Great series, even if it had some minor flaws - the author was often confused by the conflicting feedback on the difficulty. My view: He was using insta-enemies which simply appeared out of nowhere too often. For tank builts, that's not too much of a problem. For frail characters who need preparation, that makes a fight awfully hard. But I think he never got to finish the series, no? No it is finish the problem is that they are in French. The fifth one in the series just got release last year. No idea when the sixth is going to be translate

I think it's just the darkness spell. Sometimes it doesn't fire properly and you get to watch low-poly models have seizures. At least the superb rogue gameplay makes up it.

Definitely not true! I am working on an adult animation package as we speak. Coupled with Facial Animations, Collision Control and Animation Synching.. I think NWN2 will far surpass NWN1 ever could. I hope when I am finished - more people will jump back into this game. It allows you create very detailed story driven adventures.. we just need some sexy clothing, models and animations and the sky is the limit. Small Samples:

Unfortunatly gamespy has dropped nwn from their service so you have to know the IP of the server and connect directly. Sinfar is one of my favorites. There seems to be absolutely no way to sign up. It just keeps piling on bullshit about some secret code I'm supposed to have.

You can be the faithful husband and get cucked by your cheating whore of a wife because you just don't satisfy her, agree to be a wittol, or you can not turn her into a hotwife and have a happy 'relationship' ignoring all prostitutes, the live-in sex slave, a lesbian Imoen, and an incredibly persistent 19 year old. Regardless how you play it, you have strong voyeur and pantie stealing tendencies.

Those were some really fun days or nights of MMOs in NWN.. miss them!

I left when the community went nuclear on all the content creators. Seems like 3 lifetimes ago now. Funny thing is, we all used to complain about the totally stupid choices made for the toolset. If we'd only experienced the horror that is GECK/CK! Turns out, as bad as it was it was one of the best modding toolkits there was. It did ruin me for most RPGs though. Some of the best stuff I've ever played in my life were custom NWN mods. You just don't get that kind of attention to detail and plot in modern games. NWN itself included technically, as Bioware's stuff was quite bland to downright stupid depending on whom you talk to.

I can probably write a book on how much I hated it) but I never even bothered with the DA toolset. I've heard it was... quite bad though!
