llamaa Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013  Hello, thanks for all the great armors and other stuff. Is there an easy way to add them to my inventory other than finding and typing each code in the console? Would it be possible to add a chest or NPC in qasmoke with all of your items?  Thanks again  Except for some of the early ones that were just replacements, they are all craft-able at the forge or tanning rack.   That's too bad. I kind of played the heck out of Skyrim already. At this point I just wanted to make some COTS characters and check out all the armors and such. Getting all the crafting components and crafting everything will take almost as much time as adding the items through the console. I have already spent some time trying to get all the items in my inventory but I know there are some i've seen in your images that I can't find or I missed somehow.
lostdaywalker Posted May 20, 2013 Author Posted May 20, 2013 Is the frost resistance/fire resistance on the body piece removable? I can craft everything fine, just dont care for the resistance. I tried replacing with the other esp and it didn't do anything. Â Â I'm quite sure they are dis-enchantable as well.
kuriboi Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 sry i meant if it had to have the enchantment. I removed it myself in ck so ignore my comment XDD and thanx for the great work. uguu123 Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 nice effects on body in last armor set, only 1 thing is disturbing  its not armor, its effect texture as i understand. but probably its unp body issue and unavoidable  btw LDW, are you tired from UNBB (DFC) and now work on pure UNP mostly?

Nothing to keep it up.Â

Killua Zoldyck Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Hi everyone and Lostdaywalker.Love your work lostdaywalker keep it up, my only request would be of course to make more boys stuff! XD  boys are like a "bench warmer" with this mod compared to how much the girls have  EDIT: Hehe I just actually noticed Dungeon Explorer outfit and oh my gawd am I jealous that it is only for girls when it practically looks like boys clothes except maybe the bra
Xocyll Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Let me first say I am not a modeler nor a texture artist and my changes are nothing more than pruning bits off existing armor pieces and or cut and paste texture changes. Anyway, I'm hoping this might inspire someone with actual skill to make a set like this (this is actually pieces of multiple sets crudely retextured.) Â Â
lostdaywalker Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Hi everyone and Lostdaywalker.  Love your work lostdaywalker keep it up, my only request would be of course to make more boys stuff! XD  boys are like a "bench warmer" with this mod compared to how much the girls have  EDIT: Hehe I just actually noticed Dungeon Explorer outfit and oh my gawd am I jealous that it is only for girls when it practically looks like boys clothes except maybe the bra     The boys get left behind while the girls get all the action and attention.  DE for boys is not a bad idea. I'll do it but I have got to finish the two I'm working on and then figure out the new forsworn.  Let me first say I am not a modeler nor a texture artist and my changes are nothing more than pruning bits off existing armor pieces and or cut and paste texture changes. Anyway, I'm hoping this might inspire someone with actual skill to make a set like this (this is actually pieces of multiple sets crudely retextured.)    That actually a really good job. Looks good.     I was looking around the Daz and poser sites for ideas that I'm capable of recreating, and I have discovered a sad fact. Just about every single armor that not vanilla on nexus is from Daz or Poser.  Except for maybe a handful, I've found them all. I hate to be left out. Forsworn 2.0       Â
AwfulArchdemon Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Damn, lostdaywalker! You're one hard working dude! All looks great, and soon, there will be as many CotS armors and outfits as the vanilla races! I still say this mod basically needs no update. It just always works fine. That's a pretty impressive feat, considering everything else always needs updated. I really wanna make an armor now! Feel like teaching me how?  Just kiddin'(?) I just know Sims 3 stuff on Photoshop. This is all quality stuff. Thanks!
Xocyll Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Let me first say I am not a modeler nor a texture artist and my changes are nothing more than pruning bits off existing armor pieces and or cut and paste texture changes. Anyway, I'm hoping this might inspire someone with actual skill to make a set like this (this is actually pieces of multiple sets crudely retextured.)    That actually a really good job. Looks good. Coming from you, that's quite a compliiment It's actually about the 8th generation. Elin's Fox15b armor with the sleeves snipped off because they weren't translucent, vixen sleeves and khantu panties from the UNP mashup and knitwear boots from armor pack 9 part 2 - used luna boots first but that heel just isn't suitable for running about the wilderness.  But if I had any real talent I'd actually be able to create some of these things, not just cut and paste and do things like add transparency  IE your Rider armor lace-ified, translucency in the texture doesn't actually seem to apply so it just does not look quite right, which is a pity since it's a very nice little dress.  The collar also seems to get it's color from another texture since it's still purplish.  Is it just me or are daggers in Skyrim absurdly large? I like your design, but it's more longsword sized then any dagger I've ever heard of.  Oh, I watched Arriety the other day and with a little tweaking your dagger could easily be turned into her stick-pin sword. Hmm, setscale .3 and run around skyrim as a borrower, there's a thought.
Xocyll Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 you can make a black version? Â Assuming you're talking to me, changing colors is quite easy in the GIMP, and from white to black or the other wasy around is easiest, just select and invert. Â Since the Rider dress is solid not translucent I thought red roses on Black might look better and inverted the cloak/sleeves/leggings to black to fit better yielding: Â Â Had to clean up the lace texture a bit for the dress since the little flecks that look good on a translucent item just look messy on a solid. Â None of this is really my work, I snagged the rose texture off the net and manipulated it a bit and applied the resulting texture(s) to other peoples creations. Â I couldn't create this stuff to save my life so to all you modellers and texture artists out there, thanks for your hard work and I hope you don't mind my edits of your creations.
Pacantre Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 That's how you repainted the dress looks even better than I expected. However, stockings and hose need in the same color. Maybe I just do not like transparent
Xocyll Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 That's how you repainted the dress looks even better than I expected. However, stockings and hose need in the same color. Maybe I just do not like transparent  So you want something more like this?   I was going to try for a red rose, green leaves effect but the way the texture is put on the Rider dress means it doesn't line up - there's a seam across the middle about level to where the elbows are - not immediately noticeable when it's all red (and not at all with the original texture) but VERY obvious with red and green and didn't look good.
Xocyll Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 You can download this version for downloading? Â I'm not sure if I'm legally allowed to. I snagged the original image off the net and it's from shutterstock (the demo image, not the downloaded one since I don't have a subscription there.) Â While I've edited it, colorized it, etc, the original image was copyrighted. Â I didn't think anythng of it at the time because I was making stuff no one but me would ever see. Â The original image http://www.shutterstock.com/cat.mhtml?searchterm=black+lace&search_group=&lang=en&search_source=search_form#id=100668139&src=-fpG5_Y4yEE-Pba19NEfQA-1-5 Â I'm going to look around and see what i can find that's similar and free to use.
Pacantre Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 That would be illegal if you were trying to obtain a commercial benefit from this.
lostdaywalker Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013  how about those LDW, maybe those give you some idea's to   http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/savage-dress-v4-a4/65963/  http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/black-feathers/92195/  http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/power-barbarian-v4-a4-g4-elite-f4/90863/  http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/power-apache/98297/    Black Feather and the barbarian have been out for a long time on modtype or 3dm.  The savage dress is a real simple design thats easy to make and I happen to have a texture like that as well, but the dead squirrel thing on the other side is quite creepy.      Cllar also seems to get it's color from another texture since it's still purplish.  Is it just me or are daggers in Skyrim absurdly large? I like your design, but it's more longsword sized then any dagger I've ever heard of.     Watch fate/Stay. Riders dagers are constantly changing size. Realistically it kind of a silly weapon and was more of an exercise in wondering if I could make them. I had them smaller but due to the way you have to hold them, it looked even more ridiculous.  Collar texture is with the mask.
Xocyll Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 That would be illegal if you were trying to obtain a commercial benefit from this.  Pretty sure copyright law doesn't care whethre you're making money or not, just ask Napster.  Anyway, done a bit of hunting around found a few other textures and pics of roses from various sorces (actual cloth, wallpaper, etc) and redone it.  It's not finsihed yet, but this is the current state (leaves are from the old texture, rose is from elsewhere.)  Not entirely happy with it on the Rider dreess because of the seams so I'm going to tweak it some more, but this is where it's at now.   I'm thinking I might scale it to make the the roses more the size they are on the sleeves/stockings, (about 1/4 of current size) which might make the seams less obvious.  I'd have gotten back to you before, but my computer is currently having issues and running very slowly and skyrim just stops responding when trying to load a save game about 90% of the time for no apparent reason.  No virus, and the disk itself doesn't seem to have any problems, so it's probably windows itself going wonky .  No doubt because I posted about the uptime of my alt computer elsewhere - 20 weeks without a reboot, so now my main computer has to be as stable as an elephant on roller skates
Xocyll Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Ok a little cut-fu and paste-jitsu later we have this.  Which is sufficiently different from any one copyrighted image that I would be comfortable sharing it, if anyone wants it.  Where does one upload these things to and is an account needed (or can stuff be uploaded to this site directly?  Just a reminder this is not a set, these are individual retextures of items from several different sets. The Rider dress, the white lace stockings from the redone Prince of the Wood set from the fx117 flatpack, and the Vixen sleeves from the Temptress set in the UNP mashup, so you'd have to have all those installed to get this look.  The problem with the original image is that they license it under a long list of restrictions so they could come after me for using it without paying them and/or violating their usage limitations if they really wanted to and I'd rather not have Feds at my door.
lostdaywalker Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Ok a little cut-fu and paste-jitsu later we have this.    Nice work.  That mesh is in so many parts due to me not having a clue what the hell I'm doing.  Mistakes in the early stage leads to " how the hell am I supposed to unwrap this?"  It was my first time using freeform mode.  Check out http://www.sharecg.com/ for free tile-able textures. And google's image search will find just about anything.Â

lostdaywalker Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 They have a lot of good free usable stuff. Sometimes you got to dig for it but its worth it. You can even use the textures from the poser mods as well.
