Can I load a save without .skse file?

Recently, I've deleted everything on my secondary hard disk, but unfortunatly I also deleted, by mistake, the backups of my Skyrim saves. (I've already tried with a Data Recovery Tool but the files are overwritten). I managed to recover my saves (with 300+ mods installed) from the Steam Cloud, but I just have the .ess files of my character. The question now is: I'm reinstalling every mod, because I made I clean reinstallation, will I be able to load my savegame just with the .ess files? I don't know exactly what does the .skse file contains... I don't mind if I lose MCM configuration... The save was the 5580, after years of playing... it would be bad to lose it.

P.S: Forgive me if I made any mistake, but I'm not a fluent english speaker.

But 254 esps are missing...

yea you can load and dont have the co.skse save BUT you will lose lot of data from your save, so it is not that good idea at all. Some mods do generate the info in them fast but some dont.

About you are missing esps. What modding tool did you use before?

As I understand it is that you have deleted your game, and reinstalled and used Steam cloud for your saves.

Dont you have any saves in your Document folder?

In short, you may have need for starting one new game.

Unfortunately not, Steam Cloud was my last resource, and now I just have .ess files. About the data, do you mean I will lose data of the mods or also of the game itself? (I mean like quest etc.) I mean, I don't mind if I'm losing stuff from the mods, but can I keep playing or the save will be bugged as hell?

Data in the save not the game it self.

There is one big risk that your save will bug out.

You cant play whit the save that dont have all those 254 esps.

I think you only can have specific problems with specific mods but 99% of the information is inside the ess file.

Only specific mods, like NiOverride and RaceMenu, store data directly inside the co-save.

Every mod that use PapyrusUtil or JContaines store their data inside the co-save.

You can lost some data in some mods but the main data are stored inside the ess file.

I make a fast test in my game. I rename the skse co-save and load my savegame whitout it. No problem.

Spoiler

My game load perfectly, i get some messages from SOS and SLSF but the game works.

I have all the MCM's of all the mods with the correct configuration, all my quest have exactly the same status.

Aparently, my mods works. I lost the sexlab experience because is stored with PapyrusUtil in the co-save.

I lost the applied tats from SlaveTats because use JContaines.

I think i can lost the data about PAHE but all my slaves show in the MCM with correct data.

My skse co-save drop from 7mb to 183 kb but seems the game works.

As i say, specific problems in specfic mods that seems not severe.

I make the test with my actual savegame with one year of history having exacly the same mod list.

Of course, your exact result can depend of your exact mod list and the stability of your game.

Have in mind that i only make a fast small test. I not verified if really my game works correctly.

But i go to contine my game from this point and, in some days, i go to report any problem.
