DocClox Posted June 16, 2019 Author Posted June 16, 2019 Thanks for the heads up. I have a family gathering today, so I probably won't get to that until tomorrow. I'm really thinking about just making PAHE a hard depend here. It would solve a lot of problems.

Can you have a look at the JSON file and confirm that it's there. readable, etc. Well, it's still marked as beta, although most people who use it seem to find it works OK. The main reason there are two is that I was using 1.2.3 and I didn't know how stable 1.3 was at the time. Either should be fine. I did check the json file location and both files are there and have read/write set to allow. They are the same size as they are in zip file. I am curious why the mcm box to add the book is checked on in MCM but doesn't add the book to inventory. Also why in the log it seems to be having trouble with the mcm menu or is that expected at current state of the mod? Ok little confused. Your saying the json files need to be in SKSE\Plugins\StoreageUtilData\Slavers_spellbook\ this directory? Ok that is a problem since the json files are loaded to this directory Data\docclox\slaverspellbook\json\ for both version 6 & 7. This directory skse\plugins\StorageUtilData\ slavers_spellbook\*.json from slavers_spellbook doesn't exist. Ok I copied files to that directory and ran the save game again, and still no spells added when reading the book. Here is except from log. PS: a couple of spells can't be added via console "Freed2 flesh" and "remove Brand". Somehow during casting the Slave to flesh on the slaves my pc now has it active. This is more of annoyance since my pc is already max arousal most of a skyrim month anyway due to other mods. The remove brand isn't problem for me but was kinda wanting to change the main branding mark. Currently using Slavetats1.2.3 and it is stable which has been my focus for this play through. I'm going to have to go back to earlier save game to load the new PAHE update as I really need the fixes just implemented. Not a fan of not being able to loot dead bodies. Have a nice weekend. I know this mod is a wip but it adds so many needed improvements to slave management that are sorely needed. Thank you so much for this work.
Stryker1177 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Ok today's play testing has revealed the following. The file structure in the install file need to have Docclox\Slavers_Spellbook\JSON\ changed to SKSE\Plugins\StorageUtilData\Slavers_spellbook\*.json files. Picking up the book then starts loading spells but only loads Slavers Candlelight Blue, Red, and Get Gender Preference. None of the other spells are loaded. Papyrus log of reading the book is attached. Some of the other scripts reference this file location Data/docclox/slavers_spellbook/json/branding.json. papyrus-061619-RBW.rtf

The spell_loading.json file needs to be in SKSE\Plugins\StorageUtilData\Slavers_spellbook because it uses JsonUtil to load it. The branding file needs to be in Docclox\Slavers_Spellbook\JSON. The reason they're different is that I used JContainers for the tattoo stuff, since that's what SlaveTats uses. But I don't find JContainers all that easy to work with, and StorageUtil is dead simple, so I thought I'd try JsonUtil instead. Hence the different paths. Funny, I thought I fixed this one a couple of releases ago.
rcy68 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Just watched the new Odgrub the Basher video on Youtube, and am jonesing for Skyrim(Oblivion`s great, but prettier girls are calling me). Gonna do a minimal(ish) mod run. Gonna try and finish the game, for once. Maybe without all the slaves(with the exception of Sex Slaves mod) my save file won`t get so big(Seeing all those wasted girls dead on the ground is gonna kill me). I`ve read deactivating the Estrus esp cuts down on scripts a lot, but can still run Estrus Chaurus/Spider/Dwemer. And trim down the follower mods to a lean 20 or so.(Holy shit! Just counted them...128 follower mods, and some have multiple followers added. I think that`s a problem? They`re just so pretty and unique.) Take your time cleaning things up for v. 0.0.8. Better right, than fast. Hope the family gathering went well. And as always, thanks for all your work on the mod. I look forward to actually using it( I used it when it first came out, before things spiraled out of control into epic-ness).

rcy68 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Jessica Jones? As in the best of the netflix marvel shows? Did I somehow miss that season 3 was coming out, or did you just discover it? But anyway, it`ll come when it comes. No biggie. I`ve screwed up my Skyrim, anyway. I think a performance improvement mod(coupled with my ignorance) tanked my performance. Can you say "Irony"? Hopefully I`ll figure it out without a total reinstall. That`d take me a month. ?♂️
rcy68 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Holy Shit! I DID miss season 3! WTH! I saw nothing about it anywhere. Damn you, Youtube. You let me down.

I think a performance improvement mod(coupled with my ignorance) tanked my performance. That's a pain. I don't suppose you have a stable MO profile you can revert to? I tend to get the basics working (UUNP, SexLab, SkyUI, USLEEP) and then copy the profile and make further changes to the new one. That way if I do mess it up (and it happens to all of us) then I at least have the basics already done. I should probably add that I think I'm running out of steam a little on the Slaver's Spellbook. It's been fun, but it's getting more and more of a struggle to open up the CK of an evening. I think I'm going to ease off for a bit and see if I can recharge a little. If I don't burn out completely, there's a good chance I'll return to the subject once I start thinking "if only I could do X ..." again. Although knowing me, I'll probably just end up working on The Whiterun Proclamations instead. Oh well, "A change is as good as a rest" and all that.

You were going like a madman for a while there, to the point I stopped updating until you ran out of steam. But maybe, clean v. 0.0.7 up a little, unless it`s good as is. If you want.? If not, no biggie. Like a fool, I`d just update/install everything to all my profiles. I have a basic profile, but that`s how I knew I`d F`ed up. Went to start a playthrough on it and my memory was 3/4 full at start. Basic profile. Crashed in the middle of character creation. Went to my maxed out profile that I was running on when I took a break for some Oblivion action, and it won`t even get to the start menu. But my list of "must have" mods has gotten kinda long. (SGO3; Devious mods; Estrus mods; Sex Slaves mod; Wenches mods; Bijin mods; AIM; HDT and the usual stuff like Sexlab, Aroused, SOS, MNC, etc.) Pretty sure it`s the SKSE stuff that screwed me, though. Scary stuff to try to remove(for me). Query: Do followers tax the system by just existing in world, or do they need to be in the cell with me/following me? I have them for eye candy in/around my homes and to act as security where those damn vampire attacks hit the towns to protect the NPCs(I hate dead non-hostile NPCs). There`s only like 150 or so of them running around my Skyrim. (I think I have a follower addiction problem, maybe?) I almost never take them adventuring with me. They get in the way and steal all my kills. If I take a couple, it`s just to get gang-banged and filled with soulgems. Enjoy the break. Great mod.

That depends on how the mod is written. It if just adds a pretty NPC to the world and makes them a member of the hireling follower faction, then there's probaby no overhead. If they have their own management quest, then the chances are that an alias or property somewhere is going to keep them loaded in memory permenantly Which isn't a problem for one or two, but ActorBase records are large and a lot of them can have quite an an impact. Sadly, this tends to mean that the ones with the more interesting behaviors are the ones that contribute to the problem.

I tend to only activate one of the voiced/quest type followers at a time. When I dropped most of my follower mods it didn`t really make much difference. I just can`t figure out why my memory usage spiked. An update, maybe. Well, this is what I get for just updating stuff when I`m not actively playing. Got lazy with testing, and trusted that updates weren`t a big deal. The few new mods I added didn`t change anything when I deactivated them. <sigh> Rebuild time, I guess. Hope I didn`t forget too much from waaaay back when I started. All those tutorials, the S.T.E.P. stuff, reading mod pages, testing as I go...Ugh. But at least I`ll get to see better framerates, for a little while, at first. And maybe avoid redundant/obsolete/broken performance mods. Provided I can identify them as such. So much contradictory info out there. If only Gopher would embrace the Dark Side. But anyway, recharge, man. Recharge. Forget modding for awhile and just play the game. That`s when I get ideas for "It`d be cool if this was a thing". Enjoy the hiatus.

Oh well, "A change is as good as a rest" and all that. Somewhere (who can tell where with the blindfold?) a lost forgotten Dragonborn is standing in the cold, dark night in severe, restrictive bondage that isn't even lore-friendly outside some asshole's house waiting for him to just fucking come outside and she hears this and thinks, "well, that's just great." Kidding, of course. It's all only worth doing if you're enjoying yourself doing it. Looking forward to whatever you work on next, whether it's more of the Spellbook, more QAYL, or something totally new. Thanksfor everything you HAVE done, and for putting up with us.
DocClox Posted June 21, 2019 Author Posted June 21, 2019 You might appreciate The Whiterun Proclamations. The idea is that, after Dragon Rising, the citizens of Whiterun become concerned at having such a powerful being as the newly minted Dragonborn living among them. So they petition the Jarl and in the interests of good order and public confidence, the Jarl issues a proclamation asking his good friend and thane if she would kindly refrain from equipping arms and armor inside Whiterun Hold. Purely temporary of course, and on a strictly voluntary basis ... just until the citizens get used to having a creature out of legend walking among them. Of course, inevitably the player gets caught with something equipped, I mean it just isn't practical to keep your arms and armor stowed in your pack at all times. And so the Jarl finds himself forced to make a second proclamtion, giving the guards discretionary powers to enforce the terms of the first. And slowly, the situation escalates. Basically, I like having an excuse to have my female characters wander around naked, but Slaverun takes over the entire game, and City Bondage makes playing the game almost impossible. SexLab Survival almost does what I want, but it's tied too strongly to survival mods ... and I've been meaning to write something like this for a while. So no Deus Ex Machina magical, inescapable bonds or overly-powerful slavers. Just guards asking politely, even sympathetically at first, if you'd show a little more respect for the law. With a series of consequences that can escalate to fines, bounties, jail time ... and sooner or later you'll either co-operate or else you'll end up laying waste to Whiterun. Of course, it's only a matter of time before the other holds start to adopt the Whiterun proclamations themselves. Then things can get a bit fraught (and I really do want to do some more QAYL, but trying to force myself to do it doesn't work. I learned that the hard way).

Not saying "don't," and I like the storyline aspect of what you're describing, but it sounds a lot like the Crime/Laws mechanic in SexLab Adventures. Basically allows you to define whether a given act (wearing armor, carrying weapons, being naked, NOT being naked) etc., is a crime in a given Hold, and to set custom bounty levels for each crime, in each Hold. Even lets you set all Holds to the same set of laws, OR randomized the laws in each Hold periodically, so even when you're following the rules, you inevitably break them. Personal opinion, here, so take it with a grain of salt, but that'll basically be your competition for a slot in my load order; it's pretty great at what it does. Just sayin'.

Take it as flattery that I'm still butthurt about the cliffhanger a year after I played it. But the last thing I want is you going back to it because you feel like you HAVE to, and then we end up with an ending like they gave Poochie on The Simpsons.

It's indended to work alongside mods like Horrible Harassment and Sexist Guards, and probably SexLab adventures as well, if you set it up to let TWP handle the nudity aspect.

Might even flip-flop between the two, if TWP could be toggled off/suspended/paused. So, when are you seeing this kicking in? After the PC gets the call from the Greybeards? after return from Sovngarde? Somewhere in between? I'm wondering mostly because I've played several thousand hours of Skyrim, dozens of playthroughs, and I've actually completed the Dovahkin storyline exactly twice. I spend so much time tweaking out new mod sets to start a new playthrough to try out different mods, and pretty much always get so sidetracked by the mod content (and usually almost entirely crippled by one form of slavery mod or other), I never really progress too far in the core gameplay. Not sure if I'm weird in that regard or not, but if TWP wont trigger until a certain point in the vanilla plot, then my likelihood of REACHING that plot point will factor into whether I'll be able to actually play it.
DocClox Posted June 22, 2019 Author Posted June 22, 2019 The plan is to kick if off about 48 hours after the end of Dragon Rising. So you kill Moulinex at Western Watchtower, discover that you're Dragonborn, get made Thane by Balgruuf, and a day or two later a guest stops you and gives you a copy of the first Proclamation. So if you're going to learn to Shout, you'll probably trigger this.
rcy68 Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Sounds promising, provided she`s ultimately used and degraded to an extreme degree. Universal free to use slut. No need to ask, just use and enjoy. Why waste time with dialogue, when a simple "Bend over" command does the job, by the end of the mod? If there`s no choice in the matter, what`s there to discuss? That way if you have to go afk, you can do so confident the time won`t be wasted, in game. I hate coming back to a dialogue box. And perhaps have the proclamation include "known associates", so followers/slaves can be included. Although the premise that the PC agrees to it so she can have the privilege of saving their asses doesn`t quite seem right. It works if the PC is a goody-goody, desperate to save lives regardless of the personal cost, but I always take a more neutral approach. I`ll save the world, but it`s gonna cost you. Thus justifying the "hero" having a stable of slaves. Maybe a dialogue branch to convince the PC to go along with it, with perhaps a blank check to "conscript" anyone she want`s for the fight ahead as an incentive. My PC would tell them what they could do with their "proclamation", mic drop the Axe of Whiterun, and toss Lydia over her shoulder as payment for slaying the dragon, otherwise. Let the ungrateful bastards burn.

The PC is going to agree to it so she doesn't have to go up to Dragonsreach Dungeon and ask pretty-please if she can have an adventuring licence and get her stuff back every time she wants to go out and kill a couple of bandits. And then check her stuff back in again when she returns to the hold. And of course, getting that licence is going to be unreasonably bureaucratic, with lots of chances for the player to get irritated and mouth off at the guard, which is not only going to slow down the process of getting the licence, but also get her a Black Mark which will speed the progress toward the next proclamation and more stringent restrictions. In a great many ways, this is going to suit a "bad girl" playthrough down to the ground. On the other hand, if you always choose the meek and submissive option, and suffer any number of minor humiliations without complaint, then people will put in a Good Word. With enough Good Words you can regain some trust from the populace and revert to the terms of a less restrictive Proclamation. So if you want to play the game more or less normally, you need to learn to play nice. Or not, as you may prefer The PC is still expected to save people's asses, incidentally. She doesn't have to, but if she grabs a sword and shield to fight off a vampire attack, I don't want her penalized for that. Only, at some point there's going to be a choice between either slaughtering all the guards in Whiterun; accepting a ridiculous bounty; or swallowing your pride and doing as you're told. The mod doesn't really care which
rcy68 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 The problem with your premise for the mod is that the PC voluntarily agrees to it. Why, exactly, would she do that? What could possibly motivate someone to agree to be reduced to a second-class citizen? To alleviate the concerns of a bunch of strangers? All of whom are dependent on the PC to SAVE THE WORLD. She has a choice not to do it, by simply staying out of Whiterun. It`s the "voluntary" aspect that bugs me. "Hmmm. I need to sell this loot. I could go to Whiterun, where I`ll be treated like shit. OR, I could go somewhere else. Somewhere else it is." My guess is that you`re going for the Hentai approach, where the girl comes to accept and eventually enjoy it, which is fine. But those start with the girl being forced into it in some way. Swallow her pride and do as she`s told? Why? THEY need HER, not the other way around. She`s the mother fuckin' Dragonborn, anointed by the Greybeards(whom all Nords revere, especially Balgruuf), and they`re a bunch of racist pissants. How about they grow a pair, instead? There`s plenty of other cities to do business in. And if all the Holds adopt this attitude, then why save any of them? The dragons are performing a necessary service, at this point, ridding the world of a bunch of ungrateful pussies. I`ll do my trading with the Kajiit. Put me down for Team Alduin. I`ll stop him from destroying the world, because I live in it, but Skyrim is his and his ilks' to terrorize to their hearts content. I`m taking on a God-like being and an army of dragons on their behalf, and this is how they treat me?! Fuck `em all. As a wise person once said, "Screw you guys. I`m goin' home." Maybe frame her for a heinous crime, the penalty for which is life in prison or death? But if they do that, the world is doomed, so steps are taken to allow her to fulfill her destiny. It`d be even better if the PC actually commits the crime. Maybe have that obnoxious girl run into the middle of a fight and get killed by the PC. Then the PCs' own guilt will help bind her to the proclamation. IDK. I just know going along with the proclamation, 'because', doesn`t work for me. It`d sour the whole mod. But that`s just me. Disregard at your leisure.
