Akkos Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Buffy summers has a distinct lack of pants for me, I'm relatively new to TS4 modding and I couldn't find any entry of her in the tray importer, how should I proceed?

Buffy Summers is gonna receive a total overhaul in the Vampires update. So, you should proceed by waiting... or just going into CAS and giving her some pants in the meantime.  @S-Plays Needed? No. Recommended. Hell yeah. ? 2
S-Plays Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Everything with the update is working as intended, I think I made my sim a bit OP in regards to wooing women, as I have the Sexually Alluring reward trait, so even those Sims labeled as lesbians will agree to have sex. I initially thought it was only for married women, & I wound up convincing the Hermit. Afterwards, I looked at her preferences afterwards & saw you set her up liking women & hating men.  Â

I swore at some point with 2.0 you said we did not have to mess with anything related with WW as you were doing that yourself. I assumed that meant the Attractiveness settings as well, but from your comment that wasn't the case LOL. I just thought you had changed her story from her lookbook as you mentioned having our Sims befriend her & bring her out of her hideaway, hence why I made the comment about it. Oh well, not the first time I've assumed something wrong & we all know what assuming does....

Hahaha! I needed a good laugh. Yeah, I already finished the Vatore and Count Vladislaus households several months ago, I just need to redo Buffy and the trailer sims.  To be completely honest, though, I'm not a huge fan of the premade sims from the Vampires trailer. They just don't really have a lot going for 'em. All they have are nine sims and a three different titles. But without any established relationships or skills or anything like that, I'm literally just slapping cc on a bunch of bases. I even checked their descriptions to see if I could get any ideas from that, but they all just amount to "these guys were in the Vampires trailer." They're just boring, man.  So, if you guys would like to give me some suggestions for alternatives, I'd gladly take them.
supercalvo Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 I have several ideas: 1 Vladislaus Straud with the master vampire trait may be the one who transformed the rebellious vampires and tries to lure the vampires virtous to the dark side while the noble vampires want to avoid him as otherwise he would have too much power. 2 Vladislaus Straud and noble vampires are distant family and belong to the same clan and are enemies of vatore and virtous vampires and rebellious vampires all hate. 3 Lilith Vatore transformed the virtous vampires since she has the trait and wants to be more powerful than the rest so that the rest do not fight each other. 4 All vampires are enemies to each other and want to destroy themselves. They are the ideas that came to my head in a little time, I know they are not the best, they are the ones that came to my head. I hope they are helpful, have a good day. P.S.:the screwdriver (vodka + orange) is also my favorite. 1

My two "Deepest lore!" cents, just because you asked.  Put behind a spoiler because it's a bit long.  Spoiler  According to the trailer, Straud turns Lilith and Miss Hell. Miss Hell turns Caleb, who then turns Ina. If we take this as cannon then the rest of the basic structure of the "clan" is easy to deduce, or at least induce. Miss Hell turns the "bad" vampires, Ina turns the "noble" ones. The virtuous ones are a mystery. If we go with this line of thinking (one in which TS4 approaches narrative in the same manner as Dark Souls does and thus the trailers, the item descriptions, and all the little details are actually clues to some deepest lore that makes perfect sense if manage to somehow connect all the dots, which is stupid and absurd but strangely amusing) then Ina gets really interesting - She was turned by Caleb, yet she appears in paintings with a very aristocratic looking black vampire. Furthermore, back when Vampires first came out she appeared in the title screen, again with the black vampire as well as a chubby redhead vampiress who also makes an appearance in some of the pictures that come with the pack, which as far as official content goes only make an appearance in Straud's castle. In the picture in which she appears with the black gentleman the way they are posing suggests a close protegee or close relative, maybe a daughter. Moreover, Straud's castle has actually three "high tier" coffins on it, indicating he once shared this castle with two other high level Vampires, as well as two normal bedrooms, one of which suggests a girl used it. We can, maybe, assume, thus, that these three Vampires (Straud, the black gentleman, and the chubby girls who look like she is really wild and loves to partay) once lived here together, possibly along with a girl who may have been Ina. And that Ina was closely related to the black gentleman.  The question, of course, would be "Why would this arrangement take place?" A very possible answer would be that these three vampires are actually related: Either one of them created the other two or they all share a sire. The fact that a human girl was staying alongside with them, one with a very close relationship to one of them when we also know Straud doesn't really like people all that much, would suggest two possible scenarios: Either the black gentleman was the owner of the castle, which we know not to be true, or the three vampires were in a somewhat equal footing, which would indicate the three of them to be "vampire siblings" instead of one sire and two offspring. Basically, Straud decided to suffer the presence of a human girl he probably wasn't that close with (the only paintings depicting Straud and her always include the black gentleman as well) because she was related to his "vampire bro."  From a trailer we also know Straud and Caleb had a duel for some reason, and that the former beat the crap of the later. If we follow the line of succession determine on the trailers the reason sort of becomes apparent: Caleb forcibly turned Ina into a Vampire, quite probably without the permission of her guardian or father (the black gentleman) which ended creating a rift between the trio staying at Straud's castle. The relationship between these three can be assumed to have been quite close, as Straud still keeps their coffins and portraits around, which could be easily explained by the fact Straud is a "loner" and thus only really deals properly with those he's close to - He wouldn't have been living with them if they weren't "friends" or better, and he doesn't make "friends" easily, and thus he got royally pissed at Caleb, his "Vampire grandson" so-to-speak, and beat the crap out of him both to remind him who's the boss and to let out some stress.  This would also explain why Ina isn't in the world by default: She left Straud's territory along with her guardian/father, and only returns if the player chooses to add her in. This presents another theory about the identity of the two other noble vampires, however: Are they really Ina's own "offspring," or are they offspring of the black vampire, sent alongside her as her guardians? The black vampire, after all, gives off a very aristocratic feel, and thus it would be reasonable to think his own offspring would be so as well.  This may actually shed some light on the "virtuous" Vampires - Maybe they are actually Ina's offspring, who she sort of made in the spur of the moment and then left to their own devises once she left back for Straud's territory. Or maybe, and more interestingly, the two girls from the "Virtuous" vampires are Ina's offspring, because she wanted some girlfriends to talk #JustGirlyThings and #JustVampireThings, and who then she left on their own. As they are teenagers they would have a hard time just being on their own, and thus one of them, probably the one who has the "bad" aspiration, turned some nice guy to be their "dad" or "big brother" as far as society is concerned.  Miss Hell would basically be Straud's favorite "vampire daughter" who just went on to do her own thing but may still act, alongside her "proper" offspring (i.e: Not Caleb), as "the muscle" for Straud when he needs some "stray" or "orphan" vampires, or maybe some Vampire hunters, taken care of. Caleb and Lilith would then be a bit more fun as well, simply because they would be the "loser" members of the "Family," who can only be so Emo about everything because "Daddy's" still let them stay in their "old room" instead of sending them into the world proper.  The only question remaining here would be "Who's the sire of the trio of Straud, the black gentleman, and redhead party girl?" I see only two options based on the game's assets: Either that vampire lady who was romantically involved with a werewolf, or the unknown vampire "queen" important enough to have a statue of herself. Personally I prefer the later possibility, with the vampire lady who was romantically involved with the werewolf being sort of the "black sheep" of the family, the fourth vampire offspring of the "Queen" who no one really likes to talk about in polite company because she's fucking the family dog and everyone knows it.  "A bit long."  I have way too much time in my claws.   Edit: Also, have you considered about giving a makeover to that gallery household which, according to EAxis' official "cannon," are distant relatives of Straud? The Climates, I think they are? You may be able to have some fun with them if you add them to Straud's household as those deadbeat distant relatives staying in his castle because the recession screwed them sideways or something, though I'm not actually asking that you do - The lord knows you have more than enough work already. You just asked for ideas to make the Vampires more interesting, so I'm just giving you a couple of "potentially cannon" ones. "Couple." Yeah. WAY too much time in my claws. I need a new hobby.    (edited, twice already, because I can't into english) 2

S-Plays Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Got hit with the crash bug that CTDs the game, I thought my headset had gotten broke because I heard a pop sound coming from the left ear & then my game stuttered for a few seconds before crashing. I believe a new patch on Nov. 20th will fix this as its on PC & consoles, if I remember the pop-up message correctly.

porkybork Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Uh yeah, in case y'all've been wondering why I haven't been uploading anything recently, that's why. ?  I did finish the Noble Vampires and the Vatore households, though. Some of the CC for the Vatores broke, so I had to replace them. I also got started on Buffy's base, but I'm having trouble getting her likeness down. Here's what I got so far:   And here's Buffy:  I could do Katy Perry and Marilyn Monroe perfectly fine, but for some reason I just can't get this chick to look right. 1

The jaw line and general head shape look spot on.  I'm definitely no expert in creating Sim look-alikes, but I can usually identify why. Sarah's (Buffy's) face is more condensed; as in the eyes, nose, and mouth are closer together. Also, the eyes in the Sim angle up on the outside, where her actual eyes angle down. I also noticed the eyebrow location and maybe a slight nose shape difference.  Here's another pic of her closer to the Sim pose along with the one you shared:  I don't know how much of my suggestions can translate to Sims 4 controls, but I hope that helps! 3
porkybork Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Hey guys!  If you've been wondering why I haven't been that active here, it's because I've been pretty sick for the past few days. I finally got myself tested for COVID-19 and my results came back positive, so I've been self-quarantining since. Everyone else in my family has it, so I guess I'm not terribly surprised. Still a bummer tho. I was going to announce that I was gonna take a break from working on things, but then that happened, and my priorities shifted away from LL for a bit. So, PBW 2.0 is gonna be on hiatus for a bit. I'm not abandoning this project, I just can't do good work on something like that when I feel like shit.  Until then, stay safe. 6
