Hello there,

 

it is my 1st playthrough with this mod. I don't get the regular marriage option (Mara amulet), is it because of this mod? I have another mod which would require the vanilla marriage to go through.

The follower events where they're stripping my character and tying her up only half work. She's stripped, but not bound. Or are they more flavor? I seem to remember an event with a hood and rope bindings, but that hasn't happened in ages - maybe not even this pt. All the tie her up events aren't supposed to have the hood, are they? 

This isn't the first pt it's happened, it just got a lot more noticeable with a follower framework and lots of followers. Keeping it to the top of my consciousness, as it were. Anyway, I'm attaching a papyrus log from after several 'strip and bind' events were taking place. Not game-breaking by any means, just something that;s off. Unless, of course, many of the comments are meant to be flavor and not actually bind the player.

I did not have that issue, but I think my PC married at the temple of Mara (to Serana btw) with the prior version installed? I equipped the amulet on the PC and she asked about it immediately.

I had a follower just strip bind and hood the PC last night just before stepping into the Bannered Mare.

Reloaded has a patch for this... but it blankets SLSF with it's values.

Are you getting vanilla Skryim idle comments from NPCs? If you bump into some NPCs do you get any comments?

This mod doesn't make any changes to the vanilla marriage system (or rely on it).

They should "bind" the PC, and the bindings should appear, but it is more for fun as the bindings can simply be unequipped. The mod uses bindings from ZaZ, which is one of the SLSF requirements. Do you have that installed? And, not all binding events have a hood.

Yep, and I've gotten the hood. Just not the bindings. Nor the animation, so my pc isn't even acting as if she's bound. I thought I remembered there were bindings, but I haven't seen them. No conflicts to speak of, a credits.txt file and 2 metal texture files. That's it. If the papyrus log didn't suggest anything to you then I'll just reinstall Zaz. If that works, great. If not, like I said it's not game-breaking.

 

On another event note, is there a way to slow down the pace of follower events? I have multiple followers and frequently the events start happening boom boom boom, one right after the other, follower A might not finish talking before the next follower starts. Makes for an interesting stroll down the streets of Windhelm, that's for sure. 🙃

Im playing female pc and, my follower died and I resurrected him. After that, there are no longer any options with other npcs. I selected Spouse is cuckold. Sometimes, there are ... is similing at you but nothing happens or follower forcegreets but initiates normal dialogue options.

It does look like a lot of ZaZ errors in the log, so I would try reinstalling. What version are you using?

In the next version, I plan to add comment frequency to the MCM of this mod, and make a separate comment frequency for followers. In other words, to stop using the SLSF comment frequency control in the SLSF MCM.  This will also ease integration with other fame platforms. I always test with one follower, so this issue wasn't apparent to me for a long time.

Can you break up with your spouse? If so, I would do that and remarry (using this mod).

That will help a lot, I usually have Serana or Tirwon alone in tow but sometimes do pick up another follower to keep them from getting bored.

Hmm, should probably set that npc as protected. Do you have a save prior before the follower died?

 

In any case resurrecting an npc can lead to issues later because it's much like a recycleactor which may lose  state of quest scripts, flag variables, etc...  is why many - but not all of base game npcs relied upon in main base quest are marked protected or essential and the protected flag removed when they're expendable.

There should be. If there isn't, it's the same issue. The mod lost track of the spouse when the spouse died, and they aren't in the "spouse alias" anymore. Given your problem, and per @eflat01 's suggestion, in the next version I'll make the spouse 'essential' -- as long as they are the spouse. The vanilla game does this all the time (making NPCs essential during quests so as not to break them). In the meantime, I don't have any suggestions except an old save.

How had you married them? Are they a custom follower?

I just checked and "I think we should end our marriage" or what ever the option's wording is - it's still  there.

Its probably because its a random npc, i had a mod for this i think its called marry anyone or something where it makes it where you can marry literally any npcs

Hey im having the same issue, the last stage for me is 70. Reading through the thread there seems to be others who got stuck in the same spot but i dont see a solution to it, i am not using sexlab P+. So is there some console command i can use to progress through this part of the quest? @Gristle

 

EDIT: Nvm broke up and restarted the questline and it worked this time.

Hmm, still does not seem like that should be some issue. See it's pretty easy to make someone marriable - it's a faction combination or combination if you want them to follow.

 

Been a while since I did this with console commands:

 

Here's the old console divorce I do not know if it will work here Target the  spouse:

wait 24 hours.

 

That should place the PC at the stage of being able to use an amulet of Mara to attract a new spouse.

 

I'm sure @Gristle can elaborate on what factions SLSF Comments is messing with.

The SLSFC marriage quest doesn't touch any of the vanilla factions. It just puts the NPC into a mod-added "spouse" alias. The mod does check to see if the NPC is married to the PC already, but that's only to adjust the dialogue to be appropriate. But it doesn't matter whether the NPC is already a vanilla spouse or not, or whether the NPC is "marriageable" or not. Either way, the mod can add them to the mod's "spouse" alias. (But they do have to like you.)
