I have to admit i have a hard time getting it together. It doesn't seem to work. So i hope you guys who get this working can answer a few questions.

 

The Tweak author said "install fix after raider pet". But there are multiple Raider Pet.esps. And i can't get them both in the load order in Mo2.

 

So i tried to install RaiderPet 1.4 Localized. Then i installed the Tweak 0.5. And then i added the Tweak 0.5 Fix manually. Now the load order shows one Raider Pet.esp and one Raider Pet Tweak 0.5Fix.esp. Do i even need 1.4 of the original mod? Or do i only need Tweak 0.5 and the Fix?

 

What confuses me is that 1.4 of the original mod has a 60MB Ba2 file. So all kinds of resources. The Tweak doesn't have them and is only 1.1mb big.

As I understand it, you only need the main mod and the fix. The fix is actually 0.6.

It works if you install Amputator Framework(its not really compatible with NG though). Should be a hard requirement tbf.

The raider pet tweak 0.5 is no longer available on here sadly, i don't know if the above is correct however.

Ponzi's original tweak should no longer be needed, just the two from lordbuttcheese.  Unless I'm totally forgetting something, every file in the Ponzi tweak was overwritten when I added the two LBC tweaks to a MO2 folder below the Ponzi tweak, aka they were all losing in the conflict section if you double click the folder.

I have 1.4 installed without the tweak on a 1.10.984 playthrough.  With foursomes and above, the PC is in the wrong position.  I'm not sure if this is controlled by a setting in Violate that I'm missing (as in Skyrim Defeat to send the PC first), or if its a glitch with Raider Pet.

 

Love this mod!  Any troubleshooting ideas for the foregoing?

I don't know if the mod is responsible for this. In my setup, even in threesomes, there is sometimes a role reversal.

This is confusing now. I only have the Tweak v0.5 Fix installed and overwriting 1.4.

I'm trying to do the Corvega "quest" and there are several issues that didn't occur after getting defeated by raiders with violate, which worked as expected on my last try(I have installed more mods since then though).

 

Edit: I forgot to mention I've downgraded my game to v1.10.163.0 with the downgrader on Nexus, which is required for Amputator to work, and the latest 0.5 tweak.

 

*If I reload while enslaved the raiders start killing the mutilated girls from Up To No Good. Raider Pet wasn't made with them in mind maybe?

 

*Amputation punishments don't trigger, even if I set the required number of punishments to 2, and refused approaches more than 4 times.

A while back, I tested the fix and was please to see I could trigger  raider pet to work.  As I played, I noticed I wasn't getting the mod to trigger so I reset the sliders to favor raider pet, but still got kidnapped or bound or, mostly caught and released. I began to wonder if the mod only triggers near the auto plant.

 

I use a mod that allows disguises  which I sometimes equip only after a number of assaults (get menaced though). I also run a mod that spawns large enemy groups, so this only works with stock npcs.

 

I had a minor recover object mission at Hyde Park. As I approached, I saw the raiders fighting a group of gunners that had spawned in.  I got caught when I released a captive and sent her to a settlement. The remaining raiders attacked her and then got Ivy involved then the next thing I noticed were bullets flying by me.

 

issues so far. (not all related to raider pet)

 

1. Hyde Park is a collection buildings in water. As far as I know, there is one crap mattress and zero cooking stations. I'm sure there is an option to poison the raider at some point, but without a cooking station ?. Got the build interface to show up somehow. (cleared Jamacia Plains but never claim it???) Anyway, added a cook station and some beds plus a general clean up.

 

2. the captive was held on a x-cross. As the aaf scene played, all three of us trigger an animation using the cross at the same time.

 

3. After the scene, all were bound. My pc was hobbled and bound with nothing to get free with.   I hopped to the boss looking for items to free me, There were none. (also use a mod which decreases loot). After a couple of scenes, Ivy and the captive spawned in near me. I released them to a settlement but they just stood there with the captive npc triggering the remaining raiders to attack.  At first, I used push to knock the raiders off the building into the water.  I tried pushing Ivy and npc but the prompt never appeared for ivy and the npc was in a corner. I ended up hopping a bit farther away and consoled them away. (currently,  they still haven't moved, though Ivy will move if I ask her to join up). 

 

4. got the see Lucky mission. Turns out he was at the camp between Hyde Park and Jamacia Plains (big oak tree). Collar exploded before reaching Lucky. Use a photomode mod to get close to Lucky and read his refid. Consoled him to me.  Choose a response to which he just walked off, end of mission.... found a armor's bench nearby and removed the iron hogties.

 

5. Got the play with Fido mission, found fido in another building dead. It was weird because fido survived the gunner attack. resurrected and set to essential.

 

6. got the skin mission. problem was there were only 4 raiders plus the dog left after the gunner attack, 1 female and 3 males. The boss isn't available so that left 2 males and the dog. The dog doesn't count it seems and the only other raider I found had died when I pushed him off the building :/.  resurrected him and completed the task. Never found the other raider. (Plus side, the raider had all my stuff on him, put everything in my companion duffle and sealed them away). searched the area and found one more dead male raider, resurrected him so back to 3 male raiders.

 

7.  Got a visit mission. the res'd raider got the task and he bound me again. (iron arm shackles) then stood there. Tried talking with and got a aaf scene instead. Couldn't use the map or see the tasks because of being bound so started heading for a pointer on the nav bar. Ran across a pack of feral ghouls which were then attacked by more raiders. the raiders lost  and  the escort went down. Since I had this happen in my previous try. I had essentialed the escort before hand and console a knife into his inventory (He had no ammo).  As he was fighting (and losing) I scav'd a better weapon and equipped him with it. The marker turned out to be the Atom Cats base and I used the armor bench to remove the shackles. Opened the map and found the destination was the drug den between Bunker Hill and old Ironsides......halfway across the map

 

Currently, about even with Atom Cats base on the shore front watching the escort try and kill another pack of ghouls. Seemed to do better with the knife since he's using a unmodded  assault gun.  (weapons are pretty nerf in my game as I've edit the damage and resist values)  Long way to go and a longer way back....

 

 

*** had a mod conflict which made it impossible to progress so restarted the game after removing what might have been the offending mod.

 

funny thing happened. I was fighting some gunners on and around a elevated highway and as I started to loot a friggin stealth suicide molerat blew up.

 

about 7 molerats appeared and 7 aaf scenes later the I got the pet dialogue..!!!!!!!!!!!!.  grabbed a rifle off a dead gunner and shot a suicide rat which blew them up. searched the bodies, but no key so the collar blew. reloaded  lol

Ok the tweak does not work at all for me and seems to break normal dialogue. Something else i've noticed that even with the base game, if you go from a violate scenario into raider pet and happen to have a companion that doesn't seem to auto dismiss, they get stuck in the raider base and will not move. Looks like I'll only be using raider pet voluntarily.

See a lot of comments where people are confused about this mod, so I'll write a little guide to clear some things out. Take this "guide" with a little grain of salt. I have not dug through Raider Pet code directly, these are my own observations. Following this though will guarantee you a better understanding of wtf mod is expecting from you.

To Install Raider Pet with least amount of bugs, you need Original Mod & Raider Tweak. Make sure that both of them are active and Raider Tweak overwrites Original mod.




STARTING RAIDER PET

There are 2 ways you can start Raider Pet, all of the starts are not bugged, but there are some unexplained details and triggers.

1. Naked Approach.

This is the default approach to the quest, however it is not ENABLED when you start new game. You enable it through progressing Fallout 4 Main Quest, you need to clear out Concord from raiders, lead Preston Garvey and his crew into Sanctuary and soon enough Marcy Long will give you a note left by raiders. ONLY AFTER THAT you can use Naked Approach.

2. Violate Surrender.
This way requires you to have Violate mod installed. It is however also nuanced. Violate requires you to be defeated in a PROXIMITY TO A RAIDER BASE WITH A BOSS in order to trigger Raider Pet outcome as well as picking out Raider Pet from available outcomes you set in MCM.  For these reasons, I recommend setting Raider Pet Outcome chance to 100%, otherwise there is a chance Violate picks a different outcome even if you are within Raider Base.

If you want Violate mod to start Raider Pet outside of those proximity zones you need additional RSE: Combat Surrender mod.
When defeated by Raiders RSE will abduct your character into Closest Raider Base and start Raider Pet.




SHOCK COLLAR

Shock Collar does not explode randomly, its not bugged, you just need to understand how it works and play around these rules:


A) There is inbuilt timer that requires you to have sex with a Raider NPC to reset the clock, reset timer script fires up AFTER AAF Scene, so take it into account, otherwise you will explode mid scene. This timer is IRL time, so you can still sleep/wait inside raider camps without exploding. Timer is set to your preferences in MCM. Recommended time is around 7-8 minutes.

B) There is a certain Area around Raider Base that explodes you if you leave it. You can test this area by going about 50m away from Raider Base, if you hear ticking turn back.

C) Collar Automatically explodes shall you equip a weapon or a grenade.

D) If Violate triggered Raider Pet but you don't know where raider Base is, follow the raider who put shock collar on you. There is a safe zone around that NPC.


ESCAPING

In order to escape you NEED to obtain Shock Collar key. Raider Pet ALWAYS gives it to Raider Boss & on rare occasions to Lucky. It also distributes lesser keys (for restraints or handcuffs) to other Raiders.
This mod is built around Free Roaming Approach, so you need to think of your own tactics to obtain it.

Here are a couple of fool-proof ways:


A) If you find yourself in the Raider Base with Food Cooking Station, you can use Rat Poison to kill raiders. This allows you to loot their corpses and find keys, if you successfully assassinated Raider Boss / Lucky. Obtain shock collar key from them and Escape. (You might want to unequip collar in a safe space, because once you do all of the Raiders turn hostile)

B) You can progress quest line from Raider Pet. Usually Raider Boss will call for you once every 4-5 in-game hours. So wait/sleep a bit, talk to raiders and if Boss calls for you, go to him.
There is a point in a questline where Lucky will fiddle with your collar. You NEED to report him, otherwise you will die. Once you report him, raiders will kill him. Obtain shock collar key from his corpse and Escape.

C) If you find yourself in the Raider Base that doesn't have interior. You are in luck as game usually spawns quite a lot of Random Encounters. So Minuteman/Trader/BOS patrols regularly will engage in fight with Raiders. You can wait for them to wipe out Raider Boss or Lucky. Obtain shock collar key and Escape.

D) If you download some mods such as Knockout Framework / More Patrols it opens up possibilities even more.




PUNISHMENTS

I saw some comments that say punishments don't work. This is partially true, it's the most bugged section of the mod in my eyes.
The way Raider Pet handles punishments is not as straightforward as it seems.

Basically there are LIGHT, HARD & BEGGING TOO MUCH punishments. 

LIGHT PUNISHMENTS
 occur when you decline Raider's demands for sex. Regular Raiders might not punish you right away, however raider named Bruiser always punishes you. Light Punishments include:
-Raiders drug you [Not Bugged]
-Raiders intoxicate you [Not Bugged]
-Raiders whip you [Can sometimes break if punisher raider cant hit your character]

HARD PUNISHMENTS occur when you do something extreme. Some triggers for them are broken however...

[TRIGGERS]
-Wandering off from Raider Camp [Raiders comment about it, but don't punish you]
-Frisking event [Broken: Raider who frisks you, does not detect any contraband and does not punish you]
-Pickpocketing Raider [Not Bugged]
-MCM setting that calculates how many Light Punishment before Hard Punishment [Broken: simply doesn't work.]

[PUNISHMENTS]
-Bald Haircut [Not Bugged]
-Equip Bondage Set [Not Bugged]
-Amputation [Not Bugged]

BEGGING TOO MUCH PUNISHMENTS occur when you ask raiders about something too much. All of them work from my testing. So for example when you ask for food too often, they will equip a gag on you etc.

I made a little tweak of my own to address some issues, hope noone minds...



YOU STILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD ORIGINAL MOD FIRST, THEN DOWNLOAD RAIDER PET TWEAK v0.5
I don't want to undermine the work of others, sorry for possible inconvenience.


In Mod Organizer order as follows:
1. Original Raider Pet
2. Raider Pet Tweak v0.5
3. Raider Pet Tweak v0.6



Fixes:
-Reduced cooldown between scenes during StuckInPlace quest from 20 seconds to 3 seconds.
Some raider bases are quite big, forcing player to wait extra seconds just for raider to wobble his way from godknowswhere to pillory seemed extreme...

-Changed how punishment mechanic work, refusing Raider approaches now counts towards HARD punishment.
Whole "easy punishment only" from approaches seemed a bit counterintuitive. Especially since MCM states how many punishments until hard punishments.

-Added KFT amputations in Amputation events when player has nothing left to amputate other than legs.

-Changed whipping time in MCM to be 10 seconds minimum instead of 20. 
20 Seconds feels very long for such a minor event. Making it so long only increases the risk of raider NPC glitching out.

-Changed what food/water player gets when begging. Instead of Dirty Water / Dogfood, Raiders give Purified Water / Cooked Molerat.
I get it that player is a slave and raiders don't want to share their good supplies with you, but Roleplay aside it just becomes tedious to ask for food/water every 4 minutes, just so you can beg for radaway right after. Survival is already a bitch as is.

In Mod Organizer order as follows:
1. Original Raider Pet
2. Raider Pet Tweak v0.5
3. Raider Pet Tweak v0.6



Fixes:
-Reduced cooldown between scenes during StuckInPlace quest from 20 seconds to 3 seconds.
Some raider bases are quite big, forcing player to wait extra seconds just for raider to wobble his way from godknowswhere to pillory seemed extreme...

-Changed how punishment mechanic work, refusing Raider approaches now counts towards HARD punishment.
Whole "easy punishment only" from approaches seemed a bit counterintuitive. Especially since MCM states how many punishments until hard punishments.

-Added KFT amputations in Amputation events when player has nothing left to amputate other than legs.

-Changed whipping time in MCM to be 10 seconds minimum instead of 20. 
20 Seconds feels very long for such a minor event. Making it so long only increases the risk of raider NPC glitching out.

-Changed what food/water player gets when begging. Instead of Dirty Water / Dogfood, Raiders give Purified Water / Cooked Molerat.
I get it that player is a slave and raiders don't want to share their good supplies with you, but Roleplay aside it just becomes tedious to ask for food/water every 4 minutes, just so you can beg for radaway right after. Survival is already a bitch as is.

Thanks for sharing - this is amazing! Glad to see the old mod getting (unofficially) updated!

 

One minor thing (possibly just on my load order, but could be others) - the foods given. I'm running a mod I downloaded years ago called 'ARR - Alcoholic Rad Relief' (it's been taken off/deleted from Nexus, but I can send the mod if needed). In essence, it makes drinking any alcohol clean rads.

 

This ARR and Raider Pet make perfect balance - Raiders feed you junk food (irradiated), and then make you drink alcohol, so the alcohol cleans your rads and eliminates the need for RadAway.

 

How can I edit your provided Tweak to revert the food changes you've made? I want to revert them to Dirty Water and Dogfood.

It is pretty easy launch creation kit, mark Raider Pet as active file, head to Character/Quest. Find quest RaiderPetBegging. Open it, find scripts tab, open it. you will see RaiderPetBeggingScript, right click on it, go to properties, find property that is referring to food items, delete mole rat meat inside of it and put something else. Then find property that refers to water, open it add something you want.

If I understood correctly, Raider Pet Tweak v0.5 requires SUP4SE, which is unfortunately not updated for NG yet, making tweaked Raider pet basically incompatible with the NG version. Is this correct? Or does your patch work well with NG?

I have no idea, I always use pre NG when it comes to modding , especially on LL, most of the best mods haven't been updated for years
