Yes, NAF (via NAF Bridge) was working fine.  I haven't played with it since 6.8.6, but there were a few issues fixed along the way:

- NAF has an actual XML parser and as you would expect requires well formed XML, AAF is just doing a bunch of pattern matching hackery and accepts any old garbage.  There was a malformed attribute that NAF wouldn't accept from NR AAF XML that has been fixed.

- NAF wouldn't render NPCs who were restrained (that was a NAF Bridge fix)

- NAF won't render NPCs who are disabled (IIRC JB fixed this, it was a lab scene with Boris)

 

One other issue I have seen with NAF Bridge is NPCs or PCs in PA, it doesn't eject either from the PA so well the animation runs with the PA skeleton which is uhh creepy AF.  I am in the never PA camp, so it doesn't generally matter with me.

Your missing requirements (specifically animations), I think you posted your modlist earlier and from my initial look it looked incomplete.  You need to go back to the TFM or show the admin console in AAF, JB explained how to access it a few pages back.

 

Make sure you have Atomic Lust installed, I think the animation is from that mod.

 

The only time I have generally seen AAF errors is:

1. Animation is not installed.

2. Expected furniture isn't in scene (i.e. another mod conflict, for me it was Nuka Ride World Patch changed out some furniture in Fizztop Grille from what JB said)

3. Perhaps an actual error in the XML (i.e. mod drift/changes that perhaps were not retested, the animations are used in a bunch of scenes so perhaps if JB makes an adjustment and it works in 8/10 scenes but the 2/10 were not retested and req is not met it will fail) -- This scene is generally not one of them, at least I recall playing it recently and it worked fine.

So after breaking my game & having no clue whatsoever how to fix it, I've decided eff it! I'm gonna rebuild from scratch - fresh install et al. It's weird how seemingly little things, things that are really not that big of a deal end up seriously bothering you over time. Well for me, it's the knee issue with CBBE. Maybe coz my character spends so much time on her knees playing this mod lol but it was starting to really bug me how her knees looked so ridiculous & so I've decided to try to switch to Fusion Girl (yeah, I know, long overdue). Wish me luck lol

Hopefully you will be pleased, I have a CBBE loadout and honestly it's even more complicated to use than FG.  I don't buy the BS that CBBE has more outfits, I have never really had a problem finding outfits for FG, and I am incompetent enough to try an outfit conversion (did it with FNV).  But for CBBE to have a) breast/butt physics b) work with BodyTalk, you have to install all of this shit (and then the breast physics are still f'd up) in addition to BT reqs:

Skeletal Adjustments (knee fix)

CBBE

CBBE 3BBB

Clothing Pack for 3BBB (it's uh included with FG, similar to how CBBE includes the non-physics clothing -- why did they not include it in the body mod!)

Discrete Female Skeleton (otherwise good luck having ZeX + Skeletal Adjustments)

 

FG is simple, you get all that plus a high-poly body with just the one mod because it works with ZeX skeleton.  In any case, my hate for CBBE in FO4 is over, but I continue to love it (TypeCBBE) for FNV w/ BnB [it's like the only working BodySlide body replacer with full vanilla set, so you can at least work into your body kinks rather than the modders], and I haven't been bothered with Skyrim to use anything other than CBBE 3BA (not super interested in playing Skyrim, maybe when/if Skyblivion drops I'll check out a new body replacer).

I'm pretty sure Allen moves to the circle and is praying with everyone, during the scene, but then the dialogue indicates he should not be (like the scene ends too early or something, a second or so in)

 

 

Yep that happens shortly after the screenshot I posted, Allen is banging the air for 5 seconds, gets up, puts his clothes on and then starts praying.  LOL.  Scene is very broken, I think the issue is the doppleganger isn't moved to the scene (but I assume there is more going on here), not sure why.  While the scene is playing is I do 393081c5.moveto player, she shows up next to my invisible PC.

 

By the way the Wolf scene starts if I move the doppelganger in before the scene starts.  So that seems to be part of the issue, but @JB. is the wizard here.  The Allen scene also works if I move the doppelganger before the scene starts, and Allen sees it through (doesn't get up and walk away).  So the work around is:

 

# before saying "Yeah sure let's do this"

sqv _NukaRide_FH

# write down the REF ID for AAF_Doppel

<ref id>.moveto player

 

OR

prid <ref id>

moveto player

@JB. Here is another glitch, after completing Semper Sexy (Nora), the gift from Maxson is there but I can't activate it nor can I open the door.

 

OK, the door thing is apparently because the Semper Sexy still didn't finish playing out, I talked to OB, got sent to the cross, talked to Doberman, and now the door is fine.  I walked out the door and came back in, and now the note is there.  Perhaps this is only an issue for old save games that are in the middle of Semper Sexy?

Turns out the doppelganger is somewhere else, probably at Fizztop for the scene between the Overboss and Nora, and I didn't consider bringing her there.

 

As for the gift, I think I know why it appeared.

 

SetStage _NukaRide_Main 25 should make it disappear.

 

I'll see to upload a new version j with these two fixes.

Hmm. I may change plans and put the gift in for Nora as well. I'll just have to put in another note. Maybe from Captain Kells, after the trip to Far Harbor.

Oh look, I return with more to add to your massive list of "things making it take longer for you to work on your next quests and stuff" XD

 

So, the summary of the issue is: during visits (Norita route) to Fizztop for the Lyons quest, as a repeated quest, there is an option in there to check out the tattoos, during which OB should remove the armor.  I know a workaround to get it to work properly, and what's preventing it from working, but I've noticed most times the armor will not be removed during that scene.

 

The reason is similar to the Sophie Wig issue, like her having 2 sets of the wig equipped is basically what is happening there as well.  He has two sets of the armor on, so when one set unequips the other is still on.  I thought it was on my end for a long while there so I just manually opened the inventory and would remove the second piece entirely, until I realized I could just go into the MCM and change his outfit to fix it

 

So that's kinda how I've been fixing that, just select any other outfit, then change back to the armor at any point, usually I do this while we are still at Seven Bar, then forget about it forever.  If I do this, the scene will always play out as expected, no odd impacts at all from doing it that way, but then I finally got to that point again and realized...I don't have the armor mod I thought was causing it before enabled this time...so I never did the outfit thing at Seven Bar...and therefore, now that I'm at Fizztop I can tell it's not the armor mod I  was using.

 

Completely unrelated, and hopefully funny vs annoying, as I fully enjoyed this, if you build a beach ball at Dunmore Farm you can carry it anywhere you want as long as you don't enter a building...so Lyons has a toy now 🥰🤣 I made my sister and McCready act as mercenaries to walk it here but we got it here with teamwork 😜

Start here and keep in mind, your goal is to get your feet wet by creating a mod. Probably not the exact mod you want, but you need to learn how things work on a very basic level. That basic knowledge foundation will then open up a new world of possibilities.

JB this is the mod that gives a slider function to the Voice changer mod for the Young woman sound you were discribing in you discriptiion for your mod. Just thought it would be a good idea so that way people dont' have to work to hard to get the young female voice.

I love the idea of a slider because doing it manually was a pain in the butt 😅

 

I worry about the note though, on the mod page for the one that is recommended saying:

There was a mod named Player Voice Frequency Slider (PVoFS) before, with a MCM menu and scripts to modify player voice's pitch, but it had serious issues related to time modifying effects coming from other mods.

With my mod, problem is gone.

 

And I know a ton of quests have to modify time (like dinner with the Dunmores ends at 10pm every time, "Date with the Boss" ends around noon, etc)

 

But I kinda wanna compare the two now 🤔  I probably should do a couple runs of the new update first though so I know what I'm supposed to expect and then I'm tempted to give this a try.  I love easy sliders 😶

i have no other mods that effect Nuka world. do you have a discord. casue i would like to send you my modlist and see if you can spot something that i may of missed.

Have the Overboss in front of you (no matter where).

Save.

Write SetStage _NukaRide_Lyons 607

 

Works fine by me.

It's almost the same set as Keyshawn, except instead of an electric collar he wears dog tags.
