The characters looked alright to me, but I'll look into this during the weekend. I'm planning on giving a massive overhaul to my other mod anyway.

Just in case so, I released an update that might remedy the issue.

What are the patches for? Could use a short section for explaining.  EPE I know what is, but FECR and HP don't ring a bell.

HPP is this mod (Human Phenotype Project) and FECR is Far Eastern Cultures and Religions, my other mod. You can see the link to it from my signature.

Some changes need to be made to Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian cultures. They can be quite a bit similar looking, repetitive and the other issue is most of them look purse lipped.  For Indian cultures the eyes are gigantic for some characters, though not as common as the purse lips phenotype for Scandinavians.

for the mods you need to add matching cultures for the dead religions like Akkadian, Hittite, Ugaritic, Babylonian and Sumerian can be put into Byzantine

Phoenician, Canaanite and Carthaginian can be put into a Punic Group, etc. etc. etc.

also etruscan on its own or put with basque for pre-indo-european cultures

Is there a way for this mod to picked up culture from large mods? Example would be Asia Expansion mod. In the south east corner of the world map; the characterize all of the culture genes with middle Indian genes. Regardless if they are Papuan, Salu, Ifugao or Java people. Zero justice for north east corner of the map. It lump all of the Japonic, Koreanic or Jurchen people with the Han genes. I visit the website constantly to ensure that gene as least reflect the phenotype of the people themselves. I do recalled it is the same for Oriental Empire and Raja of Indochina; I could be wrong though.

Thanks, I will look into them and fix them in the next release, after the Iberian patch.

I think you're in the wrong topic. You're looking for Far Eastern Cultures and Religions for CK3.. Though, you are right tho.

By default, this mod is incompatible with any mod that changes vanilla culture groups or add new cultures. Compatibility patches need to be developed - it just won't work out of the box without a compatch.

If you want me to make a compatibility patch, just say the word and I'll do it.

Sine I used a lot of playsets and mods. I will narrow now to just Asian Expansion mod. This is one of the mod that encompass ass many of the Asian culture with respect. Meaning Oriental Empires could less about the English translation and no regards for the South East Asian cultures and setup. Noticeably they include the region but it is barely worked on; incomplete names, family names, incomplete provinces, etc.

When it comes to Raja of Indonesia a.k.a Raja of Asia. The name would mean that it encompass as many north and south Asia region. Yet, for some strange reason Korea and Japan is not included. Absolute mind boggling.

Now comes Asia Expansion mod; which filled the hole and fix the weirdness of above mods. If you can make a compatch for Asian Expansion and also worked with Character Body Overhaul mod and company.

Ever since the updates of the CBO mods as of last week of 29 May 2022. It is clearly this mod is no longer compatible.

Sorry for the long explanation but this is my request.

Asian Expansion hasn't been updated since February. In fact, it's not even compatible with newer versions of CK3 that have done away with culture groups altogether.

With that being said, I updated HPP for 1.6.0 and created compatches for EPE, MB+ and RICE.

I guess I will use RICE for now and thank you for the attempt. Just hope the author(s) does not a pull The Bronze Age: Maryannu development cycle. In which they are most doom in the discord abyss since last year. The mod has so much potential and yet fall shorts due to not keeping up with the game update. At least they are on the Imperator Rome side.

How do I implement your patch? Since they do not have a mod file associated with them.

The most recent release has the mod files for the compatches.

What's the recommended load order for this and all the compatches?

1. Original mod (e.g. EPE, RICE, MB+, etc.)

2. HPP

3. Compatch

Are you referring the to the compatch mod itself on the steam workshop or patches that is integrate within the HPP mod?

I am referring to the compatch mod itself, which I have published myself on LoversLab, Nexus and Github.

I'm unware of anyone else developing HPP-compatches and publishing them on Steam Workshop.

Looks like this mod conflicts with RICE, even with the RICE compat patch. I get loads of errors about language groups not set.

This mode doesn't do anything with languages, so it must be an error within RICE itself.

Would to informed the Asia Expansion has been updated as of 07 Jun 2022 according to steam logs.

On a side note MB is More Bookmark mod? Find it odd that your mod would need a patch for a mod that only added extra bookmarks in the game. Then again I could be wrong.

Ok, I've done some reduction and found that the problem is caused by a combination of HP, RICE and Sinews of War. Any two of these mods work well together, but they break if I try to load all three. The issue seems to disappear if I disable the HP-RICE patch though. But I guess it's a bad idea to run HP and RICE without the patch?

I'll look into AE after work then.

As for MB - It's the More Bookmarks+ mod, and it does add new cultures.

Does Sinews of War add any new cultures, or edit vanilla cultures? If the answer is yes, I will need to create a compatch for it too.

I know very little about CK3 modding, so I'm not sure. It does add a feature called language families, which probably involves changing cultures. HP seems to work ok with SoW as is (I'll let you know if I see any issues). It's only when RICE is added into the mix that you get lots of weird warnings on game start.
