Skyrim Just Starts Freezing

So out of the blue, as in literally the day  I posted this, Skyrim has started randomly freezing on me after about 5 minutes of gameplay. It's consistent in that it always freezes after no more than 10 minutes in and it seems to happen no matter what save I use. The last quest I was doing before this started happening was the Eldergleam one where you have to take the pilgrim to the sanctuary and get the new sapling. However it doesn't seem to be limited to that quest as previous saves are bugging out too. Thankfully I can still Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the task manager and force quit skyrim. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. I am using SKSE 1.7.3, Fores 7.6, and NMM .83.3. I have backed up my save games and am going to attempt to reinstall skyrim entirely to see if that fixes the problem.

The last quest I was doing before this started happening was the Eldergleam one where you have to take the pilgrim to the sanctuary and get the new sapling. However it doesn't seem to be limited to that quest as previous saves are bugging out too. Thankfully I can still Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the task manager and force quit skyrim. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. I am using SKSE 1.7.3, Fores 7.6, and NMM .83.3. I have backed up my save games and am going to attempt to reinstall skyrim entirely to see if that fixes the problem.

I haven’t tried a new game yet but I’ll give that a try once the game has reinstalled.

How old is the game, it seems relatively new. Was ist at any point stable?

 

Are you using Crah Fixes 12 to prevent the 65k string limit in savegames? You could be over the limit already with the installed mods.

That mod looks fishy. Better use an alternative: Run for your lives. That bigot Arthmoor removed it from Nexus (and only for LE... figures). You can still get it from his Forum AFK mods. Wasch your hands after visiting.

you sure you need it? I doubt it causes your issue, but it might conflict with newer versions of ZAP and DD.

You can do the same by wearing unlocked ZAP devices.

How old is your savegame?

 

You seem to remove at least one mod (Combat Drama Overhaul) on your savegame.

You should see if you can clean your savegame from obsolete scripts, they can also a reason for your crashes. Make a backup before.

My current playthrough was maybe 2 months old at this point and literally before this morning I had no issues whatsoever. I do have crash fixes but I’m not sure what version, probably an older one.

one mod cries for ConsoleUtil, just install it, it won't hurt and gives more blindfold options for DD

If you write it like that it still sounds like you changed something on the LO.

I'm asking about that because changing LO midgame can have a negative effect on your save or even break your game.

Adding or subtracting mods will create cracks in your save. best to avoid doing so at all. if you really have to add or subtract something, a new game is your best hope for true long term stability. even save cleaners can't fix all the cracks.

I’m pretty sure I didn’t remove anything from the last time I did a fresh install and new game. The last two things I added was Legacy of the Dragonborn and the Create Spells mod and both of those have had an entirely new playthrough under their belt before this started happening. It may also be my actual hardware as well as I’ve had a couple hard freezes watching videos off my hard drive to the point where I had to hold the power button to turn it off. I’m kind of hoping that’s not the case though.

Understandable. I’m pretty positive I haven’t added anything to it in months and it’s been absolutely stable, at least as much as Skyrim can be, until yesterday.

I would remove the spell craft one, because it shows some errors in your log. Either conflicts of glitched by design.

Hehehe. To be honest, I’m pretty sure it might be a hardware issue as my computer has started freezing too. Thank god it’s still under warranty.
