Well according to EA, country living , farm , cars or a non expected other two extra packs or expansion packs comming at the end this year. Maybe September, November. people are hoping for a farming pack, or at least cars.
2cool4u_1 Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Maxis impressed me with this pack. I didn't think it was possible, but they really took their lackluster effort and creativity to a new low. My initial impressions: I saw no interesting CAS or Build items. The only thing it seems to have "going for it" is gameplay, which looks terrible and boring (more than usual), and Maxis always manages to fall short on implementing gameplay features. I'd like to take that recycling / shredder machine and recycle this pack into a good slightly decent one. I promised myself I'd get all the packs, but I'm going to have to really think about this one.

Remember city skilines, EA and sim city games said it was nothing, now city skilines destroyed sim city games forever. This person did more than EA team over years. I just installed a mod that replaces TS4 build and buy music with the music from TS1, and by god it's incredible remembering how much heart and soul went into that game. That was the real Maxis

They've earned so much of my respect because they are doing so so much, with so little. People, money, etc. But Paralives looks gorgeous and it's not even done yet! At this point, these EPs/SPs/GPs feel like cash grabs. Look, save the eco system even though we had that in other previously released games. This is not EP worthy, this is GP worthy. I don't even LIKE farming (unless my pixel dollies can dress up like cute little cows) but I'd much rather have had that then what they are giving to us. This will be an EP I wait and spend 10 bucks on when they have a sale.

No really, this game lacks so much compared to the previous parts but they decided that the most necessary game solution is to clean up the trash. No more strange mods like WW, KW, https://triplis.github.io/mods/sorcerer.html, http://modthesims.info/d/608357/candle-making-update-29th-april-2020.html, http://modthesims.info/d/631669/functional-solar-panels-and-water-heater.html etc. which may break the game and which must be re-done by EA and added to a GP or EP to make money. I'm sure that I will enjoy TS5 the same way as Sims for Android and delete it after 10 minutes.

Gaming always change I remember when people believed call of duty will be forever best shooter, they abused people with ultra overpriced dlc , online pay, micropayments, weapon skin for money, more dlc, even more dlc. Pay for keep your stats on servers. And finally people get bored and a lot of new shooters games destroyed their empire. Sims are on free fall with EA. I am honestly seeing a disaster on sims 5. Maybe be online and you must pay to play every month and buy expansion and packs even micropayments for simoleons the In game money or for buy in game items. Remember EA is EA.

I think EA is doing a right with Tiny Houses and Eco-Lifestyle, at least trying to educate children with this. Even with other EPs/etc I like TS4 as it is and I am looking forward to play this EP - maybe I am not playing it the way it is supposed to be played, but who cares But, nevertheless I really hope for a future country life EP or what so ever Regarding The Sims 5 - I might do it the same way like I did with TS4 Just ignore it for the first year, just get a good impression of what it's like. At first I was "naah, TS4 looks stupid, I keep playing TS3" but after nearly a year I was like "well, TS4 doesn't look that bad at all" And here I am, playing TS4 all the f-ing time and I can't stop

I refuse to pay to play beyond buying it or playing in an online environment with all kinds of other people. I play games for MY enjoyment. And I never thought Call of duty was all that great, so I'm glad I never wasted the money beyond buying one used copy for xbox. ?

In the meantime, a lot of the stuff in the Eco-Lifestyle pack looks like it will adapt readily to a post-apocalypse game. That fabricator looks like it will go well in a Mad Scientist's lab.

I played that up until Saints Row 3 and those had gotten ridiculous as well. I still play 2 from time to time, otherwise I mainly play the Sims. I've stopped playing games any more because most of them are just retarded anymore. Ridiculously hard or what you have to pay for them or pay to play. I thought World of Warcraft looked neat, but no way am I going to pay for the game and expansions and that. Then pay monthly to play it. Consoles are like you said, you don't get a game anymore. Yeah, sims 3 got weird when it started making you take out ep and sp because you had too many and it slowed the game. What kind of shit is that? I bought all of those because it was what I wanted. The way I look at it with sims 4 is I buy packs that have what I want. I have all the gps because of build and buy shit, not necessarily gameplay. Like get famous. I could care less about the gameplay side of it but I wanted some of the stuff that came with it. This eco has nothing I really want other than the solar panels, but I found those from a mod someone linked to. I see it this way, if there is something I don't want, I just don't buy it. Greed or providing bullshit to the masses is what seems to drive the markets. I damn sure didn't vote for knitting and I don't care about werewolves, but why bitch about it? I just won't buy it and I'll wait for something I do want. I would love to have cars again or open worlds, but I doubt we'll get that back. Sorry, that was more ranting than I meant for it to be. ?
