say, it seems like cum narcotic effects dont work when addiction is turned off. So i cant get high or positive effects from cum if i cant get addicted? Does that mean that if i take the perk that makes me immune to addiction, i will no longer get positive effects from cum as well?
It seems kind of lame that i can turn off the addiction but get no positive effects from it, especially since it doesnt seem to mention this anywhere.
I have these mods to spice up my gameplay a bit to my liking but being forced to constantly hunt for cum because im addicted to it, takes away time from me actually playing. Too much time i want to give for it, in fact. I mainly downloaded this mod for the positive effects it gives. I also kind of expected to be able to shed the addiction over time on my own, like normally addictions are handled. This mod seems to keep addictions on as long as you actually "cure" them. So you cant really shed your addictions. So i dont really like this addiction mechanic because, as i mentioned, it forces me to focus too much on sex and takes my focus off of getting anywhere in the game.
Is there a way to disable the addiction mechanic but still keep the positive effects from cum? My thoughts on this are more like "The cum gives you positive effects but why should a natural substance cause addiction that easily" and yea, im sure many will want to argue on that. And no, im not here to argue, just asking if this feature would be possible.

A question about the healing effect. If I choose the option "like antibiotics", then SM-Cum says "cures illness". If I deselect the option, then nothing is said under SM-Cum. So far, so good.
However, if the option is activated, the character is also healed by other cum. For example, dog cum. It just says can carry 25 more.
Is that how it should be?

If you enable "Cum Cures Disease", all cum will act like antibiotics, regardless of the label on the vial.  There seems to be a limited number of effects (or maybe a limited amount of text) that will appear on ingestible item descriptions.

Can I see what the Addiction Per does in the Pipboy? I can see it in the Pipboy, but unfortunately it doesn't say what it does.

Are you talking about this issue?

"-The Pip-boy status effects screen generally fails to display new custom withdrawal effects until after a save and reload. Unfortunately, I'm not the first to encounter this issue; I have seen at least one author of a regular addiction mod complain about the same thing. As far as I can tell it's an engine bug. My workaround was to add an MCM button/hotkey to display your current BLTC addiction effects for easy reference. See the description for “Display Player's Cum Addictions” in the MCM section above."

Oh, right. I forgot about that.

But I've restarted from a save several times, and no negative traits from the addiction are displayed. Except that there's a perk called "Uncommon Cravings," but nothing else. That perk is from the mod, right?

Yes, and Uncommon Cravings will suppress positive benefits.  So if you've recently "imbibed" cum then no benefits will be displayed in the pipboy.  You should still see negative effects displayed in the pipboy when you're in withdrawal though.  If they don't appear, I suggest using the MCM hotkey to see them.

I have never used this "Uncommon Cravings", but some time ago it turned on by itself (although it is disabled in MCM). Moreover, when using saved sperm, screen effects appear (which are also disabled) and a message box pops up. Neither a new game nor reinstalling the mod helped.

Is it possible to make reports about dependencies, requirements or similar optionally with confirmation? For example, so that they appear in the top left corner for a few seconds, similar to hunger or thirst, and then disappear on their own?

The reason for my request is: the young lady is addicted to several drugs, and now, in the fight with the raiders in Corvega, the notifications are coming at the most inopportune moments.

I know, this is whining at a high level :innocent:

Are you talking about the visual effects of withdrawal, like the stagger and sudden vision blur? Those can already be disabled in the MCM.  Under "VFX Settings", turn off "Display Withdrawal VFX".

No, they're very well done. Given the withdrawal symptoms, it would even be nice if they lasted longer. But I haven't found a setting for that.
I mean the large green (in my case) windows with a status, for example, the sperm of a different race. There are some with different contents. You don't really have to do anything except press the "E" key.
If I get a chance tonight, I'll be happy to send a screenshot.

Here, for example. There's nothing to do. But the news always pulls you away from the scene. No matter if it’s sex, fighting or anything else.

Oh yeah, if it comes after a SH, Violate, or BIP scene, the screen goes black. You click it away, but you can't read what you click away without having to do something. And the important information from other events is, of course, gone.

@spicydoritos I don't know if you have seen the edit, so only as a precaution in this way ...

I've been getting the message that you've managed to satisfy your obscene urges pop-up with my first type of any cum.  Start new game, go to DC have sex and at the end, I get the pop-up.  I went in to the MCM and turned UC off, and set the chance to 0.  Still got the message.  Not sure what happened, but I'll keep trying to figure out what mod I updated that broke this now after I've been using it for years.

I definitely missed this edit. To be fair, I was also on vacation last week, so my forum browsing suffered a bit.

Those pop-ups should be rare.  I think they're important and they'd be easy to miss as disappearing notifications. However, the UC info also appears on the pipboy addiction description, and longtime players may not need the pop-up reminder. I'll think about an elegant way to handle it without overly cluttering the MCM.

On another note, if you want longer visual effects on withdrawal, the installation FOMOD should have an option for a 10-minute duration patch.  You can also snag it from the original post here:

That's weird.  Never seen that happen myself. I will double check the trigger for that pop-up.

Thank you for taking on the matter. The messages sometimes appear in quick succession. Or relatively frequently. And when they appear rarely, they appear at the most inconvenient times. Murphy's Law.

I have version 1.09 installed. But it displays as 1.08 in-game. And I don't see any option to extend the effects in the MCM. Am I overlooking something?

It's not a feature that can be altered with an MCM slider.  It requires a patch that directly overwrites the duration of the visual effect (ISM) record.  That's why the patch is part of the FOMOD installer.

I understand. I misinterpreted it. I thought the patch was no longer necessary starting with version 1.08 or 1.09.

As for the patch: I've set it in the MCM so that only the withdrawal symptoms are visible. Because sometimes I couldn't see any of the scenes because of all the colors. The patch seems to have an effect here, too. Everything is blurred, similar to alcohol. It can't be withdrawal, since she's currently "receiving."

And the messages are coming in every minute and interrupting the game.

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not complaining, I'm just reporting. :)

Try opening the MCM debug section for this mod and click on "Clear BLTC Visual Effects".  If the blurriness doesn't go away, it's from another mod.

As for gaining and curing Uncommon Cravings repeatedly, it'd help to see a papyrus log.  You should only be able to gain UC if you already have very high addiction with a creature type, and you can only cure it with very low addiction.  So I don't see how it could happen if you're just sleeping with a bunch of the same type in a row (all humans or whatever).  Maybe there's some weird loop I've never seen before?  Or maybe you're sleeping with different race types one after another, like human then dog then human then dog, etc?

Okay I double checked and it seems like a few things have to go wrong for this to happen.  The pop-up only occurs when Uncommon Cravings is cured, which has a condition to trigger only if you have the UC perk.  To gain the UC perk, all of the following must be true: injesting cum from a creature you're highly addicted to, random roll lower than your chance setting, global value for UC turned on, and you don't already have the UC perk.  Longshot question, but are you manually obtaining the UC perk via console or some other mod?  Otherwise I'm not sure what would cause the trigger condition to be ignored.

Exactly. It happens more often with super mutants. They mostly have dogs with them. And then it “no longer works.” If you were caught by a biting fly or a ghoul beforehand, then it all adds up.
That's why pure information (like with alcohol) without having to confirm it would be ideal. And with withdrawal, you get the information and the effect, but all without interrupting the game.
You know what I mean?

Finally, here are two examples. At intervals of perhaps 2 or 3 minutes. The messages come and crash the scene. So I'm glad you're considering a slightly more optimal solution.

If you still need the logs, I'll be happy to get them ready. Although I think they're just the usual status messages.

I'm checking for conflicts and I'll see what I can find, just really weird.  I do use NAF, but it hasn't been an issue in the past.  If I figure it out I will post it in here.
