Latest Character saves UN-useable!

So, my latest character now 40 saves in, is making un-readable save files. Checked the SKSE co-save [small], re-register Anims [less than 500]

I-dont-fucking-know what the deal is, I have made many characters. The only thing I can think of, is that this character swapped over to COSIO 5.1 later on, instead of CoS from All In One, load order was not changed.

If you have CTD when saving or CTD when loading the new saved game can only be because the saved game you are loading is CORRUPT. It's the only reason i know for have these problems. And the only solution is to eliminate that damaged saved game and load another one.

Sometimes, the game stores bad things. It can happen once every 3 or 4 months. Do not think that the saved game is always perfect. Really, the save/load is perfect 99.99% but that 0.01% can give problems in some situations.

You didnt really provide enough information.

Im guessing you have Crash fixes installed? If your save has a to high string count, it can cause issues.

When do you crash? When trying to load the save?

Did you try to loading another save in a smaller area? And then from there try loading your unreadable save?

Do you have Load Game CTD Fix ?

Problaby better to clean saves with the more up to date FallrimTools.

Hmm, possible I had a corrupt save that I have since carried forward it's issue to all my newer saves. I can make a loadable save once every 5-7 saves. I'll try the tools from below.

Crash Fixes - YES
String count, probably too high as I have ALL of the Train Wiz 'Dwemer' mods in that save.
- I crash when trying to load the save, every 5-7th save is good to load.
I've tried saving and loading in a tiny cave which I just stumbled upon (The CCAS Spriggan cave), no issues there. I always save in interiors, a Fallout quirk.
I have not tried that one, I will load the readable save - then load the CTD one.

EDIT: I DO NOT have Crash Fixes [always CTD my games before sop never installed], will have to give it a try again. My String count in FallrimTools is over 65,000 but... did more research and

THIS THREAD: BLACKREACH RAILROAD CTD gives more information, thank the poster for troubleshooting. I have the AHO ship and Balcreach Railroad, wayaaay too much shit@#$#. As far as I know Crash Fixes does NOT work with FNIS XXL.

Crash fixes works fine with Fnis XXL. They dont conflict in any way.

Crash fixes should not cause you crashes, they should fix issues like string counts and different CD's. Make sure you read the readme's and set it up correctly.

With 65k strings its no wonder you have troubles with your saves. Crash Fixes changes the format on your save so you can go beyond the String count limit without corrupting your saves.

 

Only FallrimTools can clean saves once the format of the saves have been changed.

 

Load Game CTD Fix plugin i posted above, should give you the ability to load any saves... unless they are corrupted that is.
