Really . Motion blur affects the hash PS/VS values.

That's kinda sucks
Since either everyone have to agree for what in-game settings mods are made, or making multiple version for some mods
Generally all settings to on/high would be fine for most, but motion blur is something really optional and depends on people's preferences

When I have some time I'll do testing on just how much shaders vary between motion blur on/off, if the changes consistent between those states it may be possible to add shader list in main ini that will detect and "swap" most common shaders depending on blur option


Is there anyone for whom some mods do not work when motion blur is disabled and work when enabled?

I need help with lighting effect. I tried following the tutorial but i'm either too stupid or too ignorant to make it work properly, i want to remove some lighting and/or fog effects that completely blind me on a few stages to the point it hurts my eyes.

 

Can anyone give me an example of what to write to remove the effects? I THINK the hashes are cd40934b5a1df08d and e2b2cc1e50106cdd.

Well, the only thing I've seen that was interfering was indeed motion blur and updated it, I tested this on mine and it works with either motion blur on or off. If this doesn't solve it, then somehow our versions have different shaders ID and i'd suggest you follow the tutorial on post #2 on how to find the hash ID and swap it to your own.

I was not aware that people willingly use motion blur nowadays. Isn't it an old technique to hide low FPS?

So I'm having a problem, nothing I put into the mods folder works. Like nothing at all, this includes the pre packaged mods like the remove blade and stuff. Is anybody else having this problem or is it just me? I press refresh and it refreshes, but nothing in the game changes at all.

Further edit: I've tried quite a bit but it just doesn't seem to recognize that there's anything in the mods folder so far as I can tell. I know it's recognizing the modenabler because that shows up on the title screen and the different buttons work. But my mods folder might as well be empty as far as the game is concerned.

update 3: I've gotten it to work, but it requires me to have the Basewear No Flap mod enabled and enabling that enables all other mods. Things are weird, I actually want to be able to see hide's knife but I guess I'm going to have to play without.

Are all your in-game graphics options is on/high?
Did you download some other mods too besides included with the enabler? Try removing them and leave only the "default" ones
Or you can you zip entire Mods folder and post here, I'll have a look at what is causing the issue

Wouldn't this be easier for players to have a step-by-step guide in modding Nioh 2, seeing how the mods rely on a multitude of variables such as graphic settings and item IDs between original and refashioned for them to work properly?

I tried the Kawanami shell and Thief's waistguard mods, and while they seem to work properly most of the time, they do not work when the character is in "hidden mode" AKA transparent, for example in tall grass. Not a huge deal, but an observation I made. See screens:

Also, if someone could remove the black fur parts from the front and back of the Thief's Waistguard (in addition to what the other mod did), or just post the values that need to be added to the .ini file, that would be awesome! Or hell, just make the whole thing invisible.

That should be possible with Cheat Engine. In most games, you can edit the slider values past their limits with it. No clue if anyone has tried with this game yet though, not as much eye candy pushing people to try =P

Can you add the flap back in the panties and remove the plates from the boobs leaving the bandages and shoulder decos?

Well I found out how to alter the chest size fairly easily but I can't get the changes to remain after editing the address, does anyone have any ideas?

None of these work for maxed graphics. Would it be possible to make your original version for maxed, the one with the side flaps?

They seem to reference the model for effects. It's probably a different shader that affects them. You can see that here with the hat:

I've noticed some differences with Mujina too.

 

Thanks everyone for testing and reporting. It seems only the shader is changed with motion blur so the texture hash looks fine. I've updated all my mods to include the motion blur hash. I tested adjusting other settings but didn't see anything break on my end. Just in case people are still having issues these are my settings, all mods on this site work for me. Try getting as close to this as possible if you have an error.
