abinas Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I'm having a problem, I installed the newest version and now when reloading my save it says I have downgraded to an older version and resets my settings. I have clean saved, deleted it entirely and clean saved and even tried going back to the version I was using prior to the last version and it still says the same thing. even going ahead and saving after the warning results in it repeating when loading that save as well where is the info on the plugins being stored? other than that I can see no reason for this.

If you don't save, none of that stuff gets saved, and all the ESMs or ESPs that are new since the time the game you're loading was saved will be reinitialized. Clean save: 1. Unload ESMs and ESPs with FOMM. Toggle archive. 2. Start game, load a save, ignore warning. 3. Save the game. 4. Quit. 5. Enable ESMs and ESPs with FOMM. Toggle archive. 6. Toggle archive. 7. Start game, load the last save you made. 8. Save game. Any time you load the game from step 3 you'll get the messages. They won't appear when loading the save from step 8.

It is expected that it will act strangely the first time you load this new version, I should have said so. Hopefully after you save it will behave as usual.

Even though I did the whole clean save process, the moment I died and the automatic reload kicked in it said I was using the old version (which I wasn't, and that I should be warned) All my values were reverted too, so I had to change them again. This continued happening, even though I clearly followed all the steps in the clean save process. EDIT 2: Continues happening, don't know how to get around it. Any save game I previously had reverts to the old version no matter what I do (and reverts the vales back to default also) EDIT 3: Okay just realised I am having the same problem as Abinas (didn't read his post earlier) so I believe this must be because of the update.
cailic Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I've been having troubles with the mod for awhile. Combat rape doesn't happen. It did for a while, then I started having crashes after sex. I downloaded all the Sexout files and mods again to make sure they were all up to date. I then started a new game. Stalkers work fine, but still no combat rape. I have it set to the highest settings. This newest update, even after a clean save, keeps telling me first that I have downgraded the mod. Then a few seconds later, it tells me I have upgraded it. This happens ever time I load a saved game. I started a new game and as soon I'm done talking to the doc, those messages come up again. Your mod seems to be confused. Oh, but it is GREAT work. Thanks for sharing.
cailic Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Oh, The problem with the combat rape not working doesn't appear to be problem with your mod. The Rapers esp that I downloaded with Sexout gives me the same problem. I don't know what I did to get it to work before.
abinas Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 The only real problem with mine is the older version warning, but the combat rape seems to work perfectly for me, during the ghost town gunfight one of the powder gangers raped one of the hookers added by the pornstar mod. I was unable to rescue her before the creep shot her after his dirty deed

As for the blindfold, I can't even see how it is thx to the script, don't know how you see it to be sideway to start with. Edit: Ok I think I found the problem, switch the body part to eyeglasses should fix the problem.

Also, what purpose does the blindfold serve? As for the latest version, there is clearly a problem with it vis a vis it resetting the values, which is annoying because any time I die or reload its an orgy Armageddon all over again, which I'll admit is not all that bad now that I think of it

My guess by the script, is its probably used to blindfold the player to blackout.

I don't think it's a problem on Tryout's end since the vanilla rapers works just fine. Indeed, I've disabled it for the time being until its sorted and the legionaries finally began approaching me.

When I first installed all the sexout plugins it didn't work. Then I figured it was possibly triggered by knockowns. I messed around with the knockdown probabilty in a seperate esp. It seemed to work for a time until I did a full update of all the sexout files. I made it so the fiends can only do hand to hand combat, but they just knock me silly until I die. I am perplexed. I got it to work before, but I have no idea what I did. I am still using the esp I created, but still no combat rape. I am befuddeled and confused. And despite my best efferts, I still cann't spell.

[/quote'] You are going to absolutely hate my answer, I just know it, but you've spoilt the batter. It's not going to be easy, or even honestly possible, for anyone to help knowing you've tossed your own ESP into the mix. 1. Unload ALL sexout related mods and make a clean save. 2. Reenable. 3. Wait for them to init (give it 30-40 seconds without doing anything). 4. Adjust your MCM settings. Set the combat rape health thing low and the chance really high.(*) 5. Save so you don't have to do 3 and 4 again. 6. Test. All these plugins are buggy in one way or another, and even seemingly simple changes can have profound effects. The mods DO work, despite being buggy, without requiring every player to make their own custom ESPs, so something else is going on here. I always get confused about the health thing. I think it means you will not be raped if your health is below that amount, so set it very low, like 0 or 1.

Like if rTemp.GetIsCreature == 1 && rTemp.GetInFaction DogFaction == 0 But just guessing...
prkr_jmsn Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 If it evaluates to anything except 0 it counts as returning 'true' to that condition. 0 is zero, and null, and false for this wacky script language. =) I'm pretty sure the problem is in the faction check, but I am not sure why. rTemp is a reference pulled from another ESP file, when I PrintC the results it returns properly though. In this instance it is J.T. from the willow mod.

If you want to be pedantic and avoid errors though, I recommend something more like this: if (0 != rTemp.GetIsCreature) && (0 == rTemp.GetInFaction DogFaction) Putting constants to the left is old school C trick so if you accidentally typo a "=" (assign) when you meant "==" (compare), the compiler will throw an error. GECK scripts don't support assigning like that yet (with =), but they may in Skyrim and beyond it sounds like. Parens just make sure you aren't left at the mercy of whatever god awful boolean order of ops Bethsoft has put into this dodgy scripting language. The script will die on that line if rTemp isn't set/valid.
prkr_jmsn Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 Ah good tips! rTemp is definitely set, i was doing prints in the script and it returns fine, but as soon as it hits that check it stops doing anything. None of the prints after that show up, and the quest stops processing. It's quite difficult to debug it when it does nothing at all =)
