AgentCarolina Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 I always have unique problems that i cant google search/ My skyrim was working FINE and i mean same modlist i've gone from level 1 to 78 with no issues. But randomly its started crashing on ANY loading screen. I have a lot of anti crash and anti load screen crashes as well. It just started not too long ago. I think i started MO2 one day and it defaulted to skyrim and that's what broke it but im not even sure what i could check or do to even fix the game bar me uninstalling everything and redownloading

How far do you get in loading before your game crashes? Do you make it to the Main Screen (the one that says Continue, New, etc.)? Do you get to the main screen and click on something (Continue, New, etc.) and then have the game crash?

The file can have 20mb in size and the game must alocate a lot of memory for make it and run a lot of rutines for restore the game. Is important you have all the stability tools. Install this if you not have it: SKSE Memory Patch Crash Fixes 12 ENB in Boost mode. Next use BethIni for configure the INI files. Some parameters are too related to stability. Open BethIni and select Enb mode and recomended tweaks. Press high and save/exit. For solve specific problems when load the savegame can use Load Game CTD Fix. If you have Infinite load screen can use Safety Load but is better download SKSE Plugin Preloader for enable "UseOSAllocators=1" in Crash Fixes. Of course, your savegame can be corrupt and that not have solution. Sometimes the game store a bad thing inside the file and always crash the game when try load it. Open the savegame with Resaver for know if really is corrupt. You can upload your savegame and i can try load it in my game. That can disable some bad info stored by some mod's and maybe can recover the savegame for you.

The file can have 20mb in size and the game must alocate a lot of memory for make it and run a lot of rutines for restore the game. your so big 20mb save, it's just edits of skyrim.esm (200mb), dawnguard, dragonborn and the rest of the load order.... clicking on new game, or loading a save, it's the same... you have 50 weapons in a coffer in your save, 240 corpses somewhere, have shout in a building and the objects are no longer in the same place... that change nothing bet it's the usual "loading a save directly from main crash 90% of the time", that's why you coc qasmoke before loading your save, there's over 9000 topics about that

And yes im running all of the crash fixes and ENB fixes. It was fine until one day. Even new saves have this issue EDIT: Again the game was working fine, i accidentally started it with MO2 and now it's having an issue loading, gonna drop my load Order in the next comment

If you haven't changed your load order in the meantime, it doesn't matter at all. Because it was working for you. I try to remember what MO2 would do differently compared to MO1 and I can only come up with some minor things, that you might check. the ini files could have been "resetted" somehow. If you have a backup of them with a date BEFORE you started the game with MO2 .....? mod priority (left pane), mod load order (right pane) or maybe the individual selection of "which single files may overwrite what".. => again the question if you have an old backup of your profile folder? and just to make sure: you didn't re-run LOOt or manually re-order your mods in the meantime? PS: Oh, I almost forgot: If you post long lists like your load order or huge picture collections, please put them into spoilers. But anytime i try and leave from the starting cell from the Alt Start Mod I load for about 3 seconds and then crash straight to desktop I get no "Skyrim" has stopped working" or anything I can't load old saves and new saves will only let me move around the starting area until i try and leave it somehow

So, most likely it isn't your load order directly (but maybe indirectly). You wouldn't be abe to see the starting cell otherwise. But looking at the amount and the names of your mods, it might be that your ini settings are not balanced for all those mods anymore (probably because of the assumed reset, that I fear for) Too many (badly written) mods initilize themselves or start background tasks at certain triggers... and too many get triggered by the same events -> DANG Without any old backups it might be very difficult to make sure that e.g. your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini are still with the right settings for this load peak. Plus, I recognize some mods where I remember a bad reputation in terms of stability. But I might be unfair And if you can't recover your old load order with 100% certainty, most likely you won't be able to continue any of your old saves. (bad news ) If you are fine to start a new game, you could think of some basic steps Spoiler make sure you have up to date mod versions be sure that they are compatible with each other be sure that they are clean (google mod cleaning), if in doubt -> contact the mod authors, it's their baby make sure that you read their modpages, in which load order the mods should go do NOT trust LOOT blindly with so many mods, it is most likely that your skyrim.ini and skyrimpref.ini need some edits.... be sure to read about those rebuild your game mod by mod activate the first ones, start a new game, and/or use my test above activate the next one , .... .. until you are happy whenever it crashes you know which mod is rotten and will feed on your time and nerves do not give up! It took me about 2 weeks, but I have a stable game with over 400 mods running. Proper setup and testing will get you there As a side note: Although most of your mods don't tell me anything, I recognize some of them and might be tempted to say that LOOT did a terribly bad job PS: And never ever change or reorder your load order if you want to continue an old save. It won't survive that.
AgentCarolina Posted November 3, 2018 Author Posted November 3, 2018 I've seemed to fix the issue, though i don't know HOW, i unsintalled Moonlight tales because i hear because it's so script heavy its one of the ones that sometimes causes issues AND i got rid of my ENB files (Which i realized were not even working in game so that's something) I reran BethINI and made sure to turn off ENB tweaks
