Randomwower Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Hey, I gotta say that the mod is great, the children look a great deal better as a result of it (as in, not carbon copies of one another is an improvement in itself) However... The added race seems to make it impossible for me to go into the showracemenu or even create new characters without CTD's happening left and right, I am wondering if there is a chance there could be an NPC Only version made to alleviate the issue?
Indomidable Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 @Randomwower Well the best trick I've seen to fix that particular problem is the precache killer http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33526/? mod... removes the old CTD on chargen, showracemenu typically caused by multiple hair, eye, eyebrow etc. type mods, fills up the cache and thus crashes it out. Particullarly when switching from male to female or race to race if able to switch to female. This does require SKSE so if not using that yet then it's recommended if you want to rid yourself of that problem...however I'd be astounded if you're not using skse for SkyUI alone...let alone all the other great mods that utilize it as well.

I haven't used Yune as a follower-- I'm not partial to that hairstyle; besides, I like Nila's "Teddy Shield." But, the last time I visited the Sleeping Giant, I was appalled to see that Yune had apparently been afflicted with progeria-- she suddenly had the face of a ninety-year old. If possible, I'd like to cure her. I don't have to see her often, but I feel sorry for her. I am also unclear on how the orphan in Whiterun changed races, and acquired a distinctly un-childlike visage. To make matters worse, she appears to be the doppelganger of another dark-skinned girl in Solitude (I think it was Solitude... I'm still not that good keeping some of these cities apart). I'd like to change her (Lucia?) back to her original race, face and hairstyle, if that's possible.

NPCs out in the wild (like bandits and forsworn skychildren) never have this problem and a skychild i create never has that problem. it happened ever since i got Dawnguard. frankly, sifting through 200 pages of out of date posts to troubleshoot what is going on has been a headache. with Jitek gone, you don't know the innerworkings of the mod and the "fixes" i found all involve manual work with a risk of breaking the Nord race (they appear to be tied.), it's like navigating a maze. until Jitek returns, i will either play with it as is or remove it later. (it also causes dark face issue with nord races.)

I am really excited for R3 to have more vanila armors work with the mod...I would also very much like to see more love for the boys since girls have new voice different textures and bagillion outfits and us boys only have like 2.Anyways jsut thought I would share my thoughts on this mod so far and hope for more good things to come.

(it also causes dark face issue with nord races.) This issue is most likely caused by a bad load order. Make sure that "xvisionchildren.esp" is loaded before "YChildren of the Sky.esp" in your mod load order. Also, you'd generally want those two mod files much lower in your load order (i.e. near the bottom). I'd recommend using BOSS to manage your load order: it's a masterlist that analyses what mods change/add and will set the load order for the least clashes between them. You can get it here. Another possible issue is that you aren't using the proper "xvisionchildren.esp" for what other mods you have installed. There are different versions that are required for if you have Hearthfire, or if you don't. Both options should have been included in whatever you downloaded it from. I hope this helps you two!

Jiitek hasnt logged in to LL since April 2nd, so no one knows if there will be an update. He sounded like he was very close to making one, with only some polish needed for the changes he had made. I hope he is okay and maybe just taking a break from Skyrim or something.
PlatinaKoki Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Ok, so, I have an issue. I don't know if this is solely the mod, or if its a combination of conflicting mods, but.... When I talk to NPC children, they seem to look "down" to me in 3rd person mode, like, their eyes divert towards my character's chest, even though my character is roughly the same height. I tried a re-install, as well as clearing out the entire Skyrim folder before re-installing, but that didn't seem to fix anything.

Little girls riding horses is the cutest thing ever. Enjoying the follower addon too. Read the first post. Sit height requires an animation hack to fix, which breaks every other race. If you don't care, it's included in the download in optional files. That's just for chairs and stuff. Horse sitting is a different thing.

Meng Yi Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 i have a issue with the first person view, it stay at the height of the normal skeleton, even if i had installed the one in the CotS archive or the one i've found two or three pages earlier. it's quite disturbing to have a character that is nearly the half of a npc height in third person view and nearly the same in first view. Can you help me ? Edit : i even tried the mod "The joy of Perspective" without any result Thanks a lot.
llamaa Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 The 1st person height adust option that was included with this mod works for me. It does cause an issue with eye contact as it says in it's description. The only thing I can think of is to try to install it again, and make sure it is installed in the correct location. If it still doesn't work, perhaps it is confilcting with another mod.
