I two tims try you're mod. I may use it when start female chracter.

but untile now, no. Because it's has some conflict's with XLV, second most stabel ero mod. But, last time was it's was v3, what had problem.

I voted for downguard. simple because like "downguard" word.

Since not every one have downguard, you can made two version of mod. yes, it's will take more time, but. Since you ask about this. You must be a rare case of a mod developer, who care about peoples who use you're mods.

A couple of people, like Kurorahk, already hit on this. But I think it's important to bring up more then a few times.

Bethesda made some serious changes with regard to players running the Dawnguard DLC. Almost every major mod out there had to, at the very least, put in a Dawnguard 'compatibility' patch or updated ESP. I sympathize with most vanilla people running without Dawnguard (I have no love for the over embellished vampire or werewolf crap). However, I think based on the poll results that they are a minority.

You don't want to cut them off. However, at the same time as this mod gets more complex you don't want the people who do happen to actually run Dawnguard come into issues because you're only looking at things from a vanilla coding prospective. I think at the end of the day your mod is going to have 'some' Dawnguard adjustments in it. Simply because you're going to be forced to do that so people can utilize it and the DLC at the same time. We also haven't even gotten to Dragonborn yet which will probably break a lot of mods, again, once it is released.

Either way the thrust of my comments is this: I don't care if it's a requirement, or if any resources are utilized from the DLC. However, I want to be able to run Dawnguard and SD at the same time.

No. I do have Dawnguard and it is not a bad dlc with many cool locations but I don't see how this mod should get better because of dawnguard. And on the other hand there are to many people who just don't own it.

Can't give any opinion because I don't know why would this mod needs Dawnguard. I don't have Dawnguard & currently not planning to get it anytime soon.

Care to explain why would it need Dawnguard & how will it improve the mod?

Because for now, I believe it should be perfected first, then expand to Dawnguard.

If the mod would greatly benefit from Dawnguard assets then sure. If it won't change anything, then don't worry about it. But if Dragonborn DLC has tentacles, then hell yes! You can never go wrong with tentacles.

Eventually many of the best mods in oblivion had DLC requirements, this was not in anyway done to exclude players but was simply because something the mod used required the DLC.

Right now players don't need Dawnguard for this mod so let this version of the mod serve as the Vanilla version. Keep it availible for them so they have have an option. Then make all NEW versions of the mod require it. This adds no extra work for you the modder and gives players who have dawnguard improvements without freezing out the non dawnguard owners.

Like many others I have no plans to get Dawnguard - from what I have seen and heard it has no appeal to me, and the fact that allegedly TES4Edit finds in excess of 800 dirty edits in it puts me off even more :@ It would be so very nice if Bethesda would make "Clean" dlc's for us :P

I say go ahead. If it makes an already impressive mod even better then I'm all up for it. Hell, I'd buy dawnguard just to continue using it, the actual dawngaurd part would be just a bonus!

I went with yes, (for use of existing resources in the DLC)

but I would also say if there is a way to make use of those without the expansion ...I'd say go with that (Or even just get people to record vox for you ...ala DIP)

..your call though

well it seems that other mods are goin dawnguard, mjanas lab for one. i dont have dawnguard...yet. never really intended on gettin it, mainly cause of all the problems i had with skyrim when it came out and affraid of there bein more with the xpac. still decidin on gettin it, but its your decision. good luck with it if you go that route.

Dawnguard adds more content, more possibilities. The limitation is the inability to exploit those additions for the sake of the mod.

Dawnguard does more than just add a perk tree for vamps and werewolves.

as soon as i heard vampire cattle my ears perked up and i have to say yes, and then yes to dragonborn when it comes up just for the wonders of tentacles and heck yes to hearthfire for when slaves are used as human mannequins.. (yes, i admit, i'm a pervert ) really yes to anything that gives you the resources you feel you need to continue expanding this amazing mod, and even if you don't want to go through all the work of really making two mods at the same time to try to please everyone couldn't you leave the pre dawnguard one up for download too? it might not be updated but at least it's there for those that don't want to, or can't get the dlc's

just my two or maybe three cents

I have Dawnguard, and I'm pretty sure DG vamps break the mod's vamp interactions. That said, if I DIDN'T have DG, I'd be really disappointed not to be able to enjoy your work.  The big ol' freak in my head is all about options and preferences.

On the other hand... maybe you could convert the vamps, and let that facet of the mod be DG-dependant, without breaking the rest of the mod for players who lack DG? Or hey... how about a DG-compatability patch? Or- thinking outside the box... how about DG mod, with a Just-for-vanilla patch, for those who refuse to buy it? Wonder if that'd even be possible....

I have all the DLCs, go for it.

Also tentacles from Dragonborn, just sayin'.

I am running my current game with Dawnguard but was planning to start my next one without it figuring I could add it later at the moment I'd prefer it to start.  At this time though I don't load and run SD except to play with it so I could always enable Dawnguard at the same time.

Count me as neutral.
