Like I already mentioned, old Eva had a habit of losing her job, so you might want to keep an eye on her and see if you can force her to stay in employment.

downloaded all of V2, is there a save for all changed sims in 1 save or do i have to manually add them in? havent had a chance to play yet, im still in the process of updating and fixing my mod folder as it has been a long time since i last played.

On a side note, this must be fate, an update to a mod i refused to play without, less than a month before i come back to the game

Each update has its own save, with all households set up as Porky intended. With the GtW save file, he did change a couple of Sim's careers, but nothing as drastic as moving households around. In addition, there are a few new homes for special sims as well as sims from previous Sims games.

 

I suggest turning off the option to move sims into empty lots if that's how you play. I had this enabled, and the police officers household moved into a 1 bed apartment in the Eco world ?

 

Also, if you use MCCC, make sure all options for homeless move-in are disabled, even if you have the actual game option disabled, MCCC will still move in sims into your empty homes.

 

Final note, only download the save files according to the packs you own, as not owning the pack will obviously not add anything to your game and most likely break the save.

so the latest update will have all prior changes households too? as for the packs, i have most packs and im aware you need the corresponding packs

Correct. All you have to do is put the mods in your mods folder, tray files in your tray folder, & the save in your save folder, start the game & everything is set.

thank you very much, i wasn't sure whether each pack contained only the sims from that specific pack or all of them. Now begins my creation spree to flesh out the later worlds, households and homes. it makes you realise how much work Porky puts into the packs

Think of it like building a huge tower. The 1st floor is your base game, with those appropriate households. The 2nd floor is GtW, with the new households being able to interact with the 1st floor residents, and so on & so forth. 

 

The reason for Porky splitting everything by pack is for those who don't have every single pack to only download the packs they own, since downloading a pack you don't own obviously doesn't add anything new to your game, it just takes up extra drive space. 

 

*CORRECTION* I looked at the files I downloaded, and I made an oopsie. The CC in the files are only for that pack. In other words, to get the CC for all Sims current, you have to download all 4 of Porky's packs he's updated to get all the CC files. If you just downloaded Dine Out, you'd get only CC applied to Dine Out Sims.

so as long as i have all packs downloaded, and load the newest save, the save will have all sims (that he has currently worked on) updated? from the looks of it that seems to be the case (granted i didnt go into a great deal of detail as i was more focused on fixing the game) 

The reason for me being so fixed on this point is that i dont want to start a save and spend ages creating a sim/building skills etc, just to have to start again. Especially as im doing a rags to riches

Yes. Porky has taken care of where Sims live, their careers, relationships, and has mentioned certain mods to be used. 

 

In addition to his Recommended Mods post in the OP, he also has suggested Sugar Life for the Hung Twins in Spa Day, and plans to use AEP Pornography for Eva's career in his Get Together update. I also have Nisa's Wicked Perversions installed, because the AEP author suggested having that to work alongside AEP.

I honestly haven't done a full life play on my Sim since getting the game. I've restarted from scratch so many times I lost count lol. Most likely when 2.0 is fully updated, I'll focus on doing a generations play through.

without a goal, i spend more time in CAS/Build mode than playing. I'm hoping a rags to riches will get me more interested in the gameplay, due to having a goal to work towards. So far, its working great, i finally got a tent and outdoor shower for my sim

I got a wild hair up my butt and made a batch of teen daughters for Tina Peeping mk2. I'm really pleased with the results. I'll try to get some shots posted later after work.

 

Lemme tell ya, I don't envy the work going into these makeovers. Having to style seven sims is a royal pain.

 

(For the most part, I just let genetics do the work, and kept clicking randomize until I got one I liked. Rinse, repeat to fill the household. I only changed one MM hair to alpha. Makeup and eyelashes were either already there to start or copied from Mom. Yeesh, that is tedious.)

I know some peoople in the community stop using it because of some problems and I would like to understand if it's already a valuable mod for someone like you that makes such a huge save file with many npc sims.

Hey, I stopped using NPCC due to some issues I was having with it.

Have I ever told you guys how shit I am at sticking to a schedule? I wish I had a better reason for not posting sooner, but honestly I've just been busy with schoolwork and getting prepped for GMing my own DnD 5e campaign. In other words, I've been too busy being a fucking nerd.

 

Anyway, I finished making over the Partihaus household! I know their description mentions them all being unemployed, but I decided to give them all jobs. How else are they supposed to afford living in that bigass house?

I did it once myself on an old save, it just fits them so well. I believe I used LittleMsSam's live-in venues mod for it. You add one lot trait, then click on any door to "open" the venue, spawning visitors with the proper behaviours, or "close" it, turning the lot back into a normal house. I think it even works when you are playing as a different household, but I don't think I ever tried doing that.

 

And I'll take the chance to thank you for your hard work. I love your sims, and you making a new version is basically half the reason I decided to get back into TS4.

Minor thing tonight. I've started redoing the Munch and Free Spirits households. I've adjusted the skills, jobs, and relationships for both already, and I've set the foundational work for them as well.

I've also started incorporating elements of Basemental's Drugs mod by making certain sims tobacco users, with some even being addicted to smoking. Like Ulrike Faust, for example.

 

I'll let you guys know when I have more stuff ready. Later.

Don't know if this is something you've come across and I only just now remembered it, but whenever I would visit the homes of both Fyres and Free Spirits in the past, their front doors would be set to the back doors instead. Just wanted to see if this is something that just happens in my game or what. Then again, the game is filled with stuff that's been bonkers since its release, so...
