Eh, way I see it, if I can harvest a child's organs after knocking them out with chemical weapons and then turn their skin into a nice pair of shoes, all bets are off.

 

Mostly I want it for the drama. Like yeah, it'd be horrible, but that's the point no? The consequences would be fun, I think.

While I tend to agree about the hat and organs thing the "Big Black Van" feels pretty strongly that they are different. Gotta be careful about upsetting the van.

What are genitals, in RJW apparel layering terms? I was looking into a few apparel layering conflicts (pawn inventory, not graphical/rendering), like skirt versus shirt. I noticed most (maybe) all "tops" (t-shirts to parkas) are defined as covering "genitals". My first thought was that "genitals" should only be on "bottoms", but again, most apparel "tops" are given genital coverage and very few bottoms are. I see there's also a "chest" body part, but don't see any apparel covering that.

 

So, if I'm trying to patch my own load order so, for example, things like skirts and shirts don't conflict, what is RJW "correct" way to set up slots on apparel?

Are those errors about Astoriel related to RJW? I've had them forever and I can't figure out how references to an ancient mod that I haven't used in several years is always in my error log.

And.. also.. I'm not getting any raids. Anyone know of any issues like that recently with any mods? Oskar claims as he always does that it doesn't have anything to do with Vanilla Expanded, but I'm basically only running Vanilla Expanded, RJW and a bunch of RJW addons.

Is there a way to see the fertility stat? I'm trying to increase the fertility of my colonists and adding the archotech fertility doesn't seem to help.

make sure all your mods are up to date and you have no incompatible mods

A small question regarding the the infidelity precept. Will the people who follow that precept take it into account when choosing partners (with hookups/comfort pawns on)? Like if it's set to 'Heartbreaking' they'll look for their partner instead of the CP or if they just follow the path of least resistance. Thank you in advance :)

Is insect egging feature working now?

I tried to put pawn near the insect nest to make incubator. Insects put my pawn in cocoon and regulary rape her, however they prefer drop unfertilized eggs everythere, not in incubator. Ocassionaly they happen to put unfertilized egg in pawn if they have it during the rape. After some seconds unfertilized egg pops out and system write "pawn gave birth".

So I never seen a whole cycle "incubator -> produce egg -> implant egg -> fertilize egg -> lay egg" because insects never fertilize eggs but eat them often.

Which addon adds knotting, and is it working correctly? I find that pawns that have sex with knotted dicks (in this case, a prisoner Saurian) sometimes have sex for like 3 or 4 irl seconds and then just get knotted and stuck there for a few seconds. It doesn't happen all the time though

Been having issues also. The only time I've ever seen eggs fertilized (by pawns with ovipositors) is when there's group sex including both female and male ovipositors. I believe this is because it allows the two ovipositors to have indirect genital sex together. Use to be Male Ovi could do vaginal with Female Ovi and that worked at fertilizing eggs, but then it was changed so Female Ovi was considered a penis only. Not sure why they changed it. Unless this was how it was intended, however kinda hard when it involves insects since you can't force control animals.

That is rather unfortunate to hear. I'd actually just started a new colony specifically to try insect breeding up mounts for a goblin raider story.

 

Had actually come to ask about this odd behavior my self - so will note that I experienced similar issues getting any fertilized eggs. One thing I'd noticed is that shortly after oviposition, the egg would come out - so perhaps it's just an issue of the egg not staying in long enough for a male insect to come along.

 

I'd also noticed the bugs were stealthily sneaking up to get some lovin' with my starting animals. Not sure if this behavior is also tied to a recent change?

 

I say stealthily, because there was no warning message; I'm assuming this meant it was more of a lovin' act rather than a hostile rapin' act.

Not sure if this is because I have wild animal mating enabled, but the bugs only seem to do it to my poor cat and dog. All the other woodland and cave critters just seem to chill in peace.

What's more though, I don't seem to have any option for removing the cocoons - granted it's been a while since I lasted played Rimworld with RJW. Does it eventually wear off, or is there no surgery definition for animals?

If your animals were being raped by the insects then they would get cocooned. It's odd that they are lovin', only thing I can think of is that you have 'Mating Crossbreed' enabled in the debug (I'm not sure what the parameters are for insects in regards to that setting). I thought insects only raped, otherwise they would be mating with other insects. If it's rape. then yeah that's normal - they'll even try with your pawns or passer-by's. For the alerts, that'd be down to your alert settings.

 

Cocoons should be removable via surgery.

No no, what I mean is they are cocooning them - just no alert (unless that's intended for colony animals). I don't see any kind of surgery for removing an animal from the cocoon however.

Two possible ways to do it:
1. Turn on the Hero setting in the basic mod options, set a particular colonist as your Hero, and then you can use the right-click actions menu to select the fucking option you'd like. However, your Hero can only be set once, and cannot be changed.

2. Go into the mod options, find the Rimjobworld Debug menu and turn on the setting...not sure whether it's called "Manual Pawn control" or what, but it should have a tooltip so you'll be able to find the right one by reading through the options. This option allows you to use any of your non-prisoner colonists (can't remember off the top of my head if slaves are included) as your Hero, and you'll be able to select which colonist as well as which fucking you'd like to have happen to your prisoner.
