Real Comics Replacer

Since this mod replaces all of "Real Comics" textures, there is no need to have that mod installed taking an ESP slot and a redundant 3+ GB BA2.
So i took it upon myself to clean the master dependency and make "NSFW Comics.esp" a standalone plugin (i also compacted the form IDs, it's ESL flagged ESP now?).
I also cleaned the missing books (463-465) and obviously, this plugin requires a clean save.

 

@TheDestroyerOfWorlds If you want to use this plugin, you will just have to extract and add "Real Comics" materials folder, "Back_d.DDS" texture and "RealComics.nif" mesh to your archive (anyone else who wants to use it, needs to do the same before uninstalling "RealComics").

 

PS

Unfortunately, small textes are almost unreadable even after i managed to zoom in somehow. So if you are still around, can you tell me how to increase the resolution ? maybe 2048x2048 or 4096x4096 could make a difference. I just downloaded "Pillow" to be able to compile the PY script and that's it?.

Hey, could you explain how this works? Just drop the ESP into vortex? I have real comics installed already. But looking for the easiest way to do this.

Either install textures for the furry comics or make it so they don't spawn anymore

I already did that, but nothing changed. I installed it again using MO2, activated the presence of furries, but apparently a new game is required for everything to work.

Awesome mod, you really should add a compatibility patch with AAF Attributes to have the character get aroused when they read the comics.

Maybe even have them get aroused when they read the comic that is aligned with their preferences.

Maybe even add a menu to let the player pick said preferences.

Sorry for never answering. Regarding the resolution you're going to have to ask the author of the original Real Comics mod. All I did was make a replacer and figure out how to add more comics. But I don't think it would matter much anyways unless someone creates some UI mod that allows to zoom and all that. Next to that the game also often randomly decides to render pages in a lower resolution than they actually are. (in such cases you can try to read them again later, when the game has warmed up to them I guess)

No need for a zoom mod (but it's a good idea), you can use the default windows magnifying app or download something like "ZoomIt" and use hotkeys while in game to zoom in/out... . It's been 6 months since i played but IIRC, many comics use a large font-size so those are fine. Only the ones with lots of text and small characters need a higher resolution. I was planning to download the original jpegs/pngs... for them and use your algorithm to convert them in batch to .dds with a higher resolution in order to avoid artefacts while zooming. I didn't know that the game can load them in lowrez.
All in all, it was nice combining this mod with fallSouls (unpause game menu) and read some comics to pass time in game, instead of waiting.

BA2 files. textures go into -texture, all other types into -main
