plus 200+ more voice files.

Using V 0.98g SSE

After the first time in the "void" my character is set to essential. This seems to persist throughout the rest of the game.

Console command setessential <BaseID> <0> doesn´t change the essential parameter. Consequence is, my character remains in "bleedout" mode when the health drops to 0.

Did some research on this already but couldn´t find a solution or workaround.

 

If anyone has an idea or solution to this, I would be glad if you could share it.

One more question: I liberated Sabine Aurrus from Fellhammer Keep, went to Farengar and was directed to Falion in Morthal. I had my char stand in front of his house together with poor, freezing Sabine and waited for him to leave his house, to no avail. Also I tried to place him at me by using the console, but no success. BTW: I am playing Skyrim SE. Could this matter?

How can I proceed?

Are you using the SBC SSE patch 5?

It's happening b/c the Player fills a RefAlias while in the void, and that RefAlias is checked essential.  The only way to fix it (short of a patch just for this) is to install patch 5 and do that sequence again.

I have never been able to get SBC to work, but I keep the mod installed for one reason... those dormant restraints are enchantable with any kind of enchantment, equipable, and allow me to wear five items of the same enchantment instead of the limit of four imposed by the game.
Since I can't get SBC to work, I do a "help" on "dormant" and then use PLAYER.ADDITEM with their ID.
It would be cool if Blackbird Wanderer could make a separate mod that simply has the dormant restraints in it, without the rest of SBC, which doesn't work for me anyway.

Since the rework it works pretty good. Are you using the newest version?

I solved the problem in a different way as I had to restart Skyrim anyway, for different reasons. This time I was directed to the court mage in Falkreath who was present most of the time.

BTW: Which blacksmith is ready to help with the restraints? Neither Eorlund nor Alvor have a fitting conversation option and the smith in Rifton just directs me to the court mage.
