I have been trying all of the ENB's out there since i started playing Skyrim so far i haven't found any that doesn't eat up my FPS up to a freaking huge amount. Even by using their performance version. Or i just suck at customizing them :)

What I am requesting is how can I remove all the effects given by the enbs and only remain one thing, the color change in the graphics, i noticed that what i only wanted with all the enbs i tried is the color change and feel of the environment, I don't care about the DOF, SSAO, SIIL, and any other effects.

So yeah is there a way, that i can make the enb only apply the color changes only?

Thank you so much this would mean alot.

Well, you can try a performance version of an ENB of your choice, then use this neat little widget to customize what you want. If you're running Skyrim at a hi-rez like 1080p, you'll probably need beefier hardware regardless if you'll use the SSAO, DOF, etc.

Like i said i don't care about the effects like ssao dof etc etc, i only want the color changes to the game, the feel of the environment cause the enb changes the color settings. Is it the sharpening that changes the color?

Sharpening doesn't change the color, the ENB itself does, you can turn off every fancy feature an ENB comes with, SSAO, DOF, detailed shadow, bloom, skylighting... etc, they are the main fps eaters, the ENB itself shouldn't cause too much hit to the performance, it stayed that way for ENB earlier than 1.32 or so, well to me at least.

But something I find odd about the latest ENB builds(1.53 and later) is stuffs like SSAO, DOF no longer cause massive fps drops, turning them on/off doesn't change fps much, instead the ENB itself becomes the biggest resource hog, which really sucks because I always receive a large performance hit no matter the settings I choose to use. Any ENB utilizes the latest ENB builds have bad performance for me, so I decide to stick with ENBs that only use earlier ENB binaries, like this:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22056/?    and this http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14646/?

You're better off just using SweetFX without an ENB. Most ENBs come with a SweetFX setting, that changes the color without all that stuff. Try turning off whatever you're using now (shift + f12) and then toggle the SweetFX (scroll lock) to see if that's to your liking, it's probably on by default and you may not notice. :lol:

when you have an ENB installed you could also try going into your "Skyrim Launcher", go to "Options", & turn off your Antialiasing, & turn Off your Anisotropic filtering, that will help boost performance, when using an ENB, & also when in game, press & hold "Shift, Enter" to bring up your ENB console & scroll down & find under the "Effect" catagory & play with the OriginalPostprocessing & OriginalObjectprocessing to see if that will help with your FPS, also is what you could do & is what I do sometimes, is have all the enb settings you want loaded up, BUT!! when your out adveturing, doing quests again press "Shift, Enter" scroll down to "GLOBAL", & uncheck mark "Use Effect" to turn off your ENB.  & when you want to take screenshots just recheck mark  "Use Effect" to use your ENB.

Phelps is right, "SweetFX shaders" make wonders for skyrim color, but sadly, it's not as beautiful as ENB. If you want to use a "extreme ligth enb with good color/shadows/etc" is an almost imposible task to achieve, the only way I see is take a preset you like and editing its ini file ( all the categories below the [EFFECT] line), deactivating the effects you don't want to use. Take in care the following ( copypasted info from indigoneko):

Enabling ENBSeries: -10% fps
Enabling SkyLighting: -15% fps
Enabling Sunrays: -2% fps
Enabling Detailed Shadows: -2% fps
Enabling ENB SSAO: -16% fps
Enabling DoF: -12% fps

Total Cost: -57% fps

TD;LR: ENB's will eat your FPS no matter what preset you use. Less effects used=less fps wasted. There's not a unique line wich affect "color/tones", there's more likely a combination of all of them.

Last, in my extense research of a decent enb I found this preset, somehow, the most performance wise I ever met: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23035/? It's obsolete in comparison to others but I still think It's cool.

Sorry for my "english", good hunting @_@

Thank you guys for the help, i'll try it out, and tell you the results.

Oh i don't have AA an Afiltering on my launcher settings always set it to off ever since,

Any fine goodperformance/quality SweetFX mods you guys can recommend?

Oh and the Enb im running is called Unbleak enb performace version i configured it with enb customizer and uncheck everything, all i have now is the coloring which is what i wanted, but performance hits still up to 5-10.

Skyrim with enb off is 45 above

with enb when engaged in npc combat drops to 20 - 30

Hi might be too late but I found a site but not really that updated which has some descriptions for most settings you can change in  the enbseries.ini.

http://my-favoritescar.blogspot.com/2013/02/enb-series-documentation-for-skyrim.html

This is what i use right now, simply enabling and disabling inst enough. Sometimes some values needed to be at a lower number if you aim for performance and you wanted to use that feature.

I've got around 60 ENB presets in a folder somewhere, ran through all of them when I was using my old Phenom II first gen and a GTX 260. ProjectENB with enb v119 was my choice when it came to performance and quality (with CoT) There's been a few updates since then, both in my system and ENBs. I noticed you don't use AA, it is a resource stresser, but the ENBs above .139 have an AA software option that cut the performance cost of AA down considerably, you can also turn it off while in game! Tho sadly ProjectENB doesn't play well with newer ENBs by default atm. Which is what lead me to K ENB, Looks are hard to explain... at times, sometimes vibrant, sometimes bleak, mostly just pretty. You should be able to turn off all the unnecessary enhancements without much of a hit, worth a shot?

open the enbseries.ini and set all of these to 'false'

Turn them on one at a time and see how they affect your FPS

[EFFECT]
UseOriginalPostProcessing=false
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=false
EnableBloom=false
EnableAdaptation=false
EnableAmbientOcclusion=false
EnableDepthOfField=false
EnableDetailedShadow=false
EnableSunRays=false
EnableSkyLighting=false
EnableReflection=false
EnableImageBasedLighting=false

hi people!
I want to say something about ENB, but I would not burn my mouth, so please do not be angry!
ENB is not an option for me, this mod makes skyrim (adult game a colorful children's play). this mod is mainly used by asians because they fear in a realistic, dark world.
an example, the game "risen" was specially developed in two versions, one American - European and an Asian! as justification was at Piranha Bytes, "asians do not like dark worlds"
There are a lot of texture mods that are much better.

hi leute !

Hum? for me, in reality, the sky is blue, the grass is green, the blood is red, not a sort of grey/brown colour like in the vanillia game...

Mailamea,

I use this enb: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22056/?

And i have 25/45 fps with my old 9600gt (512 vram)

You can use optimizer textures on the textures bsa too, i did (on max settings), and it doesn't change the game a lot.

Sorry but I don't buy that load of crap. ENB is used to increase the amount of realistic lighting in the game. For your information there is no difference between a game developed for Asia and the other for the rest of the world, in case your failed to noticed Asia is a major game developer!!

This is one of the most ridiculous posts I have seen on LL, almost hilariously so :lol: With all due respect, dear sir, you truly have no idea what you are talking about. ENB adds lots of post-processing effects to the vanilla game, bloom, SSAO, DOF, sky lighting, detailed shadow... etc, which easily improve the game visuals ten fold, with modders' tuning, ENB could be adapted to create totally different looking worlds, from bright, colorful lush tropical island to gritty gloomy frozen wasteland, it all depends on the modder.

And what's ENB got to do with asians' flavor in gaming? This is even more absurd, ROFL.

sorry i wanted to offend anyone, everyone can use what he wants! I just wanted to say my opinion about ENB and I probably should, right?

you said it would only change the realistic lighting in ENB, then I wonder why there is a plethora of ENB mods on nexus?

I've tested a lot of it yourself, it has not only changed the lighting, the colors were all always flash!

you also said that games not be developed in two versions, then you do at times clever, then you will see that I'm right!

I am more than twice as old as you, already had a PC since you were not even exist, I'm saying that I have been following for a while longer and I can say that asian games in the last years in the development of games have established europe.

deutsch !

What's the point of trolling a thread with your opinions?

If you want to discuss of it create a thread by yourself, that's ok.

If you just want the lightning from enb, try this http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17400//?, or rlo

hi ettorg!

thanks for the tip, I'll try it! there is only a small problem, as you have already noticed, I'm German and I could not find a translation of the English mods "ENB Customizer". I will certainly be difficult to cope with all the sliding controllers!

but as I said, I'll try it.

I'm french, and for me it's not difficult, i think there is german sites for it, but you can try here: http://www.larousse.fr/dictionnaires/anglais-allemand

("rechercher" means search)

rlo is here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30450/?

For example i use rlo with an enb(http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22056/?), and ultimate lightning overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37846) .

Sometimes it's a bit oversaturated (with fire, toch...), but with white/blue light, i love it.
