I can't get NG2 mods working using the newest mod loader version, even in .dat format provided by alixandrd. NG3 works fine.

Are you storing NG2 mods in a separate mods folder? As that was a problem I ran into. You cannot put ALL the mods in a single mods folder. You have to separate them based on the game. So, what I did was essentially download the mod loader twice. Put the first copy in NG2 with it's mods and then the second download was put into the NG3 folder with it's mods. Then both games functioned perfectly. So try that.

mod works fine, every time start the game, have to start the mod

Ok, I need specifics. Screenshots of your modloader mods folder, description of the error. (Black screen, crashing, corrupt textures, etc.) This will help me to diagnose.

 

Another thing to try, install all mods via DOATool. If they work, you are doing something wrong with modsloader. If they don't, report back with screenshots or video.

 

As I literally bought the games the night I was having trouble, and as of the latest versions on Steam, all mods work correctly. At least the ones shared here. I run them through modsloader. So without a detailed explanation, I can only assume 2 things. 1) You are doing something wrong 2) You are using an outdated pirated copy. Again, these are assumptions given very little information. Do not take offense at said assumptions. I'm merely saying, without concrete info, going by the fact I literally bought the games after I encountered issues, all mods shared work with modsloader. For both NG2 and NGRE. And yes, I'm using the latest version of both the game files AND the modloader. My two assumptions are the only two that make sense without further clarification. As I now own a legit copy (thus my second point.) and I have personally gotten all mods to work. (thus my first point.)

I mean, I might be doing something wrong but I'm not sure how since NG3 works. Here is my file paths and the mods in the NGS2 folder. I have legit Steam copies. There are no errors, in fact it says it succeeded. But then the mods just don't appear to work in game.

Dat files seem in order. Are you sure you are choosing the correct costume ingame? I ran into that problem myself. My advice? Download a 100% save. Backup your own save, and put that one in the proper folder. Test ALL costumes for ALL the modded characters. Quickest route is not the story but the challenge modes. Forget which one, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

 

I know this sounds extremely stupid, but again I had the same problem. I wasn't picking the correct costume. You can also reference the pictures provided by the modder for each mod. As he does put the little icon for that specific costume in the upper left hand corner of the images.

 

Plus with you saying there's no errors or even crashes. Sounds like you are just not using the correct costumes. Again, don't feel bad, I did the EXACT same thing. Plus, considering you have NG3 working, I'm about 95% sure this is your issue. Especially with your screenshot. But, if that's not the case, please include screenshots of EACH costume in your next reply. As well as a note beside the one you think is supposed to be working with a mod. This will prove or disprove my theory.

He outlined how to fix this. (Literally just taking the files @alixandrdcreated and renaming them for the missing files. So, for example, one mod provided by @alixandrd could only have one TMC and one TMCL for a character, but actually require two TMC's and two TMCL's for a total of 4 files. So to fix the missing files, you literally just duplicate the original files once and renaming them to the missing ID's. Resulting in the correct total of 4 files. Two TMC's and two TMCL's. Again @the_tanuki provided an explanation on this. Which is linked above. So far, I haven't encountered any issues indicating his info is false. But then again, I haven't played the games beyond checking to make sure the mods work. So I've literally just watched cutscenes for the characters to ensure the cutscene mods show, then play said character for 2 or 3 minutes to see if the ingame mods work. So if any bugs arise, I have not encountered them yet, because I haven't played the games extensively. So anyone using the setup I provided, will have to report a bug.

 

But that is how I arrived at my mods folder for NGS2. I downloaded all available mods from @alixandrd, and read @the_tanuki's post, and created any missing files from the ID's he provided using the files from the mods already provided by @alixandrd

 

Hopefully that all makes sense. If not, anyone is free to reply back to my post asking for clarification and I'll try my best to do so. But that is the information I used when setting up my mods.

As far as I'm aware, it includes all mods released so far. If there are any missing mods, as always, please alert me to that fact, and I'll update it.  As I have not beaten or really even played the game beyond testing these packs for a few minutes. I know I included all character mods released (nude) including cutscene mods, and Sonia. But I cannot rule out bugs. So people with more time, and who don't have the watchful eye of a significant other who is offended by nude mods, can test. I'll fix any issues that I'm able to when and if they arise.

 

Note before going forward for NG3RE :

 

I did not include Fatboy's Kasumi mod. It is yet another mod that exists for NG3RE. But I've seen ALOT of bug reports about it. So while I do have it, I'm not including it. As again, I want this pack to be stable with as little troubleshooting as possible. Once I can figure out if it works properly, I may include it in the future. But for now, two mods for her should be enough.

 

I also did not include the enemy mod that replaces all fodder enemies with naked Kasumi. Again, if you want that, you can find it in this topic. It's not everyone's cup of tea. (I personally don't like it. As I really don't want clones of a character attacking me. Even nude ones, when I can simply look at my character.) So I did not include it.

 

NG3RE release.

 

Again, I'm merely packaging and making it simple for everyone! All credit goes to the respective modders and tool creators! I take absolutely no credit for ANY of the mods or tools in this package. I merely tried my best to create an AIO package that is as simple as possible to get up and running. Using information from this thread. A big shout out to @tianmuxia @alixandrd and @the_tanuki. Without them, these packs absolutely would not be possible. I took the information, tools, and mods they provided and refined it. NOTHING MORE!

I Included the HDM mods for Kasumi and Ayane. They are in the backup folder properly labeled.

 

The default mods that are in the mods folder, are the original nude mods. I have also backed them up under BACKUP2.

So, you can decide which mods are better for you. The original or the HDM mods.

 

To install the HDM mods or restore the original mods, simply copy and paste the files from either the BACKUP or BACKUP2 folder back into the main mods folder.

The files for both characters are below. So you understand which ones go with which character.

Kasumi files ;

00823.dat

Note : Yes, Momiji has a nude mod. But she does not have multiple nude mods that I'm aware of. Hence why she is not covered above.
When and if a second nude mod comes out for her, I will update this package with the same ability to select mods as Ayane and Kasumi have.

 

Conclusion : As always, if you have any issues with something I've provided, please don't hesitate to send me a message, or post a reply in the game's thread.
But as this is built as an "All in One" solution. You shouldn't have any issues. Just extract the archive and follow the screenshot to install the mods. As long as your game folder looks like mine, simply launch the game, then click on Tmx_NgLoader.exe. This will patch the game, and you are good to go.

Thank you so much for your works, they are great. But I found that when rachel is sprinting against the wall (similar to RYU's Feiyan), a large red block will appear to block the entire screen. Is there a way to solve this problem?
