I can answer these:

1. Ivy does not use vanilla affinity, so that command will always return 0 She's falling in love with you? you're getting close to max with her

2. With or without companion makes no difference to the Nuka World entrance quest, so no, Ivy's presence doesn't matter.

Thank You  for that and I have solved the mag problem. Ivy wanted wooden racks not the wire metal ones I have always used

I was concerned about Ivy's affinity as I had to move, one by one, 15 power armor sets(never use them  I just collect them) in and out of Neon Flats so not to lose them when I re-installed it and each time it said "Ivy hates that" which should cause a marked affinity drop. However, I just had to do "Into the Deep" so I must have been close to 60 affinity before I replaced Neon Flats or her saying that means nothing.

While I am certain that most of you are sick of my posts I have found a minor bug with the Lovers embrace patch for Ivy: I am allowing Ivy to teach the new Courser hooker slaves obedience. With the patch ticked in the subsequent animations, Ivy just stands there. With it unticked all is well. I will post this on the patch page.

So, I CANNOT add Heather or "Valkyrie" to the Ivy/Ada current pairing. Pity! But you are the expert on RAM.

Heather uses her own follower system. I play with Ivy myself.

Looking for a little support. I have decided to use Ivy for this playthrough but I seem to have run into a glitch.  It's to do with hypercombat.  I found the holotape, did the decryption, but nothing seems to make Ivy use hyper combat, she insists on using her pistol.  Not sure what to do or how to troubleshoot this one as it's never happened before.  Not sure if I am missing something or if I am corrupted some how. It's been a while since I used the mod, so I may be misremembering. But isn't she supposed to begin hypercombat once the update is applied?

- Upgrading the BLOODY MESS perk will affect Ivy's HyperCombat to become more bloody.
- Upgrading the SCIENCE! and ROBOTIC EXPERT perks will allow players to upgrade her attack frequency.
Access the configuration menu for HyperCombat once the perks are unlocked.

For a pure 'Ivy' build it is encouraged to invest early into these perks and to upgrade them both to level 2 perks as soon as possible. Once all upgrades are fully unlocked, Ivy is an unstoppable killing machine, even deadlier than most players!

Below is the upgrade chart:

No Perks - 10% Chance with each enemy encounter that Ivy will use HyperCombat
Sc 1 + RE 1: 30% Chance
Sc 2 + RE 2: 70% Chance
Sc 3 + RE 3: 100% Chance

HYPERCOMBAT WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY BE UPGRADED!
After receiving the perks, go into the HyperCombat configuration menu to upgrade her abilities at will!

Is that done from the controller holotape? Where is this configuration menu?  I do have it set to always, I have hypercombat enabled as well as all of the attack options. But I don't see where to actually upgrade? Unless you mean when I found the decryption key and went back into the holotape I found in Concord?  I think it is working now, I have to pay attention in my combats to verify; but there were two situations where she teleported away and came back covered in blood.  I ran to where she teleported and there was a blown up raider in pieces. This seems like it is working as attended.

Thank you: a really useful reply WRT Ivy.

Question: IF you char is already max'd in all before you meet her, is it then automatic or is adjustment still required?

As a favour And it is I who really owe you not VV, could you answer the questions above about new body need/prostitution and affinity? NPs if I ask too much as it seems Reginald cannot answer them. I collect power armor but never use it as deprivation beats destruction( have used only ONE fusion core on all collected suits now it i s down to 11 power but still gets the suits to my nearest home ) F76 turned me totally off power armor not that I was ever keen.

Using PA won't affect her affinity. She just hate it

I never built "Ivy build" but I'm using Reginald's "Teacher and Student" mod for Scientist build for SS and never ever tweaked HC because it satisfies me as it is. So wait for author's reply ;)

I'll just say Overkill is worth it :))

Seems like you fogot to run holotape second time then. You run it in sewers ('ll bet everyone runs it in sewers :) ) and second time - after obtaining decription key. (tho you can just rerun it in sewers again :P  and complete hypecombat, but I wouldn't advise it)

She's working now.  No, I ran it the second time, that's what triggers her porting in and out a series of times right? I did it off course the first time after finding it in the sewer. Pulled it up again once I looted the facility and found all the notes, the key, the ring, etc. And then ran it. Like I said she ported in and out several times. I got an upgrade complete thing, had to accept her EULA a second time.  I think my problem was I was attacking the wrong enemies.  I noticed in Reg's documentation she only does it on humanoid types. So we went on a spree looking for raiders and she worked fine. Thanks for all the help and info.

My char has searched every cc of the Crater of Atom and there is no sign of a backup secondary

processor. Any clues?

Is the quest for it active? If not.. wait until it kicks off.

The quest is active the marker is on the Crater of Atom but it simply is not there and I searched every cc and every pocket while brother Ofden does not sell it.

The marker never moved from the  Crater, I had consoled it in frustration, BUT I went back to a save and found it in the parking garage. At Last!

no because you are a bad boy. she needs to love you first. and if so, maybe.

A sex robot engaged in prostitution won't sleep with you because it has to fall in love with you first. Makes perfect sense, of course, it's very logical! ))))))

It's a common problem—maybe not for everyone, but for many. I had the same issue: the quest marker is in the crater, but the processor is in the parking lot.

If it'll save anyone else from trying, I can say without a doubt that using AFT, AFT Plus, and the AFT Plus Ivy patch doesn't work, lol. The radio station wouldn't even play to advance the introductory quest. I did read the part on the modpage that says AFT won't work, but I figured why not give the patch a shot anyway.

I am so confused.. Does XDI now work with Ivy 6.1, or should I uninstall XDI?

All I know is that I'm running Ivy 6.1 with XDI and the Ivy patch for XDI and it's working fine on my install.

Don't need the XDI patch.

Oh, really? Damn I just installed it after getting the popup. Is it safe to leave active?

BTW; this is my first time playing with Ivy and I just gotta say thank you for making such a fun and unique companion. She's made me laugh out loud more than a few times already and we haven't made it past Concord yet. I thought I'd miss having more than one at a time but I'm looking forward to playing with just her.

why does the download take you to google drive and why did it bork my game?

It takes you to Google Drive because that's where the file is hosted. As for why your game is booked, that's not a question we can answer. What a bunch of us can say is that we downloaded the same file from the same Google Drive and it didn't bork our games.

This is called psychological manipulation (or trolling). "YOUR mod bork my game. I don't have any proofs and I don't give a twelve sh*ts, but YOUR mod is THE reason"

Put the mod in, and the game's borked. Simple as. Tell me how to get it to work. I played it before, but never downloaded from Google drive before. Perhaps someone hacked and modified the mod.

Yes, cum hoc ergo proctor hoc. But it was such a difficulty to fix, I want to know what happened and how to avoid that again. Sorry that pisses you off, but I'm not downloading anything that isn't on Loverlab unless I know why it's not on Loverslab again.

Did you start a new game, or just drop it in to an existing save?
Did you try to update Ivy without *completely* removing all old files first?

Ivy is not on LL because the mod author chose not to upload her to LL, just like he chose not to put her on Nexus. That is the only reason you need. I have a lot of mods in my games that are not available on either of those two platforms, and they work just fine. Where a mod author chooses to have their mod hosted is entirely up to them.

Ivy didn't bork your game - you either installed her files incorrectly, or something else in your modlist is causing a conflict

If you actually want help, you might want to attach your crash/papyrus logs, as well as a clear, detailed description of what is happening in your game.
