Um, well, perplexingly, while the issue was consistent previously, I haven't been able to replicate it since I installed Buffout 4 to actually get crash logs.

I even used an older mod setup that is identical to the one that kept crashing, but with only the addition of the xSE Plugin Preloader & Buffout 4 and even that doesn't crash. So I guess the issue must have been related to one of the miscellaneous engine bug that Buffout 4 purports to fix.

So, thanks whoever told me to get Buffout 4 (I think it was Hoobu, but the comment seems to be gone now)

Yeah that makes sense,  Buffout 4 has a number of bug fixes including a memory management replacement.  It's a must for sure.  Well glad that you got it sorted.  There is actually a number of must have engine fix mods, even with the latest version of  the game (Bethesda still hasn't fixed bugs that have existed for well over 6+ years).

Those photos are spectacular!!! 🤩 I'd forgotten I packed up my Quests to stage the menus.

Thx you very much, I'm so glad you really enjoy them !! 😊 Sometimes is not easy to find the right angle, the right position, the light etc ... Si you are interresting, i can share you my picts. I can also remake your screenshots with the ENB i'm using (Candy EYE) with your character preset (Charli). If you want of course. 😉

What I'm really curious to see is your blog with the pics!

I don't use Charli in the menus because each player has their own protagonist, so I just stick to my NPCs.

I'm interested in creating some scenes with the new characters! I'm planning to upload an update soon with several bugs noted here. I'll let you know. I can prepare the scenes for you and send you the console commands to start them. As far as possible, I try to leave a "gap" to the left of the image, which is where the menu should be, but it's not always necessary. I only have three scenes planned to 'showcase' some new characters.  You can find the angles or edit the idles. 😍

I have a question because the English language and because Copilot is a nun.

Cassius arrives, and after all the arrival scene, it's time to talk to Norita. He's flirtatious and asks her to call him "Daddy Cassius." But I was wondering... would "Uncle Cassius" work too? Because I want to use this "Uncle" in a courtship context, and I'm not sure if it would work in English. Or I'll just leave it at Daddy Cassius. Either option will piss off Colter anyway.

However, its appropriateness in a courtship context might depend on the specific relationship dynamic you're trying to establish between Cassius and Norita.\n\n1. **Daddy Cassius**: This is more direct and emphasizes a fatherly figure, which could imply a strong sense of authority and protection. It's a common term used by children and young adults for someone who they see as a mentor or guide.\n\n2. **Uncle Cassius**: This term is more casual and friendly. It suggests a closer, more familial relationship without the same level of authority as \"Daddy.\" It can still convey a sense of affection and respect but in a less formal way.\n\n### Considerations:\n- **Relationship Dynamics**: If Cassius is trying to establish a mentor-like figure or a paternal figure, \"Daddy Cassius\" might be more fitting.\n- **Age Difference**: If Norita is close to Cassius's age, \"Uncle Cassius\" might be more appropriate and less likely to come across as patronizing.\n- **Context**: The overall tone and setting of your story will influence how these terms are received. A playful, lighthearted tone might make \"Uncle Cassius\" work well, while a more serious tone might make it feel out of place.\n\n### Example Usage:\n- **Daddy Cassius**: \n  - \"Come here, Daddy Cassius,\" she said, with a smile.\n  - \"I've missed you, Daddy Cassius.\"\n\n- **Uncle Cassius**:\n  - \"Hey Uncle Cassius, what have you been up to?\"\n  - \"Thanks for helping me, Uncle Cassius.\"\n\n### Conclusion:\nBoth options can work, but \"Uncle Cassius\" might be a safer choice if you want to avoid coming across as overly paternalistic. If you decide to stick with \"Daddy Cassius,\" make sure the context supports this relationship dynamic. Either way, it's important to consider how Norita perceives Cassius and what kind of bond you want to establish between them."

Thanks. That makes perfect sense.  I don't recall ever seeing the term "Uncle" used for that except one or two times in Literotica. "Daddy Cassius" then.

Uncle is valid and can be given as a honoury like you have with auntie nisha (she isn't your mothers sister really) but tbh in power play/taboo stuff its daddy/daughter, i've never heard of uncle/neice porn

From the name i'm assuming Cassius has some sort of legion link and that is based of a weird version of roman stuff so maybe translate daddy into whatever the romans used, google suggests

I sort of like uncle Cassius because it sounds like a reference to uncle Crassius, from Morrowind. And Crassius Curio was the biggest pervert in the whole Elder scrolls universe, so it has worked before. Then again, it's a completely different universe.

I suggest you familiarize yourself with "ESP Translator"; it's the tool I used for translating. Whether it's a small update or a large one, ESP Translator loads the previously translated dialogues so you should only focus on the new dialogues.

Yes, I use Fallout4Translator and ESP-ESM Translator, which are mainly used to translate dialogues.

Every update, even if it is only a small patch, such as 6.9.X, instead of a big patch such as 6.8 or 6.9, if the entire Nuka Ride main file is remade, tens of thousands of words will be recalibrated, and if the production only contains one dialogue or some words that need to be repaired, there is no need to recalibrate tens of thousands of words in the main file.

Simply put, it's one. Unless it's a big patch like 6.X or 7.X, I expect to make a small patch to fix it separately, such as 6.9.X or 7.0.X。

It's a pity that English is not my mother tongue. I almost wrote this with a translator.

I finally figured out what I did wrong XD and it absolutely was all on me!   I'll leave this here in case anyone else needs this in the future:

I started a new game using the enabled mods from a previous game for Nora, and left Settlement Menu Manager enabled.  Usually this can go just about anywhere in your LO and I hadn't outright noticed issues before, but I had it around the bottom, a few mods above NR.  I realized something was up thanks to your photo, I was also missing the option to change facial expressions and hadn't even noticed until then.

Spoiler

Hard saved, disabled SMM, loaded the game and they showed up.  I left the game and tinkered and found that if I don't put SMM closer to the middle or top of LO some saves are not showing certain random items in my pip-boy, menu items missing, etc, so if using that mod it probably needs to be higher up.  Peeked at their bug reports and others notice sometimes outright items missing, crashes, disappearing items that were there etc so I'm just leaving it out and can try to re-add it once I'm done with all my quests

I'm excited it's working now 🥰 and thank you for adding it in 🖤 glad I commented because that could have continued to be missing for me for a very long time!

I wanted to say a thing about the Uncle/Daddy dilemma too:

Spoiler

Uncle would be way too perfect not to use!!!

In English this could work almost better than Daddy for this situation, since in a manner of speaking Cassius is more like a brother to Colter, and uncle is more synonymous with like usually a pervy guy who is older than you but you're not romantically interested in.  There are entire songs in English about "creepy uncle" or "drunk uncle", jokes like "everybody has that uncle who" and usually this person is not actually family but a family friend who pervs on you all the time.  In BDSM in English, usually your Uncle or Auntie is the best or closest friend of your Dom, or the closest friend they have who is also in the kink scene.

Since I'm guessing the general relationship with Cassius is mostly flirting, maybe some sex but no real desire to belong to him, not falling in love with him, just for fun and/or at the request of your Daddy/Overboss, with him being more interested in you than you are in him, and the dynamic between the two Warlords, uncle totally fits super well.  Uncle is more of a babysitter, flirtationship, supervised fun and occasional playmate, while Daddy is more for your main caregiver/provider and stable relationship

Hi,

I just wanted to say that this mod is the best and my favorite out of the thousands I've used over the years. That's the jist of it. No need to read further. Thank you so much for the years of amazing work!

I don't have suggestions, I like the story and the implementation the way it is and don't want to see my crappy ideas in the mix.

I have played the mod since around update 2v or v3 (way before Norita and definitely before any parks were liberated) and have only ever experienced one or two bugs, which were promptly fixed almost immediately, or were easy to bypass. Since at least update 6 the mod has been incredibly well polished in my experience, it would literally take effort to try to break things. So I can't help with bug reports either, because I haven't encountered any.

Why is this the best mod ever created? So many reasons.

Spoiler

Made this a spoiler because I can already feel this comment cluttering up the page. There's so much to gush about when it comes to this mod.

I love how this mod has gradually become a total overhaul of the game. There were so many things I didn't like about base game fallout 4 or the Nuka World DLC, which are much better when playing in NR. Most of the things boil down to the immaculate writing in NR, which really extends to every aspect of writing there is. The only dislike I have is the limitation to only 4 dialogue options because in the perfect world there would be more.

Every new gameplay mechanism that has been implemented in this mod has blown me away. Some people might not enjoy doing the chores, but I personally love it. The soft integrations and minigames are so great, I think at times that this mod would make for a top-tier standalone game. I can play the mod with survival mechanics day-by-day, or rush from quest to quest. I really appreciate all the allotted breaks for my character to rest between quests. Another awesome addition are the roleplaying traits in the Norita route, that affect dialogue. It's a lot of work to maintain but I always smile when the background or prior choices come up. I want to mention the amazing cinematic dialogues as well. I don't know how it's done, but I love the effort that's gone in to make the conversations look so good.

So, it's obvious to everyone that NR main story and dialogue are amazingly well written. The characters are also very real, and even the base game NPCs are well integrated. One of my favorite things is how in NR, my character actually has friends, and not only followers or random acquaintances. The expanded cast in Norita's storyline has been so good. Everyone is friendly, though there's friction between characters every now and then. It's great when my character is not the center of the whole universe, characters can interact with each other, too. But not just NPCs are improved, my character actually has clear motivations and feelings now, which are explored in the quests and dialogue!!! Unbelievable. I find it really worthwhile to roleplay and consider, how Nora/Norita would react in every scenario. And more often than not, the dialogue wheel has a choice that fits well.

In terms of writing, the quality of the quests is top-notch as well. I once counted that there was something crazy like 100 quests already. Yet, they're all very memorable. I generally like using dialogue and creative solutions in RPGs, which was something that was sorely lacking in Fallout 4. NukaRide is all that and more. No need to help settlements or murderhobo all over the place. Even the bad guys will engage in dialogue. The quest writing, along with the aforementioned gameplay mechanics, is really creative with alternative stages and twists. I had to play a completionist playthrough with every extra quest objective one time just to see everything. I always like whenever quest choices have downstream consequences, which is quite often, but I do understand why it isn't feasible to branch and track everything. In that sense, NukaRide strikes a nice balance. It's as much as anyone could ask for and more. I also have to mention that the quest names are the best. References to music in quest titles is something I liked in New Vegas and still enjoy in NR.

There are a lot of silly things in NukaRide, but it's different from the silly things that fallout 4 has. The easiest way I can describe it is a meme: when NukaRide does silly stuff, I go "wow, so cool", and when bethesda does it, I want to call the human resources. I like the absurd style of humor used in NR. It's simply enjoyable. You don't know beforehand if a previous joke is going to have a huge impact later.

Finally, there is a lot of things to like in NukaRide that are difficult to put into words. The atmosphere, or the vibe of it, is something that is difficult to replicate. It's a balance of serious, fun, sad, scary, horny, or really most of human emotions. The vibe is really what puts NR over CS for me. The most memorable moment in playing NukaRide for me was when the Norita path was first released, and she had to come to terms with her old life being gone. It was nighttime, and then the bossa nova cover of "killing me softly with his song" started playing. It was like a movie, and the scene hit me like a ton of bricks with empathy for my character's despair. Nothing in fallout 4's main quest can compare to that. The highs and lows in NukaRide are just that good.

I'm looking forward to whatever will come next in the story! I know it will be amazing as always. My most sincere thanks for creating, innovating, and maintaining the best mod ever ❤️

In Spanish, "Uncle" isn't used that way at all, but I do remember reading on Literotica that it was used sexually, but only because the girl in question already had her Daddy, so the man's friend was the "Uncle". And the friend received sexual favors with the Daddy's approval. I had it noted, as a possibility to show that there's a kind of trust between the OB and Cassius. I'll start using it in the meantime; if I like it, I'll keep it, otherwise I'll go back to Daddy Cassius. The reason I remembered this is because Cherry greets Cassius with "Daddy" and it felt strange that Norita did too, since no matter how much the man wants to take her to bed, he knows that she is not his. He can't be her true Daddy, hehe. 😵

Oh wow, thank you so much! You have to throw in some criticism there, or my ego will be through the roof and it'll be hard to bring it down. 😆

I also love the scene on the farm terrace, with kill me softly; it really annoys me that now, for some reason, Sophie won't sit down! You've reminded me that I have to find a solution because the emotion is lost a little when Sophie is standing there fighting to find her spot  xD

Thanks again for your words of encouragement. We're going to NR7 with the wind at our backs.

I figured there's already an overabundance of negativity and pathological underappreciation around. This time the criticism is in the shape of things I really like and want to keep seeing!

And sometimes, I guess it's nice to put it into words why something is so enjoyable, then scream it into the void. NukaRide has been consistently great for so long.

I didn't plan on being helpful, but if a reminder of that scene contributes to changing it to work even better, I'm very happy indeed!

As I mentioned, I decided to change Cassius's look and it's no longer the one you can find in the mansion.

That one seemed like a funnier guy. This one is more serious.

If you have a "Azar ponytail" he will use this hairstyle, so it will be one of the few new soft requirements.

I'm thinking of trying out the Norita overboss-pet route but I'm curious how the OB will behave. I have a feeling A LOT of sex will be involved but on the other hand he is concerned about loosing that "virgin-charm" (even as non-virgin norita) for Golden Globes all the time. So what will happen?

The canon story is the one you want to play, and the one I consider the most polished. I prefer not to spoil too much, but there's so much extra content in this route that I sometimes feel bad for not enabling it in the other routes. xD
