Invictusblade Posted July 27, 2023 Author Posted July 27, 2023 so I am going to divide the MCM into two pieces. (it will be easier than dividing the mod) 1. contains Tattoos and Hair 2. contains Acne, Birthmarks, Moles, Scars, etc (basically the other overlays) because it is getting excessive with content that everyone may not use it just kinda exploded btw I will be adding Scars 1

But update seems really huge) One more but... It works Damn Good! Great work) All my overlays is applying. I noticed, that at first PubicHair wasn't work, though slider in General Options (GO) was on 99%. Then I switched to General Overlay Manager (GOM) and choose "general pubic_hair options" to x4. This solved problem. Pubics are applying, but I saw other options in GOM also are Disabled, But they was set at some value - percent in GO. That's doesn't matter much for me, cos I cosider all npc have same bodies with same problems and perculiarities. This doesn't apply to Tattoes certainly. I didn't check if all of my skin/scne/whatever ovls are supported yet, but they are supported! And that's cool! Thank you for efforts - it really motivating, and I thing I'll finish my overlays by the weekend. Got some problem with it - some people reports mosaoc/pixel glitch with archived ba2 version, and do not with loose texture version. upd: One more interesting behavior. I forgot to say, that there is one more type of overlays - SkinType. It's about thinskin/thickskin/veins/varicouse and stretches. And I don't see it mentioned in your updated version. But they works too!!! How come?? It's not nessesary including this, I can combine 'em with skinTextures. But the only thing I will need to expand skinTexture to 20 instead 10. As for perfomance, it's surely rocket now. Process goes sfaster and definetely smoother. Only barely noticeable boobTwitching (hello physics) so I went over your ESP of ROF and found most of the added content and added to the new version I noticed the texture issues as well (with bodyhair_05, bodyhair_09, and bodyhair_10) but there is always teething issues so I am ignoring it at the moment btw can you post/message me your upcoming strings so I can make the changes now On 7/25/2023 at 2:55 AM, SilentPain99 said: I do use the latest one. The female Chars will have tattoos but the body will be the "normal one" I made with batch build via body slide. ok I am a bit confused, can you explain it again because do Male NPC's have issues? or does the player does have issues? because you are talking about tattoos(overlays I assume) in one part and morphs in the another. *maybe you are talking about Skin overrides, but I am not sure so that statement doesn't make any sense (in my eyes) 10 hours ago, vaultbait said: Thanks for resuming work on this, you've been missed! My only suggestion so far (I haven't tested the latest versions extensively yet) is to pick one mechanism for applying the overlays and get rid of the question in the FOMOD installer (or at least make it much more obvious that you recommend whichever one you expect to work the best). I consider myself relatively experienced at using mods and am familiar with what the terms in the various options mean and know how to integrate with the other dependencies they mention (having configured them fairly often in the context of other mods), but even I'm never entirely sure which of the numerous options there I should choose. Is SPID better or is RobCo Patcher better for this case? Perk or spell? I know the differences between these, but not why I ought to choose one over the others for your mod's backend. Too much choice with insufficient justification of the options will only confuse users. Also, is the invisible dead bodies workaround for BodyGen expected to be functional now, or is it still not really doing what you expect? Just curious whether I can drop my other workarounds and recommend this as an alternative. about SPID vs Robco Patcher, I don't actually know which is better Robco Patcher gets more updates and it requires fewer requirements(I think) *and there has been performance upgrades so I decided to get feedback from the players, so going into the perk system, it was another attempt at giving dead NPCs overlays because it can have a script attached so I did make a quest/perk script that tells the NPC to equip the armor piece (Overlay manager) but it doesn't seem to work at all. *Dead NPCs do get the perk but nothing happens but nevertheless, I decided to keep it because of debugging reasons (using Better console, you can see if a NPC has been hit with this perk) *I should reverse my perk removal code 7 hours ago, Two Bucks said: i have everything set to mid 90's and x4 everywhere. i have all the pubes mods and tats. its farthest down in load order. i got nothing. i even changed the file bc i use AAF. im not getting anything. is this compatible with lots more settlers and enemies? thats the only thing i have. so which distribution system are you running? Robco or SPID (and Perk or Spell) because my load order has ROF fairly high (22 of 106 mods) and I don't think load order does anything to ROF also do the overlays work in looksmenu? also which mode are you running (Quest(default) or armor) 1

My ROF load order is up there like yours except for invisible bodies thats 73 of 113 everything else is below 30. yes the overlays work in looks menu. (for player) im not understanding the last question so i will assume default. The problem is all the npcs. nothing shows up on any of them.

Yes it was not pretty well written by me. Sorry for that. The female Chars will have tattoos but the body (bodyshape) of them will be all the same. Everyone will have the same build, not the same tattoos. The males .... ok ... all of them are fat .. But I am not sure where that one comes from xD Hope that one explains it a little bit better.

vaultbait Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 @Invictusblade: Since you're back, it's probably a good time to remind you and @Sthan Dustthat there's a script conflict between ROF and AE. Unfortunately, because ROF packs its scripts in a BA2 and AE has that script file loose, anyone installing both mods ends up using the older loose file from AE automatically and not having any indication in their mod manager that there's a conflict between the two. Worse, that old version in AE has no AAF player double detection, which I think is why none of the player detection tricks you tried in ROF ever worked for me. I've explicitly deleted the loose INVB_Overlay_Faction_Sorter.pex from my copy of AE which should hopefully fix this once and for all, but you might consider shipping at least that one file loose in future ROF versions, at least until some coordination between the two mods can be worked out. Also, related, in trying to trace through the scripts to figure out why this wasn't working, I noticed you forgot to pack most of your script sources in the latest version of ROF (I ended up decompiling the PEX files with Champollion in order to figure out what AAF double detection techniques you ended up trying).

I am playing a Galac Tac Retribution with Galac Tac Mercs and Music playthrough. *the mods is pretty enjoyable.

Just experimented with options and lost it. Now I have OFF for favtional overlays (this means ROF behavior is the same for everybody, yes?). Then set 100% for bodyHair and PubicHair. In General_Options and General_Overlay_Manager tab I set PubicHair and BodyHair like this for comparison: GOchances 100%, GOoptions Everything, GO_ModifierOptions x4 and General_BodyHairOptions << there's no options about Body. Shouldn't it be there? Only General_PubicHairOptions, which I set to x4. BodyHair Options exists in all other Faction tabs, But in gereral omited. So PubicHair only applies. I can apply BodyHair manualy via LM, though. And I definetly do not see anything concerning SkinTypes. (10 ones). Really have no idea, how do they applied first time after installing new version )) May be some old config file wasn't ovewrited at first time? Woks only Acne, Birthmarks, Skintextures, Moles and Pubichair. SkinTypes (*01-*10) and BodyHair (*01-*10) does not. Edited July 28, 2023 by Jeffey67
