So i downloaded the mod for the first time, and first of all i love it and it looks great. But i was wondering, i am either not seeing it, but in the screenshots there are stripes ? and some where the body has abs ? So i was wondering how to do that since it don't seem to work with the body i have.

That's from the "Shark Overlays Extension", and they need to be added in LooksMenu's "Body" tab while creating/editing your character.

That depends on the body mesh you use. That particular ab-heavy body shape was made using True Wasteland Body.

Ohh okay, i got it from nexus.. so i didn't know there was a overlay extension, that's my bad then.

And i tried it with Hardbody, question is if i did it right either, but thanks for the answer !

Whats this wet overlay? Looking amazing

Yea i use the wet effect too from the mod on the shark I wish to the same but you know even if couldn't get proper permission from that mod author that made the wet skin I think if you can't then just remake it from scratch for the shark and add it as a optional file

So in the screenshots it shows the different masks fitting properly, but in my game they all are still the standard mesh and clip through the head.  Am I missing something?

Most likely personal fixes and meshing of masks and helmets

Did you chose to install the Gear plugin when you installed the mod? Do you have it placed at the bottom of your load order? If you load any mod that edits the same vanilla records after the Gear plugin, it will overwrite its changes and restore the (ill-fitting) human meshes on the sharks.

Yes, fixes and mesh edits of masks and helmets I did myself (so I guess "personal"), but they are all included in the main mod download, this is just a load order issue.

So those gasmasks are edited? Doesn't saw them, are they from some other mod like PMC or GALAC-TAC?

The ones shown on the images from the download page are all refit vanilla items and they are included in the mod.

 

The ones seen in Sly's pics (which I assume is what you meant) are personal refits that are not available anywhere.

Are the 'Shark Overlays FO4'  containing the optional stripe overlays available in the download file from Nexus or only from the files found here on Lovers Lab (LL)? 

 

Currently i have downloaded the main files from Nexus using Vortex as the mod manager, failing to find the stripes in game though when searching for it through body -> overlays -> (Shark) Thin/Thick Stripes as mentioned in the description here on LL.

Right now they are only available as the extra download here. The next update will have them merged with the main mod (both here and on Nexus), but there's no ETA for it for the time being.

ok so i get that it says you need cbbe for this, but does fusion girl work for this race? After years of skyrim modding i finally decided to give fo4 modding another go, and fusion girl has a nice unique skeleton, and looks really nice.

Any body replacer that supports CBBE textures will work fine, and FG does support them, so that's a yes.

You have to download and install the separate "Shark Overlays" file and then add them in the "Overlays" section of LooksMenu's "Body" tab.

sorry if its a painful question but any news on if there is an NPC replacer yet?

I'll go and have a dig through the Vulpine Race NPC replacer to see how they did it.
reverse engineering is how i figure almost all of this stuff out anyway heh.

theres something magical about seeing that tail flutter around behind you as you jog about.

and a jaw full of razor shark fangs. praise to the fang gangs
i blame friends for my love of sharks  and ofc some of the really awesome stuff artists can do.

looks like the creator of that foxy npc replacer literally went though and manually swapped each npc and gave them the naked skin of that race. O.o

sounds like a job for a macro or Really patient person.

There is one on the main mod page for Cait. 

 

Otherwise, other NPCs and followers, are planned for the mod. You can take a look at one of my blogs(link in signature) to get some idea, if interested.

if its cool with you'd I'd like to try and help out with that. with permission of course
it seems changing the race and skin inside FO4EDIT does give them the fins and face skin but not the shark head.
had to get in there with the creation kit and manually swap it around

 

the skin defaults to pale white but setting a custom skin color seems to work

its been done a while i completely forgot to mention it here, but dont wanna make a new post to be like oh look at me.
i wont release it if the mod guys here dont want it. google "episode 1 Subject Sierra " if you wanna see it in action though.
even after all the changes some npc's have human skin makes them look like pigs oddly enough. ghouls/children uneffected all other humanraces changed
