SexLab Framework Development

Just installed this - I'm using Mod Organizer so I cloned my 1.59c folder and dragged new content into it. Ran update function and everything seems to be working well. Using SKSE 1.7.3 and latest version of FNIS. Animations seem to run faster and no stability issues so far. I've lots of SexLab dependant mods and no issues so far.

 

Could you give the list of the mods that you are using that are working properly?

AS soon as I finish testing and working on my dam computer and start loading games.. I might like to try the newer version instead of 1.59c (or along side of it to be sure ;))

I have been able to get all of these working together.  Anything Custom_* in this list is a merged set of mods (but don't merge Sexlab Mods, since they're pretty script heavy usually)

Quick development update:

 

I think I've finally tracked down and fixed the issue causing the current alpha's install process to frequently crash the game. Fairly sure in anycase, if  I disable the suspected block of animation registration, than I can make 5 successive attempts at resetting the animation registry, if the suspected block of code is re-enabled, I crash during the first or second attempt. Only gave it a go a couple times with it enabled/disabled, but assuming it wasn't just blind luck on the successful attempts, it seemed pretty conclusive.

 

In anycase, that's one great mystery solved, so expect a new 1.60 beta version sometime in the next week or two.

 

If anybody whose been experiencing the crash to desktop bug during install/update  with SexLab 1.60 alpha 3 and is willing to test out the possible fix, here's a quick patch that should be applied on top of 1.60 alpha 3: attachicon.gifsexlab_160a3_installfix.zip *patch requires skse 1.7.3 (the newer recent beta release)*

 

I've tried the patch but it seems that i can't register more than 125 animations.

 

I have Non SexLab Animation Pack + zaz + Estrus + Devious Device.

 

When I reset anim registery in Sexlab, I can't register zaz anims nor estrus.

I've tried to reset Sexlab for upgrade too... but didn't test it on a new game. Will try this.

 

 

Confirmed. Using the patch fix I registered the entire NSAP for giggles and after doing that, ZaZ Pack would fail to register. That was using a brand new game.

can a person force validateactor() to work on a race it despises?

Apparently high elfs are incompatible.

I was wondering why peaches' new master was mining rocks instead of peaches,

so I pressed the tilde ~ key and found tons of errors saying high elf races aren't a valid race.

Fine.

But now I want to make them valid, or tell validateactor to let it slide.

So far sex acts have been impemented by Deviously Cursed Loot and adcSexLife - the animation selection for the sex attacks segment of Deviously Cursed Loot has certainly speeded up quite a bit.

Your Cursed Loot is working with the Alpha? Couldn't get mine to work, but everything else did. Might try again and use a locked load order or something.

Your Cursed Loot is working with the Alpha? Couldn't get mine to work, but everything else did. Might try again and use a locked load order or something.

 

Yes - that might work - I've Deviously Cursed Loot locked at 231 out of 233 plug-ins. I think that there was something in the description that made me arrange things that way.

My character's facial expression gets stuck during animations and she keeps that expression even after the scene is over.

 

Also, HDT High Heels is properly disabled when animations start but it's not re-applied when it ends, character is redressed but no HDT HH effect.

My papyrus log was flooded with error messages regarding a non existing InDebugMode property.

I added the property to sslSystemConfig and the messages are gone - but you should better fix it in sslBaseObject::Log() instead.


And it seems that the latest beta ignores the SexlabNoStrip keyword. Please bring back this feature or a similar feature that allows us modders to control which items should never be unequipped.

And I have some small feature requests:

  • Could you make some basic config items like AllowCreatures conditional - so we can setup our dialog topics and scenes and quest stages in a more comfortable way?
  • Could you send an event when you resetting the NoStrip/Allways strip formlists - so we are able to re-create our configuration?

A Feature I'd Like Request For 1.6 Would Be An Option To Globally Set The Sexual Orientation Specific For Each Gender (Set All Males As Heterosexual & All Females As Bisexual For Example) How Difficult Would A Feature Like This Be To Implement?

Would be rather easy, but I can see little to no point. Sexuality as far as SexLab is concerned is very ephemeral, anything specific dealing with it is better handled by a seperate mod while SexLab continues to provide the possibility. 

 

 

Currently Sexlab Timings are set for 4 or 5 stages, new animations are coming out with 6 or 7. Also, what's with SKSE 1.7.3 ?

 

 

SexLab timers will handle any number of stages, with the 2nd to last stage timer being repeated until the final stage comes around and then the final timer takes precedent. I can see little to no reason to upgrade the timer defaults, simply to provide finer stage control timers after after 5+, a niche situation to begin with, but an even more niche problem that stage 5 is the same timer as stage 6. I'd rather spend this time elsewhere.

This reiterates my below message about you likely having SexLab files overriding SexLab's default files in the latest update. The only reason InDebugMode wouldn't exist is if you're using files from older than the recent alpha patch from a couple days ago.

The error in your log is self explanatory imo

Absolutely zero things have changed about creature validation, minus the functions used. So if the same creature validates under 1.59 but not under 1.60 alpha 3, my assumption would be that you haven't fully installed the alpha, and are instead using partially upgraded scripts from mods that are overwriting sexlab's default scripts when they absolutely should NOT be.

 

OR you have enabled SexLab's 1.60's creature genders feature, and the creature you are attempting to have sex with from your log is not the appropriate gender. And as an aside/hint, absolutely none of SexLab's creature animations have been "optimized" for this feature, essentially meaning turning it on means making female creatures not work with any mods, since every SexLab vanilla creature animation defaults to male currently.

However - the same code works with exactly the same animal (husky) in 1.59c

I tried something different - also with no success:

sslBaseAnimation[] animations = SexLab.GetCreatureAnimationsByRace(2,animal.GetRace())

Returns a zero array for a husky

GetCreatureAnimationsByRace() didn't even exist in 1.59c. (http://git.loverslab.com/sexlab/framework/blob/master/scripts/Source/SexLabFramework.psc)

 

Creature search functions weren't added until 1.60 alphas, further adding to my assumptipn that you're dealing with half upgraded versions of SexLab.

I have reinstalled 1.60.3 + last patch (manually deleted SexLab*.* and ssl*.*):

InDebugMode is still there

I used the download feature from your git host - is this not correct?


Found the problem with husky - when receiving SexLabEnabled event I do a SexLabUtil.GetConfig().ImportSettings() - but it seems that I also have to rebuild the Sexlab animation list after ImportSettings().
