Animal Mansion 4??? (Dev Thread)

hello someone else had the problem that none of the followers can enter the animal mation and this is a problem because I can't put the dogs in the basement

I'm back. I'll catch up with a few posts that I know happened later, but I didn't want to look until I got my portfolio done to a good enough state. Just in time for the holiday non-hiring season ?

 

By which I mean I'm getting back into modding this thing.

i literally just uninstall the animal mansion plus and start a new game after this news ?

I have just gotten to the part in AMP where the shaman is female and wont do anything, so... looking forward to having this soon ;D

Been replaying AMP recently, and I have found that side quests (private shows) often too boring to do since clients have only two options in mind: they have sex with creature or PC have sex and they watch. Since the side quest was meant to give player something to do in between main quest, I think they deserve more "variance" so to speak. 

Here's one of my idea. During each private show, there will be a small amout of chance (configurable via MCM?) that client "fall in love with" that creature, and ask if they were able to purchase it to keep as their pet. Of course Thaena won't allow it since those creatures technically belong to her. Thus, a new mini quest will pop in, that player tell client where to find certain creature and/or volunteering to help the client acquire one of their own. After that the quest can have multiple outcomes, like if it's a sabrecat, and player do not have enough skill to tame the beast, they will fail, thus leading to consequences (client got killed, or ended up half dead in the wild, got snatch into a slave market (simple slavery integration), etc).

Also will there be chances that AM4 compatible with SL Survival? I can think of some aspect of how these two mod work together. For example the cum addiction system and the kannel.

A few suggestions for the mansion, if I may:

 

* Maybe some occasional freebie shows, where everyone watches and gets an idea what to expect. (The idea came after my "too aroused" PCgot jumped in by Bailey right there in the common area and none of the guests reacted to it.)

* After more than one animal has been gathered, have the player ask the guest which one they would like to interact with. (The original mod had a tendency to favor dogs and wolves for some reason). And guests seemed not react differently to creatures like trolls and the chaurus, which I would believe would be shocking to see.

* Not sure if there are plans for some or all guests to vacate the mansion during certain hours. I know they were all made up, but one would imagine they have their own lives to handle instead of being some sort of "permanent residents" of the inn.

I think it requires total overhaul of the mansion interior and NPC ai, since not just guests but also Thaena live as mindless toola for quests. Hell they don't even have place to rest.

The mod author was last on the site 3 days ago, just because an author doesn't post doesn't mean they aren't working on a mod they offer up for free for us.

At last notification major changes are happening with the mod so you just need to learn to be patient or if you can't do that start modding and post your mods so when you don't respond for a bit people can say " aaaaand they gone again ?" about you.

I agree, if a mod author didnt do a single thing with a mod for 1.5-2 year by now and only report back every 4 months to write "give me ideas i wont read btw, but at least this can keep you busy for the next 4th month checkup" its not because the mod is abandoned  +the "aaaaand they gone again ?" is trully about you. *sarcasm off* ?

Ah, the early access issue. You feel like you are entitled to updates because they released a preview version once.

So whats the direction of development at this point? I know you backed up on alot of your story plans. Where has the direction gone after that? Hope all is well!

Hi, enjoying starting this mod again after a break and glad it has updated. Trouble is I have reached the part where Thaena asks me to come back in the morning before the grand opening and I only get some chat dialogue about how she met and raised Bailey but the quest never progresses. Returned in the morning the next day and the next but still the same dialogue choices. Im really hoping someone has a console command/or suggestion apart from uninstall it and reinstall to make it work again

i have a issue where  i can't go anywhere close to the mansion or falkreath because game just crashes, i have all the required mods and no mods that change the area in any way that should matter
any idea what might be the problem?

I've had that issue in the past sadly can't remember how I fixed it but fairly certain it was conflicting with a mod that alters falkreath

i managed to fix this by just using xedit to change all conflicting height from other mods to skyrim default, unfortunately now my sexlab mcm menu breaks when animal mansion is loaded, so i still can't use it
