[Make sure to install your chosen body texture patch in the Unique Characters female texture folder (The FOMOD installers will take care of this for you) and make sure this mod comes after Unique Characters in MO2. Needs Unique Character.]

so all i need to do is install the unique loose files for unique character in mo2? sorry for the noob question, i'm just unsure of what 'fomod' actually is

FOMOD is the installer format MO2 uses. The loose files are loose files, they won't work with MO2 and require manual installation.

The file called BodySlide Projects  allows you to also install the Unique Character version. You'll still need to manually install your chosen skin patch though.

okay, having a bit more trouble...unique character conflicts with bodyslide. when i remove my character's clothing, their body reverts to the default body.

i feel like i should go in & manually replace the female meshes in the unique folder to fix this, but i also thought installing Bodyslide Projects would keep me from having to do that? not sure if i misunderstood something or not ? help's appreciated as always

here's my load order. unique character is being overwritten by body textures (fairskin11).

also: if i do end up having to go in & manually replace the female mesh in unique character, will i be able to edit it on the fly in racemenu, and have these changes stick?

Did you generate a body with the vaginaless Unique Character BS project?

Spoiler

I think so. This is how I have BS set up, but I'm not wondering if the path got messed up somehow (I underlined it for convenience). I am supposed to hit that big 'Build' button down there, right?

Screenshot_2.png.5d8b7af3cd4bec08fff0f0272da33e9d.png

I did that earlier (hit build while the screen looks as it does), and while the character WAS naked when I opened the game, they lacked a dick (and actually still had a vagina). I believe that I have to add the dick using SoS -- haven't bothered with it yet though -- but the vagina still being there made me squint.

It's also visible in BS.

But, speaking of BS -- I can't seem to edit the body at all with the sliders available? I tried maxing out the breasts just to see if they'd move, and they didn't. Is that normal?

Edit: I'm also unable to edit the unique body I built in game.

Edit: OK. I figured out what I was doing wrong (I wasn't hitting batch build...)

The character still doesn't have a dick, and I'm noticing hand/neck seams, but I'll keep messing with it.

Edit 2: It works! Still seeing hand/neck seams but I don't think that's related to this mod (probably a Unique issue). ?

Not sure what's going on with the neck but you'll need to also add some hands and feet built from the same preset

You should clean up the downloads page. All those files are going to confuse people.

They have already. It's unavoidable given the modular nature of the mod. I don't want to force people to download every texture patch and maintain a giant archive that needs to be reuploaded when I discover an error with one texture.

Anyway, the Nexus pages are somewhat less confusing

Hi Donnerwetter.

Meshes are not my area of expertise, but I think there may be an issue with the wrists on the latest version of the body. I am getting very slight seams at the wrists now.

In order to rule out something on my end, I built the standard 3BA body for women with my preset and there was no seams. I built the 3BA vagless body with the same exact preset and the wrist seams appear. The hand meshes were built using the same preset.

I don't think this was happening on the older versions of the body. Also I think someone else besides me reported a similar issue with both wrists and feet on the nexus page of the mod, however there is no ankle gaps for me.

Picture attached for example.

EDIT: Instead of being completely lazy, I bothered to look through the prior thread pages and saw you uploaded a potential fix for a user who was having the same issue. Happy to say it worked for me and the seams are gone. Understandable that the files on the main page haven't been updated yet given the amount of options available.

Thanks again for your work, always two-steps ahead.

Yeah, this fix is part of the updates I've been working on since... late summer now? I didn't upload the fix because I thought the new version would be done soon anyway, which didn't end up happening.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Like I said, this should be fixed by default with the new version.

As a follow-up, I did notice something with the wrist fix file. The generated body is unable to display racemenu overlays for some reason. Used prior "non wrist fix" bodyslide and the seams came back but overlays work. Will stick with the wrist fix file for now cause I can't stand gaps in body parts, but just thought I'd like to make you aware of the overlays.

Happy New Year!

Sigh...

If you open the nif in the ShapeData folder for the fix, you will 100% guaranteed find that the TriShapes are listed in the order 3BA_Anus, 3BA instead of the other way around.

Outfit Studio has a bug that is the bane of my modding existence where it will always shuffle the hand, foot or body mesh in a nif to the bottom of the stack when saving a project.

Since Skyrim's RaceMenu overlays, tattoos, etc. rely on the base mesh to be listed first, this results in them breaking.

You need to perform annoying extra steps to correct for this pain in the ass when you save your projects which is easy to forget when you're testing out a quick tweak, which is what happened here.

Go to the ShapeData folder, move 3BA above 3BA_Anus in Nifskope, rebuild the meshes and you will fix the issue.

Not sure what I did wrong here but I know something messed up. Everything works with the mod page installation, but once I tried to incorporate the wrist seam fix I get... well, this. ScreenShot0.thumb.png.c976c4f3f966b21e58d0e212a870eeb7.png

For context I am using the Unique Character version:

I followed the instructions above as best I could (I'm new to NifSkope but I moved 3BA up in the block list, resaved the file, built the file in Bodyslide, and placed it into Unique Character.

blocklist.PNG.2eafac28ae3f1fb5f5ce5062c22f4582.PNG

On first load the body appears fine however whenever I try to use OBody to change the shape I get the aforementioned bug. Reverting to the version with the wrist seam fixes this issue. Unsure if it's an issue with generating morphs for OBody to process or I'm just not following those directions correctly. Any help is appreciated, thank you so much for your continued work on this mod!

This is a classic morph mismatch issue. Not sure how OBody works but make sure the .tri files being used were generated with the same version of Vaginaless 3BA you're using.

Double & triple checked that my included .tri was generated alongside the correct version and I tried generating the files without doing the edit in NifSkope and the error is persisting. Could the generated .tri files be causing the error somehow? I'm not super familiar with morphs, I just tick the box on BodySlide and run it.

How does OBody shape changing work? I have to assume the problem lies there.

Posted on the OStim discord for support and was essentially told that the body may not have proper support for racemenu body morphing:

ddds.PNG.23e49f27becb867fd53ac7051f272773.PNG

So there could possibly be an issue with the body not fully supporting racemenu morphs?

I understand this issue may be time and/or energy-intensive to address so please don't feel any pressure but if you have to opportunity to check racemenu morph compatibility it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Don't think a lack of morph support is the issue- it should support them just fine. Leave a link to the mod and I'll take a quick look

Wait, you were using the Separate Morphs project, right?

IIRC the wrist seam fix test I released used the default output path, which would probably cause your issues.

Open the wrist seam fix project in OS and change the mesh output path to something different. Build a body to that new location. Move the .nifs where you need to but leave the .tri where it is

I was actually using the v2 Unique Character project. And curiously enough changing the output path for the wrist fix to unique character's path in OS and rebuilding fixed most of the bugginess, however there are some small but noticeable problem spots still, mainly around the hips, waist, and butt area.

As for the links to the mod I am using, I'm using OBody NG (the standalone version included in the fomod)- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/77016?tab=description and Unique Character- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3006

UPDATE:

After some time tinkering with Outfit Studio I believe I may have circumvented whatever issue was occurring by fixing the wrist seam on the Unique Character body (I went in and fixed the bad bones on the wrists and it seems like it fixed the issue.) For anyone else who may be having issues running the same combo I am (Unique Character, OBody, this mod), I'll leave my files here (dw, also feel free to use these files as you like):

Unique Character novag maybe FIX.7z

Anyone knows how to edit out this?

I'm guessing one of the vaginaless textures is being overwritten by something else. Check MO2's Conflicts tab on your vaginaless texture installation.
