Yes, repairing itself is done in Abadon Plug, i.e. wearer tries to escape it, reduces it's durability, it kicks in, vibrates, wearer orgasms, plug's durability is partially restored, you see message about it.

Everything since seems fine with the references (loading properly, etc., on subsequent DD flips), knock on wood, but I think I'm still having issues with timed locks (and only timed locks...).

I didn't tough the orgasm resist minigame in some time. Will have to do some maintenance then. But it should still somehow work (but maybe buggy).

I have created again poll for current beta. Please, if you have played the beta, try to fill it. it's only like 5 questions and it anonymous. Result from poll can greatly help us to know what is currently the biggest issue, and if we can release the 2.1 soon.

You are right.But the fix is so slow that it doesn't seem worth the Orgasm resist minigame.And it cannot fix the opened lock.May need a difficulty adjustment slider?

installed 5.2 beta 10 RC, upgraded to latest beta, new save etc. Devices won't register. Am I doing something wrong?

I bet that these two issues are related. For some reason, the player reference was not set correctly when game started. For now, I will add check which will just force the player to the slot if its not set. its dirty fix, but should work. It's still strange, tho. Can any of you check quest UD_NPCSlotsManager_Quest with console ? Just type sqv UD_NPCSlotsManager_Quest and it should dump some info. Player should be forced to reference alias 005 NPCSlot_Player

I think, after 2.0 update (and next versions too) i'm having lots of slot issues, like some devices not being registered by UD, some are duplicated in UD slots, I can fix it by doing FIX in UD debug MCM, but it breaks sometimes something else, like possibly turning hardcore mod (im unable to access inventory). Before 2.0 i had no slots issues.

My widgets have disapeared after some time. Had a new game and anything worked fine for a while. Have the "iwantwidgets" installed. Its shown in MCM and i tried "test widgtes" and "reset UI" but that doesnt help. Even the standard widgets (health, arousel, etc.) dont show anymore. Playing on AE. Thx for this great mod, really love it , regards !

 

edit: Only thing i changed was instaling "Unforgiving Devices - Extra Animations 1.0.0" but i think that shouldnt do anything bad.

I have the same issue. If I do the general fixes it registeres the devices i am wearing. but i cannot struggle out of them using this mod, only if i get someone to help me.

Sorry for stupid question, but have you tried to restart the game and load last save? Sometimes it helps with iWW issues.

Second questions. Have you tried to switch to native controls and back to iWW, i.e. uncheck/check "Use iWW" options on MCM UI/Widget page? You should also save and reload to make it work.

 

It really helps us if you attach Papyrus log just after the loading the save. Before that you should increase logging level.

1. Load save.

2. Open MCM menu and increase logging level to 3.

3. Save game.

4. Load last save.

5. Wait 30-60 sec and save the Papyrus.0.log from C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Logs\Script\

@ihatemykite so this topic doesn't look like pure troubleshooting, wanted to thank you and your team for the awesome mod, it greatly expanded upon the possibilities of DD and sure made gameplay a whole lot more fun. Keep up the good stuff!

Hmm. Well, I said it seemed to be working after I forced the reference once (on subsequent equips), but I just booted up the game and tossed some devices on and it did not fill the reference (on equip, on scan, etc.). It *did* pick up one of the DCL Bound Girls on save load and put her in NPCSlot_1 (skipped NPCSlot_0), and when I subsequently put a collar on my follower it loaded them into NPCSlot_0... but nothing is picking up my character again.

 

I will say that escaping events, etc., works even w/o the reference/alias in place... though now that I think about it I'm not sure if I've had Sentient/On Orgasm/etc. devices do anything since the upgrade (to be fair I've not been caught in that sort of setup since then, lol). (Edit: Checking several other quests, yeah, the player ref alias is not filled, so things like the OrgasmManager also don't work. Whew.)

 

I am running Skyrim SE with a too-big mod list, though, so this might be self-inflicted. ;) When I have some time to dig deeper I'll start a brand new game and see if the issue manifests there or if it was just off the upgrade b/w minor versions, here, and maybe test out the latest version off Git. My save may just be bricked. :(

 

I will also add, since I see some other discussion, that I was having an issue with the iWW widgets. They do not render when I load a save game. If I toggle them off, and back on, without exiting the MCM in between, they will start to work until the next time I have to load a game.

Hi guys, so I have a weird issue: the mod works pretty much as expected, except bras are not being rendered. I can see that they are equipped but they are invisible. This problem effects all kind of bras. Not sure if this is a problem from DD 5.2 or maybe me using Devious Interests (another DD mod) but wanted to check if this is something that has come up in the context of this mod with anybody else. Thanks!

Check device hider. It should by default hide devious bras if you wear armor

Issue is that the player alias should be initiated at the game start. And framework needs the player to be filled to specific alias, not any alias. I added some changes on how the affected script is initiated. Fingers crossed, it should now work. Try the last version from here https://github.com/IHateMyKite/UnforgivingDevices/releases/tag/NB. New game will be required tho if you have the issue. Also, the reason why the issue was not relevant before is most likely because I increased max amount of registered NPC from 10 to 15.

Sounds like either same issue other people reported about aliases, or you have patch installed before patched mod. Check if you have patch for Devious Devices installed after both devious devices and unforgiving devices. I have also pushed the basic rules to LOOT master list. S if you have LOOT, it should correctly sort the patches. Sadly, it doesn't look like the master list for integrated MO2 LOOT was updated yet.

We are aware of this issue, and working on it. I have exact same issue sometimes. Only thing we found out is that it is somehow tied to game reload and thread safety. Do you use Papyrus NG ?

Hm, i use Papyrus tweaks, guess thats what you mean. After disabling "iwantwidgets", the normal UD widgets are working again.

Yes that is what I meant. I'm thinking that it relates to the problem. And more specifically, the Speed up native calls

Do you have that option enabled ?

I actually have no idea where to enabl/disable that. I have found "Speed up native calls" in Papyrus Tweaks mods meta.ini (the ziped download package), but just in a very long bunch of therms like this

 

"......se)\n<br />[/size]\n<br />[*]Speed up native calls (Formerly \"Run Scripts On Main Thread\"[/ ........."

 

Its not in the actual meta.ini in skyrim/data folder, nor skyrim.ini or skirimprefs.ini

I noticed i have "powerofthree's Papyrus Extender" not installed, not sure about, but i have seen its on the list of recognized installed mods in the UD MCM.

 

Edit: I uninstalled Papyrus Tweaks, but it just behaves the same.

You don't have to worry about the ini setting anymore as I have disabled it and still get the issue. But I have managed to make a save in which I have have big chance of getting the error. I'm already working on some adjustments which could help to prevent the issue. So far, I'm not getting it anymore. Sadly, if you already get the issue in your save, it will most likely be baked in it forever. I even tried to repair the save with resaver, but to no avail. I will give it a last chance and then give up.
