arc12 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 So I had to uninstall and reinstall both Skyrim and nmm, so I decided to take it easy and just load in some primary mods, about 55 all told instead of the 100+ I had previously. But now I'm getting CTD almost immediately, launching from both Steam and SKSE and I don't know what's doing it because both LOOT and FNIS are saying everything is fine. I don't know if I missed an update to something or what. I've attached a list of my mods, hopefully someone can point out what's going on and I can fix it.
Seijin8 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Run LOOT. Immediate CTDs can be missing master files.

After you've rerun LOOT as Seijin8 suggested you might want to rerun FNIS. Make sure you have the most recent version. There is a link in this post. I think you are likely over your animation limit and the newest version of FNIS can tell you if that is so.
arc12 Posted September 5, 2019 Author Posted September 5, 2019 I redid Loot and Fnis, all clear, still CTDs. Got rid of xp32 and kept xp32 extended, re-redid Loot and Fnis, all clear again, and still CTDs. Unsubscribed from all Steam Workshop mods, still CTDs. Re-re-redid Loot and Fnis, all clear once more, and, say it with me, CTDs. I am tryin here folks but it's just...I don't know what's happening.
nemocdt Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 remove xxl fnis and install standard version. fnis xxl can cause ctd's on start. Does Skse have admin privileges and installed properly?

And how often does this happen? (I know what Fore wrote on the Nexus page umpteen years ago). I and many others use XXL without any problems. Pound to a penny the problems aren't with XXL. The OP has dropped a bollock doing the re-install. Nor does he need the latest version. The 7.4.5. version works fine and the latest only gives you more info regarding possible problems.
Andy14 Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 NetImmerse Override is included in RaceMenu and can therefore be removed. I see SOS, but only the core esm. Where are the esp for SOS?
Zaflis Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Few steps you can do: - You had warnings in LOOT, what kind of and can you fix them? - Add CrashFixes, and set config file with a guide. - You don't need separate precache killer for RaceMenu, that's already included. - Add SafetyLoad. - Add Load Game CTD Fix. - Add PapyrusUtil. - Redo SKSE config file with a guide. (- Add ENBoost. It may help but this is somewhat optional. It does not mean playing with ENB shaders, just taking advantage of some extra speedups and fixes.)
arc12 Posted September 7, 2019 Author Posted September 7, 2019 Well, game runs without the mods, so we know it's the mods. Going down the list: @nemocdt As @Grey Cloud said, I'm pretty sure it's not FNIS XXL alone doing it, prior to all this it was running fine with it and about 100+ other mods/animations. Also I'm sure skse is installed properly and like FNIS XXL, it didn't need admin permission prior to this. @Andy14 I wasn't aware of that, I just installed it because one mod or another demanded I have it on there. I'll try removing it but I might get an error from Loot about it. As for SOS I just installed the one file that was suggested, it was a zip so I assume it's all packaged together. @Zaflis I'll get on that when I can, that's a lot of new shit to install. The warnings were just about "cleaning" some files or something like that (you'll notice that it also says 4 "dirty plugins"), I have no idea what that means and when I tried it a while back I got lost in the tutorial phase and gave up because I was afraid of breaking something but I guess that doesn't matter much now. As for the separate precache killer, I installed it when I was searching for fixes to the CTD via google because that seemed to be the fix everyone was suggesting. Again, wasn't aware it was in RaceMenu.
Andy14 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Schlongs of Skyrim must have at least 2 files in the loadorder. The esm and the esp. You only have the esm installed. In addition to these 2, there are 3 more esp - optional for more shapes. A complete installation of SoS will have 2-5 files in the load order. Netimmerse Override and PreCache Killer are included in RaceMenu and do not need to be installed separately. The 4 dirty plugins that Loot means are the Update.esm and the 3 DLC. This warning can be completely ignored. My advice: Do not install all mods at once, but step by step. Example for step 1: - Skse - SkyUI - Sexlab framework - Schlongs of Skyrim - ZAZ - Xpmse - USLEEP https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71214 - Alternative start Run FNIS for User. Start the Game. Create the Character, open MCM and install SoS. Open MCM and install Sexlab. Make a manual save. For this, open the console and enter for example: save setupstepone If everything works so far you can install more mods. Note, if you use ZAZ and Devious Devices, the hints in the mod description.
