And?

Sims 4 is out since sept / 02 / 2014, on online games like WoW, SWTOR, on same timeline players payed almost same amount of money (60 mounthes, 20€ for 2 mounthes registration, add DLCs + the vanilla game).

Also you're not forced to take the completness of Sims 4 content. So... If you choose what you really want, sims 4 is in fact way less expenssive than some other games.

@RDA thanks bud' your answer made my day. ?

If you think this is too much, look at Train Simulator on Steam. Game + all DLCs is around 4000€.

Joke aside, most people don't buy all the DLC. There is sales, and they are bought over an extended time period. So it's not 'that' much as long as you dont buy everything at once. Is EA milking players by selling shitting stuff pack targeted at a young audience ? Yes.

Pretty much. Just pick and choose what you want. I’ve got almost everything except a couple of stuff packs, but I staggered myself in buying them. I’d wait a couple of months after each release, watch a few Let’s Plays, and then decide if I wanted to buy it. If Origin is still having their sale you can get several of them EPs and GPs at a lower price.

And some may find out after they bought a certain pack they wished they had bought a different one, it happens.

Everybody is different, I hate Vampires, Pets, and Seasons, but some really love them.

Overall my favorite EP was/is still Get Together, nice big town, DJ's, and a new Club system, but as I said everybody's different.

Just got Realm of Magic & Strangerville on sale, only 25% off but wth.

I've seen the GP's and SP's at 50% off before but didn't want to wait this time.

Still have a couple SP's I want but holding off for half off sales on those.

Does anyone know if the 10% off you receive when you join Origin Access stack with sales? And if yes, are the 10% off from the original price or the sale price? That would potentially make a total discount of 60% (when combined with a 50% off deal) and worth subscribing for a month if you buy more than two EPs.

An Origin 50% sale may be around Xmas/NY. Stuff packs for $5 ($10) and gamepacks for $10 ($20) are usually the cheapest prices one can get. Currently -75% for Sims 4 Digital Deluxe is not bad also. $20 ($40) for EPs may be okay, but better buy from a key reseller/ebay.

It's -55% not -60%, so $18 instead of $40. Still a reseller may be cheaper for EPs!

At the moment one may buy Cats&Dogs ($40) for $10 and Vampires ($20) or Dine Out ($20) for $10 at ebay(.com).

"Sims 4 Bundle: Outdoor Retreat & Cool Kitchen Stuff" bundles starting from $10 are great deals while there are other totally overprized bundles.

You'll save a lot of money with Build a Bundle. IDK if you can stack BaB on top of sales, but I basically got half off 1 EP, GP and SP when they had the Haloween sale. I'm basically from now on only going to buy packs once they release enough so I can bundle them.

Was it really $25 for a custom bundle? I wasn't in the mood to buy back then ...

Now that I double think about it, the SP was full price, so just the GP and EP was half off. But that was 40 altogether. The GP is normally 20 and EP is 40, to together half off that's 30 and a 10 dollar pack is 40 altogether. So normally it's 70 with my deal 30 off. IDK if it's the same without a sale or not. Sorry if I cause confusion.

why does this thread even exist?
I mean... go to the origin store and start adding all the prices of the packs...

Let's assume one spends $12.50 (75%) for TS4 Digital Deluxe, $13 for each of the 8 expansion packs and $10 (50%) for the 8 game packs. With 15 stuff packs for $5 (50%) this would be $272. I hope this answers the question.

So it's not too expensive as long as one can wait some month before installing a new add-on and bought at the right time. By choosing some bundles (not the overpriced ones) one may spend even less. TS4 was available for free in March 19 and may be available again for free next year.

Yes, but it cost only 50$ if you dance wearing an animal costume (with glove) when you use your credit card on Origin to buy the game. :)

i think the guard would just punch me for doing that rather than let me buy it for 50$

Free SWTOR. limited access to end game content, limited access to pvp (if it's still existing). Limited xp when leveling a toon, limited cash in bank, 6 to 2 skill bars I played this game about 2 years (with sub) when I stopped paying Disney for this shit (I luv starwars universe but we've to be honest, disney just killed it), F2P just finished to disgust me.

And I'm perfectly calm. I just answered you. you're not forced to buy all the stuff. If you want all the stuff you'll have to pay. I agree that buy all the things in a row is a bit expensive but... Hey... It's your choise.

it was so disheartening once you reached level 20 for the first time and it letting you know that since you don't have a premium account you would get xp at a reduced rate :(

Take a look what you may like to have for your sims later at sooo many many Patreon or pay pages.

Eventually than you may get the idea Sims 4 by Origin is just a cheap beginning (50 % sales / bundles).

Some good news, many very nice stuff is for free.

instant-gaming is the way yo, u can save tons of money through that, but a lot of dlcs are missing now probably they will be replaced more verzionz in future O.O

i dont put the link cuz of afraid of mods thinking is spam

Yeah it's an insane price, especially for being an old game by now. Which is why it's one of the most pirated game in history. They should offer a monthly subscription that includes ALL of the DLC and packs and not just that idiotic deal via Origin. I hope when Sims 5 comes out that's what they'll offer...

As for paid custom content, it's illegal to sell your customized items and EA shuts down your site in no time, if you put your CC behind a pay wall, assuming someone reports it. Creating custom content should be a hobby, not a way to make income. Start making YT videos and you'll make money with Sims. Asking for donations is allowed by EA, however.
