This is a tough one. I could disable the outfit switching / stripping with a toggle, but then I would have to change dialogue as well. What exactly is the issue? For example, the first time the spouse puts on the wench clothes, you are given a dialogue option to select a different outfit, which opens up the spouse's inventory to do so. I think there's only one other time the spouse puts on the wench clothes (going to the Jarl's party). I could add the same option there.

 

As for stripping the spouse, that's mostly done with Sexlab for Sexlab scenes, but there are some cases where I do it with a script in the mod to keep the spouse naked between sex acts. What conflict does this cause? So far, it's not the worst thing if the spouse redresses when I would prefer them naked.  But, in a future expansion, I might really want them naked for mod purposes. So far, I'm just removing the clothes/armor worn (to the spouse's inventory), but I could remove all inventory (to an invisible chest) if needed.

 

As for things that should stay on, I'm observing the "SexlabNoStrip" keyword, and not removing any items with that keyword.  It would be too much work to build in a slot-based strip/no-strip system like Sexlab has.

This is the likely cause. I've read in the P+ support thread that P+ functions that track actors' sex activity are bugged, but that this was solved and would be in the next version. I don't know the status of that. The cuckold quest uses Sexlab's track actors function to detect the end of sex events. This is used so that the spouse (or others) can naturally react and advance the quest after sex acts that drive the main quest line.

The cuckold quest (SLSF_Comments_CuckoldPC) and the bull quest (SLSF_Comments_Bull) are two separate quests, but they overlap at bit at the beginning. Specifically, the cuckold quest starts the bull quest. While the bull quest eventually takes over, at the point where the problem is, the cuckold quest is the applicable quest. What is the quest stage of the SLSF_Comments_CuckoldPC quest when you get stuck?

There is a bit of misdirection at work here. While the bull quest objectives start being advanced, the work of the first bull sex is still being done with the cuckold quest. Specifically, after they enter the house with the bull, the bull has a conversation with your spouse, undresses your spouse and takes her or him upstairs ("Very nice. Let's go upstairs now...") When this dialogue occurs the cuckold quest (SLSF_Comments_CuckoldPC) advances to 125, which tells Sexlab to start the sex scene. Sexlab then takes care of moving the bull and spouse to the bed and starting the animation. At the end of the sex animation, the quest advances to 130 and spouse should force greet you.

 

Do you have Breezehome mods? Do you have NPC behavior mods? Is your Breezehome crowded with NPCs?

When I get the quest to read the note from the whiterun steward I'm not given anything to read so I can't progress the quest? I get the quest to tell me to speak to the innkeeper and when i do it updates to tell me to read the note, but I don't have anything to read. I'm stuck and confused on how to progress rn

Do you have Breezehome mods? Do you have NPC behavior mods? Is your Breezehome crowded with NPCs?

I'm not using mods for Breezehome and I have three NPCS inside the house (Lydia, a custom follower and a summoned creature), but probably the issue is related to the spouse (in my case, Serana), since she's included in other mods as well (such as Trouble of heroines and Pet Project).
The issue is occuring during the steps you're describing: when sex animation ends, quest stage doesn't change to 130, so force greet doesn't start either.

It's probably because you're continuing the cuckold quest with the same spouse after previously running the prior version that had the first few stages of the cuckold quest. This is my bad. I should have made clear somewhere that you will need to reset the cuckold quest in such a case. The solution is to change to a different relationship type, break up with your spouse, change back to "PC is cuckold", and then remarry your spouse.  This will reset the cuckold quest.

But your spouse (Serana) has force greets after almost every sex scene in the quest. I assume the prior ones have all been working with Serana, or you wouldn't have got this far. Of course, there could still be differences. For example, this might be the first time Serana has sex in Breezehome, and it's possible another mod could be giving her an AI package in player homes. If two mods (quests) try to give the same NPC an AI package (outside of a "scene"), the quest with the higher priority wins.

 

I don't have a save with Serana as a follower to try her. Has anyone else used Serana?

Alright that seems simple enough, thanks for the help and your amazing mod

The lets make love option doesn't seem to be there when I set it back to "PC is cuckold" after breaking up and remarrying

Actually, at first I tried proceeding with quest stages, but I didn't know about bull quest.

Anyway, I've solved the issue: I'm also using Troubles of heroine and one specific quest changes Nazeem's behavior, by making him at questline's end a beggar who walks around Cloud district's bridge. After noticing that he was always trying to leave Breezehome (even right after getting inside), I tried loading a save where I didn't complete that specific quest and everything worked fine; also, I noticed that every interaction which had caused problems before was solved due to the fact that probably spouse's force greet was stuck at Nazeem's quest, stopping it from proceeding to the rest.

All solved, then! Many thanks again for your kind support and for the great mod, you're awesome!

I'm using Nether's Follower Framework and Serana Dialogue Add-on which come with their own outfit management systems that are area sensitive (town, dungeon, home) and they try to wrestle with the outfit that your mod wants to force. It's not a huge deal if not for wigs, which shouldn't be changed by any mod and I also can set up sexlab to ignore this specific slot in the animations&stipping tab. So if only sexlab scripts would be called that would be ideal.

I did not know about the SexlabNoStrip keyword, I'll try using that. Thanks for the reply.

Updated the mod from v3.65 to the latest version inside the nefaram modlist and the cuckold quest simply does not start. In a new save file, but I tried the steps described above to reset it anyway and still nothing. Restored the backup of the previous version and loaded the same save file and it works fine. If you have any idea of how to resolve this it would be greatly appreciated, was looking forward to updates to this mod.

Is your PC not given the dialogue option to say "lets make love" to start the quest either? I've been super confused on how to progress since resetting isn't working

Yeah the new version has released in the discord V2.14, but the quest still seems bugged. Can you take a look again?

Okay so I figured out by comparing quest states within the mod that the old version was being set to quest stage 10 after the initial sex which starts the quest, but on the new version it was being set to stage 2. By putting "setstage 68876105 10" into the console I was able to advance the quest. However, after that the quest stage would not advance any further and keep looping the "second sex" dialogue option.

Try letting the previous dialogue line, "I'm glad you know how to treat your wife" finish on it's own instead of clicking to skip it, I noticed sometimes that clicking through the dialogue would cause that next dialogue option to get lost somehow

Try letting the previous dialogue line, "I'm glad you know how to treat your wife" finish on it's own instead of clicking to skip it, I noticed sometimes that clicking through the dialogue would cause that next dialogue option to get lost somehow

No luck, the option still doesn't appear

To be clear, you should set the relationship to something other than "PC is cuckold", break up, then set the relationship back to "PC is cuckold", and then remarry.

Where exactly is it failing? The first sex request is actually coming from the normal marriage quest dialogue: ("Let's make love"). If your relationship type is "PC is cuckold" you should get the response: "All right. Let's see if you can please your wife/husband." Then you get the normal sex request choice to "do it here" or somewhere more private. That should start a Sexlab scene. Behind the scenes, that also starts the cuckold quest and sets the stage to 2.

 

Then there's code that detects the end of the PC sex event at stage 2. That code advances the stage to 5, which triggers a spouse force greet ("You're going to have to work harder to satisfy your wife/husband"). The end of that dialogue sets the cuckold quest stage to 10. From then on, the sex requests are handled by the cuckold quest, and the next sex request is available at stage 10. 

 

Where exactly are you getting stuck?

Actually, I think I found the problem. I'll need to test the fix, but in the meantime you can try to reset the cuckold quest manually with the following console command:

 

resetquest SLSF_Comments_CuckoldPC

Well, without making any modifications, I tested running through a couple of stages of the cuckold quest on my setup, then breaking up, and remarrying. It worked fine to reset the cuckold quest. I went back to the first sex request, which again started up the cuckold quest at stage 2, and then it advances fine.  So, it's working on my end, which makes this hard to troubleshoot. Let me know if you have any luck with the resetquest command. 

 

And, you can use the following console command to see exactly what stage the cuckold quest is at at any given time: player.sqs SLSF_Comments_CuckoldPC

 

Knowing the relevant quest stage is very helpful to troubleshooting.

Your mods are very tight and usually very few bugs. What I have noticed is people who tend to hurry dialog along seem to have the most issues with you mods, for that matter they do with many dialog based quests, but alas stranger things may happen.

 

I've not played through the Cuck quests, not my thing but I will say it's likely important to know how'd the PC/Spouse got married? If it were through the vanilla quest it may take a few console commands to get divorced - I forget how to do it, but I had done so done so many years ago. 

 

If I were to trouble shoot this as a last ditch effort... I'd:

 

  1. Make a save.
  2. Change the relationship to something else beside "PC is cuckold" in the McM 
  3. Make a save
  4. Quit the game - reload the save
  5. break up!
  • like I said if the PC got married via basic game quest you may have to undo that. You'd have to remove the PC and Spouse relationships bumping them down to just friends/follower and then "ResetQuest RelationshipMarriage".
  1. I'm not sure if they'd have to "ResetQuest SLSF_Comments_Marriage" likely do.
  2. "ResetQuest SLSF_CuckoldPC"
  3.  Make a save.
  4. Quit the game - reload the save
  5. Set  "PC is cuckold" in the McM 
  6. Pick the spouse and get married

The command worked like a charm, thank you. I also tried to go back into older saves and retry resetting the quest through that method but it didn't work.

Stage 2, using getstage I can see that the quest successfully progresses from stage 0 to 2 through the dialogue and sl scene, but from then on there are no further quest dialogue prompts or scenes. Using setstage to move the quest to stage 5 does nothing, and moving it to stage 10 does successfully have the quest show up in the journal and add a dialogue option for another sl scene, but after that scene the quest again does not progress and stays stuck at stage 10, continuing to provide the same dialogue.

If the stage is not advancing from 2 to 5, it means the mod is not able to detect the end of the PC-spouse Sexlab animation. Are you using Sexlab P+? There are reported issues with P+ detecting the end of sex events.
