hogsmaws Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 regarding the new FO 1st - $100/YR subscription service... I now firmly believe that Toad Howard has been replaced by a synth.

I play at the moment a MMORPG that costs in the month 26, 95 euro Premium! over 300 euros a year.

It doesnt have MMO content at all, not even half of it and its only a few players by servers... we are far from massively multiplayer. This game is crap from hair to toes. The people who pay for it, do not come crying when Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls 6 will be full of lootboxes, paid mods and month subscription. I wonder why Bethesda became so damn greedy tho... Its weird, they are even worse than EA now.

Its weird, they are even worse than EA now. you're right, it was a joke. the outrage over the behavior of Bethesda is also everywhere in Germany. here it is even the coronation, the euro is worth more than the dollar, here in Germany costs a private server even 15 euro in the month. for me personally Bethesda is bottom drawer!
Adviser69 Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 It's not so much a matter of greed as it is adopting a strategy for Zenimax to satisfy investors. Both parts of Bethesda keep getting flak for this whole debacle when most of that ire should really be directed at Zenimax and their Providence group investors.
Quest_Items Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 Yeah if they keep doing this they will lose more and more fans, and will not reach their expectations for money. Just like what happened to EA recently. They will lose fans and investors... So i dont know if they are doing the right strategy right now.
Kendo 2 Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 Criticizing Bethesda is disrespectful. https://falloutfirst.com/
saviliana Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 You people really forget that both Take2, EA and Zenimax were having the same investor: Trump's little brother. You want someone to blame? Blame him, he was the one that pushing the greed for everything he touches, first EA, then Take2, and now Zenimax.
Mr. Otaku Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 At this point i'm not even expecting Bugthesda to make any more decent games in the future. If they've made anything clear throughout the whole 76 debacle it's that they've lost all managerial abilities, both with the game and the company operations. Somebody i was talking to the other day mentioned that since 76 was a blatant cashgrab they didn't care much if this was a complete disaster and that they won't fuck up their flagship franchise TES, or Fallout 5 or their new IP Starfield the same way because there would be more on line, but i don't know. I still hope they don't fuck up TES6, but even if they do i won't be surprised and will be officially dropping Bugthesda for life. At that point i'd wish they were to just run the company to the ground and fade into obscurity.

Wolfsy Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 So here's the thing, Bethesda has no upcoming games, the saving grace of FO76 would be the new wastelanders dlc, and that got pushed. This year they released: wolfenstein, rage 2, TES: blades, and some ESO dlc's. the first three things I mentioned here did absolutely terrible. Most people did not seem to like the games and refunded it on steam, or not even buy it at all. And some eso dlc that also not too many people play, that's not gonna bring in any money. So in conclusion, Bethesda has a very bad year and the next upcoming game will be Doom, ...that got delayed, And does anyone even know when starfield will actually release? TES 6 also doesn't seem to be releasable anytime soon. So, no incoming money, and not that much incoming money planned for next year, this subscription thing seems to me like a desperate way to make some money. Which obvsly to everyone else is only making things way worse, ...especially since it doesn't even work and deleted peoples items ingame. So basically, Bethesda is fucked, and digs their grave deeper everytime they try to get out of it.
saviliana Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 I wonder how much do they price if they are going to sold the company as a package?
D_ManXX2 Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 Man i was wondering where to show this: Quote This game is so shit it does not even or ever will get a section here on loverlab.. They tried to mask their shitty game under a new name and called it Fallout 1st even though it is still their broken shit fallout 76. they hope some schmuck would fall for their scheme ripp out unsuspecting customers.. These types of handle should handled by order of law against company ripping off their customers.

As I write this I'm watching someone stream TOW and I'm not impressed with how simplistic the content actually is. It's better than 76, but it's not really up to par with Obsidian's past games like KotOR II and FONV. Not unless they had to cut content to make Take-Two's release schedule, which is par for the course with Obsidian. Bugthesda is whale hunting like every other game company that fell for the live service business model. A last-minute attempt to grab as much cash as they can before the law catches up to reality and forces them to move onto another scam. I'm actually praying the video games industry crashes so we can start over from scratch.

Thank God, that it was not like that in the old days! Today I do not buy anything anymore, I sit in my armchair and look at Let's Plays.
D_ManXX2 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 not really if the economy collapsed like it was 2008 is enough for people to stop spending money on things.. so gaming industry will be hit hard too and they are forced to release their games back to much lower price if they want to survive.

Currently, most developers are like that, little effort high profit!
D_ManXX2 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 it is to much you already paid 60 bugs and now you need another 100 a year that is a bit expensive also the game is total shit not worth the money. i rather pay something that is actually worth while. btw due to this mods are now behind paywall.

While not quite as bad as the '08 Crash, the US is poised for a recession thanks to those trade tariffs against China. Many households are poised to lose nearly $1,000 a year due to price increases for manufactured goods. It may not seem like that much if you break it down (~$90 a month) but it's enough to hurt "luxury" expenses like movies and video games as folks cut unnecessary costs. Also check out this video about the literal class warfare FO1st has caused. LL isn't letting me embed videos so I have to link it. I find it hilarious that Bugthesda didn't see this coming.

Kendo 2 Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Bethesda is the game corporation equivalent of 'peaked in high school', and Skyrim was their senior year.
