This mod replaces some all comics from the Real Comics mod with some NSFW stuff. This mod was originally made for personal use so I may or may not have cut some corners in some places. This mod includes all kinds of comics.

I will be adding more to this mod as time goes on.

 

Currently there are 574 comics (A lot of them include multiple smaller comics in one book)

 

 

I have lately been able to create better comics because I now understand better how it works, but I haven't been able to look at all the old comics yet. If you find a comic that is weirdly structured or split into two parts in a strange manner, don't hesitate to tell me so I can improve them.

 

I recommend reading comics while inside an interior, reading them under the sun will send the contrast through the roof.

 

Installation

Installation has been split in two for download size reasons.

The furry textures are optional but make sure you set their NOT spawn chance to 100% or have the extra esp. In case of a new save only the extra esp will work on first launch, you can remove it afterwards and set furry NOT spawn chance to 100%. In case you already had a save with furry comics and want them gone now, the ones you already had will be blank with missing textures and the cells that didn't reset their containers yet will still have blank furry comics. (No it doesn't have to be this complicated but as stated above this mod is made mainly for myself and I don't have enough time to make 2 seperate versions)

 

Install the mod using a mod manager like MO2 or Vortex.

or

Take the risk and do it manually: Put the contents of the resources folder in your data folder, the rest is optional.

Important for DEF_HUD (With VIS-G?) users

When finding comics in a container like a locker or a bag, take it out by hovering you cursor over it, not by opening the inventory. When you take out the comic while in the inventory your game will CTD.

Where do I get these comics?

- They spawn in containers in the world. You can set the chance of this in the MCM options. If you can't wait for that you can also just cheat them in with something like ESP Explorer, but beware when using VIS-G, your game may crash. So you can also search the ID of the comic (help name 4) and spawn it with console (player.additem ID 1), that does fortunately not crash your game.

The comics are really hard to read

- I'm a bit limited to what resolution fallout allows. But if a comic is really blurry, even more than other ones, you can tell me because thats probably one of the old ones I saved the wrong way.

 

- The image above does not represent all comics, there are way more.

Maybe you noticed that from version 45 to 46 suddenly a large amount of comics got added, its because I made a tool for myself, and I'll give it as a download here:

(new (actual maybe final) version with bugfixes and better performance (12/10/2021))

Don't use it if you don't know how to use FO4Edit or how fo4 textures are made.

The readme mentions Python Wand if you want to run in python, this dependency is no longer necessary.

Wow, didn't expect that I'll have the 1st comment.

 

Anyway, thanks for doing this mod. While I did not find any of your comics yet (I think my leveled lists are messed up, I found only 1 regular after like tons of containers with the 70% esp...), I appreciate the work, Please keep updating it.

Multiple people on Real Comics have reported that the leveled system is completely messed up, nothing I can really do about it. I myself have been playing with the mod for multiple weeks now with the standard esp and today was the first time I found a comic. So if you can't wait for a week to finally find a comic (that may not even be one of the ones I replaced) I suggest using console.

I played an hour today and found 2 comics, one of them was your version. So it works somewhat. I assume only specific container types can have these comics (one was in a safe).

I can't seem to find comics in any of these. The ones I found were only in the old ones, safes mainly.

 

Your mod is not overwritten by anything (I'm using MO2) and it is close to the end of load order.

This esp should fix that issue. Will be included in the next update.

The Oversexed Eveelutions comics by Kurodood do contain gay stuff in parts. I could use more gay furry comics, though.

 

Unless you were asking for gay human stuff. I guess you're just shit outta luck, then. I don't care too much about that, so I won't be asking.

Thank you for the update, I started up FO4 because of this one again.

 

I'd like to report a problem: When I try to open the Starlet O'Hara #4 comic, my game crashes.

 

I'd also like to cofirm that your earlier modification about in which containers the comics can be found works, thanks for this too!

 

Also a question: about what percent did you change the comics already? Do you plan to change all?

The comic should be fixed now, apparently the game dislikes the 1250x1250 resolution in particular. The name should also be changed now because Starlet O'Hara was not the intended name.

I dont know how much comics I've already done and how much remain, but by looking at filesize I'm not even halfway. I did already use all the long comics though (I only have 36 pages per comic left now).

I don't know how much I will change, I just do it gradually. The ultimate goal would be to do them all.

I don't have a list, I think you're just gonna need to find out. And there are fakku comics in it.

updated from 1.24 by simply uninstalling the mod and installing the new  one. (i'd never found any mags before so i figured it'd be fine) except that now that i've found some (oversexed eeveelutions and another one) i CTD whenever i try to read them. i did notice that the filename is now "Readable comics core files v 2.7.z" instead of what i expected to be "Readable_Comics_v1.25.7z". 

 

also, their inventory art is grognak and the jngle of the bat babies for each of them.

 

is this name change intended? should this just work? did i mess up somewhere?

I was unable to reproduce this problem in my own game. You did install the mod the correct way, these were my new core files to replace the old ones. The name change was intended, more small updates will follow where you just have to add them to the core files (with the merge function if you use MO2).

 

It sounds like you don't have Real Comics installed, but that would be weird because the previous version did work I assume. But to be sure check that you still have Real Comics because it is a required dependency.

 

When opening comics do it from your inventory or from a comic shelf. When you open a comic from a container the game will not like that.

 

Check the files of the mod, there should only be a .esp and a .ba2 file (also a textures folder but that should be empty)

Which version did you install? With VIS-G tags or normal?

Just wanted to say this since it's good to have feedback, after your previous update this mod has defiantly improved. I'm finding comics in abundance and where they should be. Just wanted to say thank you.

 

{by the way you can "manufacture" comics by building cabinets and coming back later.}

Thanks. I guess that manufacturing stuff is just from fallout itself. I just added the comics to the list that places them in the world, fallout does the rest, and knowing bethesda ...
