I don't have 'the previous girl' installed. I think I just messed the install up by trying to put it all into one file. That's how come I ended up with the blackface bug I mentioned a few posts ago. I've managed to get everything working now, except the tattoos so I was just wondering why they might not be showing up. I have Captive Tattoos installed already too so any ideas?

If you have it installed correctly (but you can't see it with Looksmenu and this mod is not being able to put them), maybe the plugin is deactivated by your mod manager. That's the only thing I can think of.

So I looked & even though it was checked in my left hand panel, MO2 put a line through it in the right saying it's a dummy plugin or something? (even though it worked just fine before with all the other playthroughs). Any idea what that means, why would it do that & more importantly, how to fix it? Thx

No idea. I use Vortex. 🤔

But I do know that it is a dummy. It's only there to activate the BA2 files for textures and materials, there's no data at all in the plugin.

My guess is if they mouse over the plugin it will probably indicate why it has strikethrough on it, but I bet there are probably two plugins referencing the same archive and if this one is an empty plugin just to load the BA2 then MO2 probably eliminated it as "unnecessary".  MO2 has some brains, I have never seen this myself.

Normally a dummy plugin is enabled in MO2, no strikethrough.

Edit: It looks like this "strikethrough" was the behavior prior to 2.5.2 (probably why they changed it, freaks people out).  https://github.com/Modorganizer2/modorganizer/releases

@Jubei69 It occurred to me that you may have Fallout next gen version and forgot to update your LooksMenu. Or maybe you have the Old Gen and you have a Next Gen LooksMenu.

Hey everyone! I've really been enjoying the mod! I'm on a new game and for the most part it is working well.

I do have 3 issues that I need help with:

1 - The tattoo parlor is giving me a CTD. The only zone to do that.

2 - Bodyslide is not building the clothing items correctly: every clothing item is distorted. This is ONLY for items in this mod.

3 - Dialogue sound is not playing - I do have the requirements, but my setup is obviously incorrect.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the latest version too (3.3) so I don't have a clue how to fix it. Like I said, it worked perfectly all the other times & all I changed this time was a fresh install of AAF, coz mine was about 7 yrs old lol). I liked those tattoos, especially on my 'daddy' lol. He doesn't look right without them. I just tried reinstalling it but to no avail

Ah, that's possible. I didn't update to ng but I might have updated looksmenu without thinking about it. I'll check now, cheers pal

1-You need to share your buffout log so we can see what might be going on. A CTD there could only mean broken precombines, i.e. there are more than two mods modifying Nuka Town.

Spoiler

Where do I find the crash logs? In %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE , you should find crash -prefixed . log files.

2-No idea. Fusion Girl? CBBE? I haven't received those kinds of reports. A picture would be nice.

3-You mean you downloaded and installed the voice file? That's in the Optional folder.

Thanks for the reply.

I will work on the precombines and check Nuka Town conflicts. I will update (with pics) when I can look into things more closely and get the buffout log.

Cheers.

I was able to work on these items a bit more, and I have resolved the voice sound issue.  It was a problem with my install, so I reinstalled and it is working well

I still have the CTD at the tattoo shop.  I have attached the Buffout 4 text file. Classic identifies it as a "MO2 Extractor crash". I use Vortex. so /shrug

And I have attached a couple of pics of the outfits.

I don't know why it refuses to build them correctly.  Obviously I am missing something...

It looks like a skeleton issue to me.  What base body (CBBE or FG for female, and BodyTalk for male) are you using and what body slide files for NR did you download?  If your using Fusion Girl then you need the ZeX skeleton and you need to make sure it is not overwritten.  TFM goes through the basics of a working install, then for NR you have to add in all of the correct BodySlide files.

Personally I would go with FG & BodyTalk for bodies, it feels less complex than CBBE 3BBB.

Might be a good idea to share you modlist.

As dav42 told you, you are missing Zex Skeleton. That might even fix your CTD, but not 100% sure.

I think he is using CBBE based on the crash log, but there are some ZeX body gen mods and in-game sliders, no idea if those are compatible never used them.  But it's either something is overwriting the skeleton or perhaps the wrong bodyslide files.

Meh, I went through a CBBE 3BBB profile and I wasn't really interested beyond that, and the OCBP breast physics were weird.  It seemed a bit more work to get it working than FG, and you don't need DFS.

I am using the Zex - Fusion Girl v1.89 I believe and I have been avoiding doing any builds involving CBBE for this play through.

I will go through and work on any skeleton files and see if that affects anything.

Thanks.

The crash log has CBBE.esp loaded and FusionGirl.esp, so that's a bit confusing (as that plugin comes with CBBE) and that is probably a contributor to some of the issues.  Is the crash log from the same loadout that you have issues with the body?  What I would do is create a separate profile with the base TFM recommendations/required dependencies, and then add in the Page 1 requirements and see what you end up with.

At least for me I have a profile unique for Nuka Ride and it just includes the base requirements & recommendations and a few other things like extra pose mods, photo mode, FallUI (because it's literally unplayable with the vanilla UI), etc.

Fairly sure these issues are all related to conflicting mods / load order / overwrite order.

Well, with the above guidance, I have managed to fix the clothing issue. Mostly (As you can see in the pic below). I think that error might be from a bad save but I will still work on it a bit.

To resolve it, I went through and deactivated any mod that even hinted at CBBE remotely. I do though think there were 2 mods that were causing problems: Skeletal Adustments for CBBE and a very old file (that I thought was deactivated) Zex-ZBG. It had 3 plugings associated with it: BodyGens for male and female and an ingame sliders plugin. So both of these I suspect were screwing with the clothes.

As a final note, the bodyslides for the items look good but the physics seem a bit off but that is a minor concern at the moment.

The Tattoo Parlor CTD is still there and I am going through my mods to find out what terrain mods might be screwing with it.

So 2 out of 3 solved (mostly). Not bad but its back to troubleshooting.

Thanks again.

C.

P.S. - I also have FallUI but it is deactivated. I might experiment with it to see what happens ...

P.P.S. - DOH!! (here is the pic)

Hello! I just installed your mod but there are several questions because I don't think it worked properly in my game.

1. When I met Duke and followed him, it didn't mark as quest, so if I lost Duke.. I kinda lost him.

2. After I met with Charon, it didn't continue. When I said I don't have money, it did nothing. Charon kept asking the free lube. When I gave money, Charon told me to sit, but still nothing, and the quest couldn't proceed.

Did I miss anything?

The dialogs work but the mod cannot execute the scripts. This is a symptom of:

  • You lack more hard requirements. Double check the list of hards requirements. Some people forget Sex Attributes.
  • Too many mods.

Note that your save where the scripts are not firing, they're no longer useful. A new save is required. Look in my recommended mods, there are a couple of mods to quickly start from prewar to outside the vault.

It looks like you are also missing to install the textures for the outfits. Double check that you have installed all my hard and softs. Purple textures could also be causing CTD in some cases.

I don't know if you're relatively new with mods, but at first glance I could tell you've gone and installed like a madman without reading. 😝

Skeletal Adustments for CBBE

This one would definitely be an issue with FG, it contains a replacement skeleton (depending on how it's installed it will probably mess with BodyTalk & Fusion Girl).  You want to check what mod is writing "Meshes\Actors\Character\CharacterAssets\skeleton.nif" and that mod is ZeX - ZaZ Extended Skeleton, it needs to win the install order.

For Physics, make sure you have OCBP installed, other physics mods may work (I never had success with OCBPC, and CBP is consider deprecated from what I recall), but Fusion Girl comes with a preset for OCBP so make sure install order is OCBP -> Fusion Girl, if you prefer the presets already provided by OCBP then you can change the install order (the ocbp.ini is the only thing overwritten between the two mods, and of course there are other user presets on Nexus).

I do know how to read - though I might be guilty of skipping over items that .. should have not been skipped over!

I cleaned up (deactivated) a few more mods (I believe I also deactivated the textures - it will be reactivated) - including ASA and Atomic beauty and setup FallUI.

I am happy to report that the clothes and physics now appear to be working properly (pic).  I will now move on to the CTD and I will be checking the addon quests and adventures that I have activated. There are a lot of them.

Pretty sure we all do that at some point, and some of the mod guides are a bit vague (especially on the why, which is relevant sometimes when the mod A is no longer maintained but mod B is and it addressed the issue or has a newer solution).

Since you have had a CBBE install you might want to revisit all of those clothing mods and make sure you have Fusion Girl bodyslide files.  Many outfit mods often typically require a  base mod which includes textures (and often, but not always -- in other words the base mod could be FG and you have to download CBBE BodySlide files if you use CBBE -- but that is less common) and CBBE-based 3D models (meshes)/BodySlide files, and then you need the BodySlide files for your body (Fusion Girl) that must overwrite the base mod (install order is important here).  So as mentioned by JB, you probably went a little too far and disabled the base mod for some the clothing items since you are missing the textures.
