To add a custom race (because now you can do that with this mod):

  1. Create a patch mod that masters the custom race mod to RSE_II_RandomShenanigans.esp
  2. Add new race conditions to the RSEII_Mod_RS_Alias Reference Aliases called NPCOne and NPCTwo.
  3. That condition should be GetIsRace == {your custom race} == 1.00, as an OR condition. Just follow what I've done in there - you'll be fine.
  4. Just make sure your custom race check is ABOVE the last of my race check conditions as that one is the AND condition (meaning the end of the race list).
  5. Go to the RSEII_Mod_RS_Main quest and look at the script properties for RACES called AllowableRaces.
  6. Simply add your custom race to that list.
  7. Save your new patch mod.
  8. Play the game with your custom race now allowable within the Random Shenanigans going on around you.

Could I just edit RSII_RSMain directly?  Then don't need to do step 1 and 2.

But I not sure how to do step 3 and 4.

Where to insert the code in step 3? Maybe in mod init function?

Where is race check conditions list in step 4? I didn't found any function about check.

I just understand step 5 and 6 to add Race Property [CustomRaceName] auto in RSII_RSMain Group Races.

It seems to me that Random Shenanigans (RS) hangs whenever one of its scenes is interrupted (e.g. death or despawning of actors).  I tried to get around this by disabling hostile NPCs and by limiting scenes to within settlements.  However, I still have raiders and gunners going crazy in the wilderness.  It's possible that the MCM is having trouble communicating with RS.  I would like to investigate this, but I wasn't able to find a settings file in either /Data/AAF or /Data/MCM/Settings.  Does a settings file exist and if so, where is it located?

Hi

Is there a solution for 2 pnj to have an exclusive, non-random relationship?

Example: jun long and Marcy long

(sorry for my english)

Thanks

So i encountered this problem where the random shenanigans quest started but i didnt know who it was. So i started following the quest trail through vats but i encountered some trappers and of course my companions started shooting and apparently it was two of those trappers that were doing the deed but they got killed mid-boink. Now the random shenanigans quest is still appearing on my pip-boy in the misc tab but it's greyed out. Resetting the mod through mcm didnt seem to fix it. Inititiating a sex scene manually didnt fix it either

Spoiler

I gave RSEII Random Shenanigans a few good tries, and could never get it get to work.

So every time i rolled back to RSE Elements Vol.5 Random Shenanigans (v4.0) - an older iteration by the same author.

Simpler, far more stable, and IT JUST WORKS.

There are some known issues - the quest marker is less than reliable, you should end active animations before fast travel, etc. You cannot run this version of Shenanigans alongside any other RSE2 plugins or the RSE2.esm.

RSE Elements Vol.5 - Random Shenanigans (v4.0).zip

INSTALLATION (recommended AAF INSTALL ORDER, as used in video)

AAF beta 147b
Fusion Girl  1.61
BodyTalk v2.75 with erection 1.0 and build morphs
Vioxsis' Strap-On's of Fallout 4 by anek v.5.0.0
Strap-on, viodoe, dick for female/servitron 3.1
* build strap-on(s) in Bodyslide with morphs
AAF Creature Resources
Creature pack 3.00
SavageCabbage's Animation Pack 1.2.4
BP70s Sex anims 2.4
FO4 Animations by Leito 2.0a
Atomic Lust 2.6.1b
Voice Fix for Leito FF animations
Custom moans
Indarello Patch for Animations v7.8
* BodyTalk v2.75 with erection 0.0 and build morphs
Silverperv's Erection Fix v7.8
Scripted Cum Overlays v.1.3.4
RSE Elements Vol.5 Random Shenanigans (v4.0)
WOTC v1.2.0

Recommend replacing AAF's AAF_equipmentSetData.xml with this:

AAF_equipmentSetData.xml

to avoid "equip vanilla clothing during animations" fault

SETUP:

To quote @Guest, the Arousal System is a "huge pile of shit", so disable all the settings for that:

Arousal_Settings.jpg.82a72ed99bb4dd494d0b85a99f743f4e.jpg

These are the Shenanigans settings i used for the above video (for testing purposes), obviously over the top, but choose your own action frequency by adjusting the cooldown setting and the day/night "chances of" settings.

Shenanigan_settings1.jpg.193031b377ad4ce03d27da6ea9f80800.jpgShenanigan_settings2.jpg.316a0c561449e5af0b244a9e23c5c027.jpg

BTW I was running this same scene for some 90 minutes before and an hour after the video was captured, without one crash or shenanigans freeze. I'm pretty sure RSE2 Shenanigans can't do that.

OK, so you see a Random Shenanigans quest appear in your Pipboy, or one of the NPCs propositions you. Then you go to the place where the quest marker is and ......

Nothing! They stand there looking at you. If you try to talk to them all you get is "You wanna trade?"

I see other NPCs having it off with each other, but have no idea how you get some action for your player. Any suggestions?

Could it be that this mod has problem with placing the actors? It often has problems with adding a NPC to the fitting sex role in the animations. Male NPCs play the female actor and other way around.

Where are the differences to the old mod? Only bug fixes?

"RSE Elements Vol.5 Random Shenanigans v.4" IS the old mod, by the same author. Shenanigans v.4 predates RSEII Shenanigans by several versions. This version is basically @Vinfamy's original 4Play Autonomy mod updated to AAF and with MCM settings. After this version Shenanigans became more and more buggy and unplayable.

These are the bugs i have found with v.4:

  • Unfortunately there is an "Arousal System" packaged with Shenanigans v.4 that the author later described as "a pile of shit", but fortunately you can disable it in the MCM settings.
  • The quest marker is slightly "unreliable", but not game-breaking.
  • If you fast-travel while a Shenanigans scene is running, those npcs will probably still be naked when you return.
  • The Masturbation notification happens, but i have never actually witnessed a solo scene.
  • If used outside settlements, Shenanigans really fucks up gameplay! ?
  • This version of Shenanigans probably won't work if any RSE2 mods are installed.

Overall nothing game-breaking. For me, RSE Elements Vol.5 Random Shenanigans v.4 is a reliable set-and-forget Settlement environment enhancer. The only hard requirements are AAF and your choice of animation packs.

BTW, these are some of the Shenanigans v.4 features that recent advances in AAF have revealed:

  • If you have suitable animation packs, Shenanigans will randomly generate multi-NPC scenes (3somes and more).
  • If you have suitable animation packs and UCF, you can "F11" an active Shenanigans scene and JOIN IN!

Since I use other RSE mods, I can't use your version?

Is the dog and creature part of this mod working? i have only ever seen humans participating in acts.

Then watch this video. Dogs and supermutant settlers work just fine.

- Note that the only dogs that will work with Shenanigans v.4 are Dogmeat and clones of Dogmeat.

{You can spawn these yourself with console command "spawn 1d15c". These dogs cannot be moved to another settlement or assigned to tasks but will loiter around the area where you spawned them and engage in Shenanigans as required. Make sure you have a kennel and a dog bowl for each dog or they may wander off. I rename the clone dogs with RenameAnything to avoid confusion and to allow AAF to distinguish between them. OOPS sorry, this method for spawning extra dogs only applies to RedRocket settlement!}

- I use Multiracial Workshop Actors from SKK to generate Supermutant settlers. These mutants can be assigned to settlements and tasks and work well with AAF and Shenanigans v.4. They are also quite funny. Dress them up with Supermutant Clothing for even more fun.

Haven't tried it myself. The worst that can happen is that Shenanigans won't work or the RSE2 mods won't work, and you'll have to uninstall one or the other and go back to a previous save. I remember there were some warnings about RSE Elements and RSE2 not being compatible, but all those forum pages have long since gone.  Please let us know if it works!

(Please note that this is not my mod. I am simply reposting an earlier fully functioning version of Shenanigans for the benefit of those who can't get RSEII Shenanigans to work. All credits to@Guest.)

Can I disable that he player gets chosen for animations? Sometimes I look the other way and Boom I'm in an animation. Often even during running AAF animations started by other mods.

This is one of the annoying buggy features of RSEII Shenanigans. There is no fix.

By comparison, RSE Elements Vol.5 Random Shenanigans v.4 does not interact with the player character at all.

Do you work on that mod? The mcm menu could use some work. It's very hard to understand what each setting is since the description is basically noneexistent.

And this version has the same positioning problems/ wrong actor assignment in animations. But it runs with RSEII installed.

Are you certain your version is better than the other? I have the same bugs and some features are not working. For example the player+NPC start no animation when I beg for sex. NPC-NPC action works fine.

Firstly let's be clear: Shenanigans v.4 only generates NPC-NPC scenes, it does not involve the player character in any way. From the problems you describe it sounds like either:
1. You still have RSEII Shenanigans installed,
2. RSEII is interferring with Shenanigans v.4, or
3. You may have enabled the Arousal System packaged with Shenanigans v.4.

Shenanigans v.4 has no problems with positioning or actor assignment in my experience.

It was probably too optimistic to suggest that Shenanigans v.4 might work with RSEII installed. But check that you don't have RSEII Shenanigans installed and that the Shenanigans v.4 Arousal System is disabled and see if that works for you

These are the MCM settings i use for Shenanigans v.4:

Wow, your mcm looks completly different. Maybe because my game uses german as main language. RSE 2 Shens is removed. The arousal system offers player-support. I tried the arousal system but if you say it doesn't work my problems are no surprise ^^ So the relationship part doesn't work too? Sadly I have often problems with actor placement but not just with this mod.

It was actually the author who said the Arousal System didn't work. I've never even tried it. ?

So it sounds like Shenanigans v.4 is working for you even with RSEII installed. That's great, thank you for trying it!

If you want to clean up positioning and have a more Shenanigans-friendly set of animations, try Indarello's Patch.

Yeah, maybe not. The creators of AAF hate Indarellos stuff ^^

There were some issues earlier in the development of Indarello's patch but they have been addressed and it is now much more compatible and reliable. Don't believe the haters, they haven't used the later versions. I highly recommend using Indarello's patch with Shenanigans v.4, just note the requirements and install instructions carefully.

Too risky. And RSE Shens does start sex between player and NPC. Completly out of the blue and at the worst possible time and location like during a fight with a deathclaw in the glowing sea. Or at least it tries to start them. I can see the AAF wizard collecting for the animation but the animation didn't start. Sometimes NPCs join in already started animations and change it to a hreesome. So No real difference to RSE 2 Shens.

I removed RSE 2 ressources but the problems haven't changed.
