Under "Not compatible" the post says ...

3BBB if using CBBE [Requires Skeletal Adjustments for CBBE, and thus, it's incompatible. READ NOTE ABOUT THIS, BELOW IN POINT #5]

... only there is no "POINT #5" anywhere. It only says ...

(If you insist on using CBBE/3BBB+CBBE KneeFix, use DFS)

... but doesn't say HOW. Can anyone explain how to implement 3BBB with Nexus' "Skeletal Adjustments for CBBE - Knee Fix - Legs for Days - 3BBB" mod?
Like, what are all the things I need to install, what goes where, etc.?

Noted.

I don't know if you were the person I just helped in Discord, but the answer is this:
1. Install DFS

2. Install Knee Fix and choose DFS in the installer

That wasn't me, I can't seem to get in to the AAF Discord. One problem at a time :)

So that's really it? I keep seeing that DFS/Knee Fix is incompatible with ZaZ Extended Skeleton, but BodyTalk won't work without it ? Any tips there?

That's exactly why you need DFS, so you can load knee fix without interfering with ZeX,

If we look at the file paths for DFS, we can see that it has specific paths for females.  That means that it won't overwrite ZeX which is what males must have.

Ignore the text files that talk about putting files there, because the knee fix installer will do it for you.

Hello, I have a question. I'm trying to follow the guide to install sex mods.

I want to use CBBE instead of Fusion Girl because I have armor mods that are based on CBBE. Also I want to try 3BBB if possible.

On the guide, it says 3BBB is not compatible with the sex mods.

But it also says use DFS if you want to use 3BBB.

If I use DFS, can I install 3BBB ?

Skip/Scrap these mods/patches (INCOMPATIBILITIES)

  • 3BBB if using CBBE [Requires Skeletal Adjustments for CBBE, and thus, it's incompatible. READ NOTE ABOUT THIS, BELOW IN POINT 10ºa]

ZaZ-Extended-Skeleton (ZeX) v5 (REQUIRED) - (MAKE SURE THAT NOTHING IS OVERWRITING THIS)

10ºa CBBE v2.6.3 (If you insist on using CBBE/3BBB+CBBE KneeFix, use DFS)

That's quite literally what the questions/answers immediately before your post are about. Take a look and see if they address your need.

I'll repeat myself (seems that's something i do a lot these days).

Most CTDs are cause by an excess of UI related mods. The more shit you have messing with the UI, the more stressed the game becomes.

HUDFramework

AAF itself

DEF_UI

Pip-Pad

SimSettlements

Killtips & Hitsounds

Mods adding healthbars and shit

And many others.

The more of this shit you have installed, the more likely you are to CTD.

One other thing, if you want to avoid yourself a headache, avoid VIS/VIS-G like the plague. It is by far one of the most likely causes of CTD running along AAF we've seen so far.

I'm using AAF, FallUI, HUDFramework and have no CTD's, but I also use Buffout's 4 tweaked settings with Baka's Memory Patch.

Hello,

So the 3BBB Knee fix mod will install the 3BBB skeleton to the DFS female folders in the photo? Does that mean I don't have to move any skeleton files manually after installing Discrete Female Skeleton mod?

Thank you

Correct, you just install DFS, and then install knee fix, and during that install process you choose DFS and it uses the correct path.  You don't move anything manually in this way.

That's what Buffout 4's for (and you're quoting a comment from 2020)...

Buffout 4's memory manager should be used instead, and makes Baka Scrapheap (or whatever the name was) redundant, as they're both solving the same thing, in different ways (Buffout 4's in a more global, all-encompassing manner, rather than a workaround).

When I use Buffout's 4 memory manager my game hard freezes every 10 minutes, after turning it off and using Baka Scrapheap instead - it makes the game stable, so I just use what makes my game stable, who knows maybe somebody could try it if they have problems and it could work for them too. You can check comments on Nexus site of Buffout 4 and Baka's Patch, I'm not the only one..

What can I do, I have no sexsounds?!

If you need help with this I advise joining the AAF discord by following the link in the guide.

But you may want to go back through the requirements first.  Maybe you missed something or your load order is not correct.

In addition to what's already been mentioned, some of the animations just don't come with sounds, so try a bunch of different ones from different animation packs before you decide they're all silent. Also some of the patch mods come with options to silence "moans" so there's a chance you selected something like that during installation of one.

I remember reading this post way back when and figured it would be good to reference. For those who choose to use Buffout and Baka together and have it working, by all means, YOU DO YOU! This is NOT intended to throw any kind of shade to anyone. From the mouth of the author themselves, if you will

That's true.  I'd love to find a way to have Queen's "Bicycle Race" play during BP70's Lesbian Cycling animations (but I suppose the easy way would be to add it as an .xwm to the "Porno Music" mod and just use the little control panel to play it when that animation comes up :)

And now I'll have that final chorus of bicycle bells ringing in my head for the next several hours... thanks. ?

Mod authors aren't Gods, they can be wrong, if you can explain why for some of us using Buffout's 4 Memory Manager instead of Baka's ''workaround'' patch makes our games freeze every 10 minutes, would be cool. I just tried latest Buffout 4 with its default settings after removing Baka's patch, instant game freeze after 12 minutes of playing the game, with Buffout's 4 memory patch disabled and Baka's patch enabled - no freezes at all, I repeat - at all, go figure.

Believe me, I would prefer to just use one patch for memory limitations in this game, I guess there must be something else that affects it, like we all have different hardware/software combinations, OS, settings, mods etc.

You can see a lot of folks having the same thing happening in their games in comment section started by ''jereblalock''
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46340?tab=posts

That was actual fix for my game, as it was freezing for me for months until I found that post, now I can play without any problems, only thing I wish could be fixed is UAP randomly dropping FPS in AAF scenes from 60 to 20.

Edit: I think OS allocators memory patches are using different approach than Baka's patch, might explain why we all have different results.

Never said they were gods. Never said I could explain why a thing works for you and not for me or vice versa. Never said that your way is wrong, nor did I say it hasn't happened to anyone else who plays this game and uses mods. Just thought it was an interesting share. Like I said in the opening sentence:

"For those who choose to use Buffout and Baka together and have it working, by all means, YOU DO YOU! This is NOT intended to throw any kind of shade to anyone"

Whatever you have going for you that works, Perfect! I'm happy it's working for you

Hello, is any of these 3 vagina mods compatible with the sex mods in the list and the 3BBB physics and ZeX Extended Skeleton?

Does ZeX skeleton have enhanced vagina like these?

Thanks

Honestly?  just save yourself the hassle and use FusionGirl if you want more realistic sex animation.  And I say that as someone that recently switched away from FG as I'd rather have a larger selection of outfits with more reliable outfit bodyslides and not have to rely on conversions as I haven't had the time to learn Outfit Studio.

The 3d Pussy sliders mod I don't think I've ever seen before.  It's not in the guide.  Nothing stopping you from trying it if you are really stuck on staying with CBBE.

Animated fannies I have not heard many great things about.

The Butt Body mod, sounds familiar but I don't know anything about it working with animations.  It's not going to break anything if you try this stuff, but I'm doubtful it will do anything meaningful.

My armchair guess is that trying any of those is going to be somewhat of a waste of time.  But maybe someone has more knowledge about them.

The thing is, sure you might have a butthole slider but are the animations going to line up?  None of them were produced with this stuff in mind.  Next you'll have to learn how to edit all the xml files to make everything fit right.  You know what that will be?  A royal pain in the butthole slider.  ;)

Oh ya, and on top of that, if you are really wanting to use CBBE with 3b, your body is going to go invisible during sex if you have any item of clothing on that has not been converted to cbbe 3bbb.  So you don't even get the benefit of the CBBE outfit selection by picking that option.  FG already has 3b built in.

I am debugging my game consistently crashing when I start a new game *specifically when I interact with Shaun and get told to use the mobile* (If I wait, game never crashes, if I console Shaun, then it crashes within a few seconds before the voiceline for the Mobile even finishes).

If I use console commands to skip that step then the quest breaks, the gate guy never spawns to let me in, if I stand on platform, there is no platform, and I get stuck attempting to stand on it. Paired with other random-ish crashes basically shows me that even if I were to force myself through it that I would not want to because it would be unstable

I took out all the... degenerate classy mods and tried it again, no issues at all and game runs faster. So I think it's safe to say it is something I jacked up here. So I am reading instructions again and going to enable things one at a time and test until I figure out what's causing it.

Why exactly can't I use "C" when in the Looks Menu? It seems to work but I don't know if it just isn't immediately apparent and is causing my problem above. I had a preset in LooksMenu where I used C and then saved it, would that cause anything like that?

EDIT: I went backwards, piece by piece, didn't stop crashing until I removed AAF entirely, finally made it past Shaun's crib. I am just going to roll with that and figure it out another day. Maybe I can enable them in the save after making it past the vault sequence, though if I have to sacrifice stability I think I'll have to forego the roleplaying aspects of this

Make sure you have Buffout 4 installed properly, odds are it's something related to UI overload which that will just fix, but if it continues to crash then Buffout 4 should provide you with a crash-*.log file with the date and time of the CTD in the filename (should be in the same directory as your other F4SE logs). The crash logs can be a bit cryptic if you don't know what you're looking for, but there's also a tool to analyze those for common signatures of known issues as well.

Edit: Also, there are quite a few mods which don't work well in the early game period. While I wouldn't expect CTDs as a result, my preference is to just keep a simple save from an unmodded speed run of the initial scenes, saving just outside the Vault 111 exit. You can use the console to call the skill point distribution and LooksMenu interfaces back up when loading from that save with all your mods enabled normally.
