Your game only crashes when a striker dies? can you try killing a couple of strikers with the console? (this ignores some stuff)

DW should be "Dripping when aroused"

I already tried killing a striker with the console. That's a 100% chance to crash the game.

Can provide some context about the situation: How many strikers; Have you killed them manually or via console or both; does your game crash immediantly after killing a striker; is there anything else going on while a striker dies?

Sometimes I can kill a few of them without issues, then the next one crashes the game. Doesn't matter if I kill them myself or with the console, it's pretty random. Game usually crashes just as they're turning into goo. Not much else going on really, just me and the striker. 

 

Could be related to what they're wearing possibly. Maybe some Devious Device the strikers can spawn with will crash the game after despawning when they turn into goo after death ? 

 

Edit: I also just tried to disable a striker through the console, which ended up freezing my game.

Hmm, this is a really odd behaviour, your game should definitely not freeze when disabling anything. sadly i couldnt find anything helpful in the log. The only guess i have is that this must either be caused by a compatibility issue with another mod of yours or maybe the new anniversary edition (if you have it activated). 

 

Something you could try out is to set the chance for key and weapon drops to 0% as well as disabling the MCM setting: 'Remove Striker Devices on Death'.

Also please use this edited version of the recent update, i have only added a couple more log messages. And send me the new log.

Let me know me what results you get.

Didn't even have to kill one to get it to crash this time. I simply fought a White Catsuit Striker and it crashed mid-fight.

As you can see the very last line is in both cases another mod. Worth mentioning is that my mod is also currently working which can be seen in the first lines, again in both cases. 

I assume that your crashes arent caused by devious strike in particular, but rather by the multitude of things from different mods happening at the same time. This probably overwhelms skyrim and causes it to crash, because the game cant handle everything at once.

Additionally you have had strikers die and have fought them without a crash, which suggests that in your case Devious strike is working absolutely fine. It just so happens to be last thing your game needed for it to crash. 

Have you used a save cleaner like Fallrim's tool to check your save for unattached script instances and undifined elements? And have you updated all your mods to the newest versions?

 

 

Also there is this about 267 times in your log, it probably doesn't cause the crash, but you might consider doing what it says (Bold), just so your skyrim gets a bit cleaner and safer:

I guess this is caused by your *Campfire.esm plugin. 

Apart from that there are only the typical warnings and error messages in your log, which can be ignored. like In the beginning of your log there are many warnings from MTSE about properties that no longer exist (Probably has to do with the mods versions or a patch, not sure though). This is nothing game braking so dont worry about it too much.

So I did a lengthy playtest of modded skyrim yesterday and got to see your mod in action. It was great fun. I had like 4 followers and 4 slaves by the end of it and it was fun to see followers like Toccatta and Sofia suddenly wearing bondage gear. A great way to farm devious devices.

My one singular complaint (which is probably a bodyslide issue at my end) is that Toccatta is now locked in red high heeled booties that are missing leg textures so she looks weird.

I'm also using OBIS and a batched patch to get the leveled list right for clarity but it was a fun addition to the experience. And the other devious devices dependent mod 'Laura's Shop' was fun as well so I have no problem keeping devious devices in my load order.

Amazing to hear that everything works fine and that you enjoy the experience. And yes the red high heel bootiesshould have nothing to do with my mod, as far as i know.

I will say it certainly makes dungeon crawling a lot more interesting at high levels since even with someone in daedric armor and a dragonbone war axe to back me up the devious strikers can affect your game play.

I am glad too. If I have one criticism. It's that It would be nice if there was a location specific way to easily and quickly get rid of the devices. By the end of one dungeon three of four of my team were covered and the struggling is a fun gimmick for now but even with Laura's shop as a place to buy keys it can be a faff. With Devious strikers the invonvenience is part of the gameplay in the dungeon. It actually would lose something if the player could tolerate going through dungeon after dungeon completely trussed up so being able to start fresh each dungeon would help.

Maybe add an NPC who will remove all the items for free because he intends to sell them later. That is after all a mechanic the player could do themselves with this mod and that Laura's bondage shop references as how it gets its stock.

Regarding the missing legs in pic 1, it seems to be the same issue, DD's catsuits had. Find the Armor Addon entry of the dress in CK/Xedit and add the flag for "38 - Calves" in BOD2(First Person Flags) to it.

I guess the boots in pic 3 are from the same outfit mod like the dress? That would explain why the legs for the dress were cut off this high.

 

Edit*: Not sure if this edit will mess with the boots, tough.

It's literally just devious devices. I have installed some armour mods but nothing like that. The support page thread for it is 250 pages and I've not dared look at it lol

Wait you mean the dress? It's literally the dress Tocatta comes with and she's one of the bijin family companions.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant the current version, V0.4.

Didn't play for some time, so this version is still new for me.

Anyone else having the problem where all striker have black faces and white bodies?

I know is has something to do whit the face meshes but i dont get wheres the problem.

The 'black face' issue is caused by texture conflicts. Most likely you have a poorly installed bandit overhaul mod

Check if Devious Strike conflicts with another mod. If so, make sure that the install order is the same as the load order. Meaning if Devious Strike is installed after another mods with conflicts, meaning it overwrites files from another mod, make sure Devious Strike is loaded after said mod. Vice versa if another mod overwrites Devious Strike.

If your mod manager does not notify of any conflicts, try to remember what mods of yours change the look of generic NPCs, and make sure the above is followed.

has anyone here had any issue where they cant unequip their dd devices? even if they have keys? like if you remove them they just get reequipped and if you drop them a new one is spawned.

I specifically installed a mod called devious devices helpers that's supposed to make it so followers can help you out of devices. The dialogues never come up.

havent tried that mod, though personally would find it annoying since gag makes talking difficult. and that is useless if followers are in bondage or if player is alone.

especially since i cant take off items even with keys. it has haulted my corrent playthorough.
