Make sure that you have downloaded and installed all of them. - Main mod - Patch - Textures.

I can do that easily enough with the normal jail system but I wanted to find out if this uses a different system (likely) and how to tell when capture and release happens. @xaz can answer this a lot better then I, but as far as I can tell the player gets added to xpoFactionPrisoner while jailed. I saw the faction but I was wondering if there is a mod event sent when the player is jailed or released so I can trigger my own events from those.

Do they come bundled in the same download folder? There are four files on the Zaz downloads page here. The first is a German translation. Assuming you don't need that, you need to download and install all three of the others. First install the Main file, then install the Textures, then overwrite with the Patch.

I saw the faction but I was wondering if there is a mod event sent when the player is jailed or released so I can trigger my own events from those. There is a notification when the player is arrested saying "player has been arrested for petty/minor/major crimes" or something like that. I guess that's an event you could hook onto? If not there is the forced equip/unequip of a gag and cuffs at the arest and release. Sorry if this is completely useless, but I don't really know much about modding. Anything actually.

Yeap we definitely need @xaz for that, because I did not see that in the code.

My game crashes a lot more now and I'm trying to narrow it down. Not sure if I'm imagining it, but I don't recall getting this many xpo errors before, and my log files now get gigantic just from loading a save.

Make sure you have the xazPrisonOverhaul.bsa in your Data folder. If you do then uninstall; redownload; clean your save; and reinstall PO and the patch, if using MO check your settings for that as well.

Sorry blonde moment forgot what they were called.Also my player does the animations, but the npc guards do not. also my player strips, but the guards just strip down to there vanilla underwear.
Eskella Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I've run into a curious issue, and I'm not sure what the cause is. I'm basically getting the Markarth guard bug, but with every guard faction. I'm not sure if it's related to PO, since it happens with PO culled, but I figure the thread might be able to offer some suggestions. Essentially, if a guard comes up to me while I have a bounty, the regular dialogue starts. If I elect to pay the bounty, that part of the routine seems to work, but the bounty isn't cleared (I get ported, lose the gold, lose stolen items, but bounty persists). If I go to jail, I get the dialog, and then the guard walks away (or, if I have a major bounty, they immediately move to arrest me again). It seems to have started when I escaped from prison w/ PO installed (I noticed a little while after saving that none of the guards seemed to even care, and any bounty I incurred w/ that faction wasn't being added to my crimegold total), though I can't say for sure -- I noticed it first later on /after/ removing PO while trying to trigger it. If I trigger an arrest using the debug menu, the regular PO prison process kicks in. I tried culling PO and cleaning my save (using 'clean save' processes + SaveTool). Same with Guard Dialog Overhaul mod, and anything else I could think of that modified guard behaviour or prison events (which was really only Maria Eden, as far as I can tell). On a new game, even with that mod set, it /seems/ to work fine. Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing it to fail, or if there's anything I can watch/log/use to test it out? My current Papyrus log shows nothing. I really don't want to undo several hours of work on that save if I can avoid it. I don't mind dicking around further but I have no idea what else might block/hijack/cause that to fail.
greenquesadilla Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 It look like v33 works for the most people, but even with the patch it´s like the vanilla prison and nothing else on my game. So i disable all the other mods and try it again. If it works than, than i look for the mod that make this problem and i report it. Try going through vanilla prison. Reset PO in the MCM, get arrested and sleep to pass the sentence if it's still vanilla, then the next arrest should be with PO. That fixed it for me. Its working now, with the same mods like befor. I disabled all other mods what po don´t used. This was working than, i enabled one after the other and now it works. I didn´t try to reset it, but thanks for your help. Exactly which mod did you find to be the problem? Resetting the mod, going through the vanilla jail system and trying it again, and reinstalling isn't fixing this. My game crashes a lot more now and I'm trying to narrow it down. Not sure if I'm imagining it, but I don't recall getting this many xpo errors before, and my log files now get gigantic just from loading a save. Yeap, looks like you are missing all the scripts. Make sure you have the xazPrisonOverhaul.bsa in your Data folder. If you do then uninstall; redownload; clean your save; and reinstall PO and the patch, if using MO check your settings for that as well. I use MO. bsa is enabled. I also checked the data section of MO. xposcenariocell and xposcenariopillory are listed and originate from your patch (main mod's BSA don't contain those files) xposcenariobase is listed and originates from the main mod BSA. Any of those scripts the ones you thought I was missing?

I do not use MO so I cannot advise you in its use, but I've read that if not set up properly it might not install mods correctly ... that could be your problem. But you should try what I suggested before first though.
VanessaSky Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I used to get all those Papyrus errors when I installed PO, played for a while, then installed the patch on top of it. To fix them, you have to install both PO and the patch at the same time. If PO is already installed then uninstall it and clean your save first before installing them. It's possible that you might also need to do this when updating PO from an older version.

My game crashes a lot more now and I'm trying to narrow it down. Not sure if I'm imagining it, but I don't recall getting this many xpo errors before, and my log files now get gigantic just from loading a save. Yeap, looks like you are missing all the scripts. Make sure you have the xazPrisonOverhaul.bsa in your Data folder. If you do then uninstall; redownload; clean your save; and reinstall PO and the patch, if using MO check your settings for that as well. I use MO. bsa is enabled. I do not use MO so I cannot advise you in its use, but I've read that if not set up properly it might not install mods correctly ... that could be your problem. But you should try what I suggested before first though. I updated my post while you were typing that response. I mentioned some scripts I saw in my update. Either way, it's pretty hard to mess up with MO, and I've been using it for a long time and am quite familiar with it. Some simple mistakes to make would be if you don't have a mod enabled, or if you accidentally disabled a mod's BSA. I checked and that is not the case for me (I mentioned that in my updated previous post). In some rare cases, mods may not install correcting when it uses fomod, but that is super rare and has since been fixed in an MO update. The prison overhaul mods also don't use fomod, so that issue won't occur here. I also have prison overhaul and its patch installed into separate folders so there are no issues of accidentally replacing instead of merging files. Bottom line: My mods look to be installed, enabled, and sorted correctly. To check, I asked this in my last updated post: I also checked the data section of MO. xposcenariocell and xposcenariopillory are listed and originate from your patch (main mod's BSA don't contain those files) xposcenariobase is listed and originates from the main mod BSA. Any of those scripts the ones you thought I was missing?

Attached papyrus log. Never mind. Turns out MO renamed the patch to v33 and I was confusing that with the actual download on the front page.

Attached papyrus log. Ok let's try these steps. Uninstall PO v31, 32, 33, Patch. Go into the game and find a small cell i.e. I use Lakeview Mannor's basement. Wait for 3 hours (use game's wait feature) or until PO MCM menu is gone. Make a new manual save. Exit game. Clean new save you made in 4. Go back in game, load cleaned save from 6. Make sure PO MCM is still gone, wait another 3 hours in game. Make yet another new manual save. Clean the new save you made in 9. If you get no more hits, your save is clean. If it still finds something repeat from 4, until it doesn't. Install PO v33_fix and the latest patch (i.e. Patch No. 4e) only, DO NOT install PO v31 or 32. If using MO make sure the settings are correct. Run FNIS as an admin. Go in game and load your clean save from 10. Go into MCM menu, if you have PO there proceed to the next step, if not exit MCM and wait 2 game hours. Repeat 15 until you get the PO MCM. Set your PO MCM settings, you can use mine as a template from here My PO settings. Go into a town and transform into a werewolf or a vampire lord so you can get a bounty, run away before the townsfolk kill you, stay away for 24 hours, go back and repeat until you get a bounty bigger than in your MCM settings. Wait for the PO bounty hunter to catch up with you, or give yourself up to a guard.
