The plugin limit for .esm + .esp is 253.  Anything over that needs to either me esp-fe (an .esp that is "flagged" as an esl) or a .esl plugin.  In vortex's parlance these are "light" plugins.  With MO2, the esl flagged plugins show in italics.

For adult mods, the mod load order is depicted in the guide for MO2 users.  And it's generally the same for Vortex as well, just make sure your rules for UAP have animations packs loading before, and nsfw soundpack loading after.

 

As for reverting, just use DCU from Moddingham to clean the data folder from anything non-vanilla.  But you should follow that up with verifying files in Steam, and making sure F4SE is reinstalled if you had it in there manually.  if you do that, you won't need to reinstall the game.

ok am in here and need a clarification on number 5 the " Buffout 4" one, once i head to the "how to install buffout 4" part lower on the page the 2 links offer different versions buffout 4 and buffout 4 NG and am getting mixed signals... do i need to get buffout 4 AND THEN buffout 4 NG? because in vortex the two conflict with each other which do i overwrite? or buffout 4 NG is not needed but a mistake on links?

If I recall right, NG is the current fork; the original Buffout is no longer developed/supported, the NG version is. So you only install one of the two. NG works fine for me, anything that says "Buffout 4" as requirement has swallowed NG without backtalk^^.

Is it possible to replace the sounds files in UAP (all the folders that start with "femaleplayer"), so that you can use different moan sounds then the ones provided? And then do the same with NSFW soundpack, that way all player sounds will be the same. NSFW soundpack only has sound>fx, might be easier to leave for now, for me, tbh.

 

I'm not using custom moans because read somewhere it's not needed, if you're not using hardship/Staged Leito Plus, would be wasting a slot. Plus it looks like it would take ages editing all the xml files in notepad to get custom moans to work, and I still haven't started a proper playthrough ??

I have an issue where I CTD When loading certain saves but not others, the saves that crash include exit saves, exiting doors, some interior and exterior saves im not sure wheats causing it but its a real hindrance to progress here is my load order if it helps.

 

Edit: just barely loads in then crashes.

Hopefully Buffout is giving you a crash log for this which you can with CLAS (Crash Log Auto Scanner) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/56255

 

A mod list isn't really going to help in this case.  I don't see anything glaring when I skimmed it just now so it's a good idea to start with logs and the scan info.  It has a google doc in it, and you can get more info on your crash and remediation tactics.

I figured out witch mod is the root problem, better locational damage is causing a crash when loading a save where i just came through a door into the commonwealth.

That mod shows up on our Skip list with this note, maybe moving the plugin to highest priority would help?

See the mods listed in the Quests section of this very guide (including my new Milking Human Kindness mod which is specifically focused on being taken captive by super mutants). Another relatively simple one I like which isn't listed there but is close to your description is DLYH where you're an escaped slave but have to find someone to help you remove your bomb collar before it kills you.

Strangely, even though I installed the aaf series according to this manual, the KinkySexTheme still doesn't work. Atomic lust mods can successfully play animations, but KinkySexTheme doesn't. Could this problem be caused by using Lupine and Amelia race mods? I used the Furry Furry Races Overhaul mod, and before installing the Atomic Lust animation package, I only use KinkySexTheme, But that mod keeps showing errors, I use MOD organizer2

Yeah It was lowest priority still caused crashes im just gonna leave it disabled for now since something else in the NSFW separator is causing something similar.

The "Themes" mod does not contain any animations so as long as it is installed and you don't get an indication that themes is missing when starting a new game, it's probably fine.

 

Generally if you want to use mods that introduce new races, playable races, etc, then that mod would need to come with a patch or have a patch created by someone in order to use it with AAF.

 

If you are seeing errors then you may want to screen shot them and join the AAF discord for further troubleshooting.

I always thought Vanilla sex animations was an animation package, and I used a translation software to translate it to the download page. The translation software said that Vanilla sex and Kinkysex were merged together, and I thought that mod came with animations

Nearing the 255 limit as well, so I'd also like to know if I can safely flag esl all the straight up chem bench clothing mods, since -as you can see- those make up a good chunk of my load order. Googled for examples for a couple hours, could only find very general guidelines as to what is safe to flag and what isn't so ole semi-Luddite me would rather play safe and ask the veterans here before I mess something up I should have kept my paws off.

Nearing the 255 limit as well, so I'd also like to know if I can safely flag esl all the straight up chem bench clothing mods, since -as you can see- those make up a good chunk of my load order. Googled for examples for a couple hours, could only find very general guidelines as to what is safe to flag and what isn't so ole semi-Luddite me would rather play safe and ask the veterans here before I mess something up I should have kept my paws off.

Any plugins that only add new form IDs within the allowed range for light masters (or have no new forms of their own whatsoever) can usually be trivially flagged ESL. If you're using Vortex, there's a filter drop-down in the plugins view where you can get it to list any plugins that could trivially be flagged light and aren't yet, plus a button off in one of the right-hand columns you can use to make them light. Note that the next time you deploy, it will warn you that you have externally changed files and will list the plugins you flagged with it, so make sure to accept those changes by leaving them at the default of "use newer file." I don't know if MO2 has a similar feature, but wouldn't be surprised to hear that it does.

 

I would avoid compacting or merging plugins without being absolutely sure that there are no external references to the forms that will get renumbered when doing so (idle forms in AAF configs, various forms in RobCo Patcher configs, soft integration form loading in Papyrus scripts from various mods, etc).

Please assist me. I'm experiencing problems with LooksMenu version 1.6.18 in my game. It's causing a total crash to desktop (CTD) 100% of the time while loading the game.

Version 1.6.20 seems to work fine gameplay-wise, but there's an issue: the male character model does not get an erection.

Additionally, I came across the following post. It seems to discuss the issues with version 1.6.20. Can someone confirm?

If you're using Buffout 4 or Buffout 4 NG, make sure you don't enable the F4EE fixes in its config if you're using LM 1.6.18, since those are specifically built for 1.6.20 according to its documentation. Similarly, if you're using Immersive Nail Polish, don't enable its included LooksMenu patch with 1.6.18 as that also says it was made for 1.6.20. Further, avoid trying to remove your clothes while in the LooksMenu interface with 1.6.18 as that will cause an immediate crash (which is fixed in 1.6.20).

What other animations besides atomic lust animation support M/M?

 

If you want M+M then you have to use the Ultimate AAF Patch (also referred to here as UAP) because that patch adds many M+M xml files which allows that pairing with those animation mods.  If you go through the guide on page 1, you will see all of the animation packs listed, in the animation packs section of the requirements.  I suggest reading all of those animation packs description to get more info.  Generally the human animation pack mods are Leito, BP70, SavageCabbage, Crazy, 50 Shades, Snapdragon and the new Roh'Zima.

Thank you for the advice. It was very helpful. Indeed, it was an issue with Buffout4 NG. Modifying the configuration file alone didn't fix it, but a reinstallation did get it running. Erections generally don't pose any problems. However, when I activate animations from AAF (using the Home key) and switch using the PageDown key, it occasionally doesn't function correctly. Is this a common issue?
