It does not work.   And a question regarding the selachii race, do you have any plans on putting them in New Vegas (By extension, Tale of Two Wastelands)?

I'd imagine that back-porting the race might be possible, but that would be more on Blaze, than myself.  Otherwise, the only way the race could be mentioned in at least New Vegas(which could extend to TTW), would be as part of a possible update to the Vulpine race, as the Vulpines are mentioned as part of the Project Helix that is a part of this mod's story. The author has expressed interest in the idea, and might include mentions of the Project, and the Selachii.  Also have a drafted blog entry that suggests something on a facility housing the Vulpines in the Mojave(or somewhere in the area, anyway), partially overseen by the then highest ranked Vulpine at the time, Major Davis Lawson(who likely has Enclave connections...).Â

I didn't make the patch myself nor have I ever tried it (or rolled a male character, for that matter) but depending on how it's built it may not be possible to use it without SharkPlayer.esp without extensive edits to the Nora Companion mod itself. I guess I can't 100% rule it out because you never know what could happen, but... let's say 99.99% certainty it won't happen. The only way the sharks are feasibly setting foot on the Mojave is through F4NV, if that's ever released.
Poldamer Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 Ok people I've found a huge incompatibility between this mod and a weapons mod. Â The conflict is with PWO or Pipe Weapons Overhaul mod found on Nexus. Â Basically when I put "sharkrace.esp" as last in the load order I'am unable to upgrade the pipe weapon the option is there, but it doesn't do anything than just wasting your materials. On the other hand PWO.esp (PipeRedux.esp) fucks up even harder when I put it as last. Basically the sharkrace.esp is overriden and there are no texture pressent on the character (player). Just stretched out default textures, shark textures gone and tail gone too, only the fins on head are present. If you want I can take a pic of how it looks like.

Either you are extremely wrong about it and it was something else causing your bug, or that mod has serious issues and edits records it sure as hell should not. Â All SharkPlayer.esp does is edit the base Player NPC data to change their race to Selachii, and same goes for the NPC spouses (Nate and Nora). That's it. The only way that mod would conflict is by somehow editing the exact same records, but the idea of a weapon mod having to make edits to the Player data is so stupid and logic-defying that I find it hard to believe that's the case.

Maybe quests where people ask you to dive down for lost heirlooms they (somehow) discovered were lost when indirect family members sunk alongside these boats during the war? And some boats have doors that lead inside of tilted "Captain's Quarters" that are basically air pockets with cots you can sleep on?

I guess those are mildly interesting ideas if anyone wants to add more stuff to do underwater (which checks out for Selachii, lol). I don't think I'd be doing it anytime soon (if ever), though; worldspace editing may not be particularly hard but it is tedious, I've never really dabbled with underwater stuff before, and precombines (and their propensity for breaking with the slightest worldspace edit are too much of a hassle to deal with. Â That being said, it's not something that'd be exclusive to Selachii, so someone else out there may be willing to work on it. TBH I'm surprised it hasn't been done already, seeing how water-heavy the FO4 worldspace is and how there's hints at Beth wanting to actually have stuff you could do there.
Jannes The Impala Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Unfortunately I have run into a snag, when I start a new game and it brings me to the looksmenu area, there are no textures, in fact, no body but some pink colours near where the neck is supposed to be. I'm not running any other race ESP so I'm a little stumped.
