AAF Nuka Ride: A Porn Studio Mod

pulling AWKCR was easier then expected - only 5 mods used it and all but 1 had a non-AWKCR version.  So hopefully that will help with the save bloat that was going on.   Leaving the mod list alone for a full playthrough would help as well.....

Hell, I don't even get that 1 when on the Norita route. The ciggie packs, and cartons just disappear into the void and give nothing in return. Any singles I pick up, also gone into the void. I noticed this happening and had to bump the difficulty down to 'Very Hard' just to be able to save again. It's a pain in the ass (Norita virgin route pun intended).

Yeah, that's right. I did the compatibility when both mods were relatively small. But each goes its own way now. There's no way Vindemiatrix will decide to do porn.

 

Now. From a technical point. The compatibility is still there, but it's going to break soon. I have upcoming plans for new content, in vanilla Nuka Town.

 

So if anyone has both mods installed, god save them because even I don't know how Fallout will act having two Nuka Towns, one clean and the other apocalyptic. But the CTD festival will be assured.

I wasn't aware of the cigarette thing. I'll see what it can be.

 

As for UI, that my mod doesn't touch, but Sex Attributes does. Maybe the compatibility problem comes from there.

I think it's the same issue as the ciggie thing. Because the 'settings' for Holotime2 is a usable 'aid item', not a holotape. The ciggies become aid items, with that mod. So they both may be 'Nora Keyword' dependent.

 

I only guess that, because they both work fine on the Nora path; But on the Norita path they malfunction.

Oh, have you checked your junk, or the junk of a vendor, or drop a pack out of aid and pick it up?  If it goes into junk, it's doing exactly what I was mentioning about functions not working.  It does that as well so you may be having that issue, and packs will show in vendor inventory under junk vs aid once that is happening

My God, I can't even BEGIN to imagine the comments and questions there.

 

And yeah, "There's no way Vindemiatrix will decide to do porn". Even with my 'turn it off in MCM if JB let me', 'ESC fest my way through some of those scenes' run through, my Vtrix would never. She would, however, love to go on a rampaging murder spree. I forgave that one guy at the end, but no one else shall escape punishment. 😈

I see no way for my mod to run across Smokeable Cigars. Unlike Commonwealth Slavers, where I knew which way to clean up. Kinda crazy.

 

Now. The quest “Mrs. White Debauchery” is THE FIRST QUEST in the whole mod where I put the vanilla keyword “smoker” on Dara, so that she smokes.

After that quest comes "The Way You Say My Name".  I wonder if this measly act breaks the whole cigar mod. 

 

I just installed it and tried to use it on a save inside Solomon's house, and it doesn't work. Not even changing load order.

No, they go to the 'Aid' tab as they should. But when I use them to get the single ciggies/or packs, they just disappear. I don't even get the 'used cig packs' as I should in the junk tab. The singles I pick up just disappear entirely. The holotape for the 'Smoking settings' works as it should.

 

And the 'Aid item' for the 'Holotime2 settings' also just vanishes in the same way. But it never opens the settings menu.

 

Again, all of this never happens if I choose the 'Nora path', only the 'Norita path'. So I have a strong suspicion that it's a 'Nora Keyword' issue.

It is a bit confusing, but look up some of Kinggath's tutorials, and tools, on YouTube. 

Be warned... once you successfully make a mod, it gets addicting real fast.

If you just want the dialogue options as if you've played CS, in your Nora run, you can, uh, choose the slider option in the MCM to say you've played it when you have not or don't even have it installed.  It'll work properly - I've tried it lol

 

Be aware that some of the CS dependencies don't play nicely in NR at times, but if you're okay having the occasional crash or hiccup it should be okay overall, it's just not recommended because it can cause a lot of problems, people have issues getting NR started (like if the slavers kill Duke at the vault, or kill Charon at the Diner), more likely to crash, and other issues occasionally with quests.  I notice the black screens take a fraction of a second longer to load the next scene in when I use both

 

For the best gaming experience, play separately, but I actually enjoy, and almost prefer, using CS for my Nora route on here (though, I also choose the forgiveness in the True Ending, so depending on how you end CS it may not make as much sense to do porn at a raider park lol)

i was wondering why there was a slider option for CS in nuka ride section. will i go through a small part of CS if i have it on zero? or i will just get more dialogue options if i turn it to 1 or 2

Set it to 2 if you want the dialogue options, which is all it'll do.  It'll give you the options for Nora as if you'd already completed Slavers, but won't effect Slavers in any way.  I've used it on my NR profile where I don't even have CS installed, to kinda "continue" a character's story from it without having the conflicts

 

0 is the default, and don't put it on 1 - that tells NR that you're still playing Slavers and is likely related more to the Slavers update in the future

wait will you still be updating commonwealth slavers? i thought that quest has ended? or was this about nuka ride?

I don't want to derail JB's stuff too much, lord knows I do enough damage as it is.

 

I couldn't find any tutorials there, but I did google some youtube ones.

 

Is there a place here where modders chat and stuff?

 

How would I even convert a 'book' to a mod? Feels like it would be a linear things with no real choice for the player. Or is choice all an illusion?

 

I think I saw someone else post here once, apologies I forgot who, said something like the options are:

 

Yes

No (but really yes)

No (but yes later)

I'll do it later (still yes)

Okay I take this all back. I just started the 'Nora path', and before I started the NR quests, all worked fine; After I started the NR quests, it all stopped working again.

The Smokeable Cigars basically just gives no ciggies when it should. And the Holotime2 settings disappear when used without bringing up the settings.

I thought it was just on the Norita path. But it turns out that one of the updates since V6 resulted in breaking both of those. Because they worked before, and I haven't played since V6, I updated to V9 (latest), and now they don't work while on the NR quests at all.

I went back to see how long ago I'd used it successfully in a playthrough and I've used it in 6.9 as well.  Much earlier on than you (looks like the last time I had it enabled is under my 6.9b playthrough, so V2) but that means it's definitely not that scene with "Mrs White" causing it, but definitely something that changed recently

 

The 6.9b was on Norita, and I did have one for Nora with the initial 6.9/V1 release
