oldrayzor Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 A technical anomaly just the last few days has sent Skyrim performance into double time. Walking is fast, extended dialog doubles up and overlaps, lip sync finishes before the audio completes, etc. I've researched online and checked all the game settings and they're fine (or at least correspond to the recommendations I found). My suspicion is that my computer is (somehow?) overclocking. Specifically, my GeForce GTX1070. I've not changed anything to ENBoost. Even did a run without any mods. I haven't looked into a remedy yet primarily because for the first time ever it actually performs very well. My crashes have always been related to memory intense cells and its wonderful to trudge into The Bannered Mare with a bunch of followers in tow and not have a freeze or crash. Could use some advice as to what could be done. I'd love to keep the performance but worry my GTX might get damaged. Any ideas?

Roarke Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Does ENBoost come with enblocal.ini file? If so, try limiting your fps to 60. To do that, edit or add the following: [LIMITER] WaitBusyRenderer=false EnableFPSLimit=true FPSLimit=60.0 You might also want to look into changing your VideoMemorySizeMb by following this guide, ENBlocal INI/Memory. EDIT: BTW, if you are using ENBoost and your image appears pixelated, it might be that you aren't using an ENB preset. Find one on Nexus and follow the installation instructions. I use Tetrachromatic on my build.

As i know, overclocking a machine can give you from 10% to 15% more performance at temperature cost. Better increments are only posible with liquid refrigeration. Double performance at home is near imposible. I think in a problem in the savegame. Start a NEW GAME and look if problem persist. Can be a problem in an incorrect INI setting. Try correct it with BethIni. Open BethIni and select ENB mode and recomended Tweaks. Press High and save/exit.

Roarke Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I have an i7-6700 cpu and GTX 1080. I will need to do something. I set-up my own enb a year ago, cut & paste. And I have so many things lingering. I tried changing a couple of times and was really disabled. Andy14 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 How is your FPS? Maybe only the timescale is adjusted. Default should be 20. You can set it in the console with set timescale
oldrayzor Posted October 30, 2018 Author Posted October 30, 2018 Quite a morning. Okay, so the audio stacking is simply due to the game running fast and triggering the audio cue before the audio has played out. So the main issue is the game speed. 20 hours ago, LT Roarke said: I use Tetrachromatic on my build. First removed all enb ( ENB FXAA SweetFX Manager & Remover Mod ) and installed Tetrachromatic . Didn't Change the speed issue. Then I thought WTF, and removed all ENB and ran Skyrim from the launcher. The 2X continued. So I thought, maybe I F***k-up the game itself (?). So uninstalled and re-installed in the event of extra-natural intervention. Ran again from the launcher (no ENB and no mods). Still 2x! I'm at a complete loss. Can't imagine anything effecting speed in any Skyrim ini. Perhaps SKSE.ini? BethIni can AUTOMATICALLY change a lot of values in a lot of lines in Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPref.ini when you click over a preset. For that i say: Open BethIni and select ENB mode and recomended Tweaks. Press High and save/exit. When i say "Press High and save/exit." i tell you select the high preset and that can change a lot of parameters in the INI files. If your problem is related to a fail in the INI files probably can be solved. Other option, of course, is delete your ini files and launch the game. That generate new INI files with default values. If you have the problem in a Vanilla game whitout mod's and whitout SKSE only can be a problem in the INI files, imo, of course.

You have a problem and ask about it. When not get solution you start remove mod's, SKSE and ENB. When you are in a vanilla skyrim and the problem persist only can be the INI files. Maybe BethIni can solve it or maybe not. But really... i not know what value in the INI files can double the game speed. If you found it can be a great help for a lot of users. In other side, if you have CTD and freezing and performance problems the solution is install the stability tools. Install this if you not have it: SKSE Memory Patch Crash Fixes 12 ENB in Boot mode. If the problem persist use BethIni as indicated before. Revise your mod list and look for old depencies or un-updated mods or faulting compatibility patches. Put your mod list if need help. Some additional tunning can be made in the configuration if the problems persist. Spoiler But today the game must not crash never. I play for 2,3,4 consecutive hours with none problem. Normally i have near 200 plugins, some times 180 and others times 220. Half of my mods come from this site and some are heavy script intensive. I have sexlab+creatures+SLSO, SOS, MME, DD, PSQ, PAHE+HSH+AYGAS,Virgin, Apropos, Wet function... In some games i carry from 5 to 15 personaliced followers like Serana, Beastes, Mrisi, Sasy, Giada... And i not have a super computer. This machine is 4 years old with a simple gtx 660 with 2gb of Vram. But i can play in full HD 1920x1080 at 50-60 fps all the time. Drop to half when have 10 or 15 npc's in sex.

Well, in so far that I altered the FPS limit in enblocal.ini to 60 after playing for months at 30 and FORGOT to alter the iFPSClamp=30 in Skyrim.ini. Should have been obvious but I simply forgot. Sooo, after removing the enb and everything, skyrim defaults to 60 thus maintaining the double time. It is interesting because you can actually fuss around with these 2 settings to perk up the game speed a little if you like, but the audio remains at normal speed while the dialog cue accelerates which will cause dialog-overlay. @GenioMaestro I truly appreciate your help. It appears to be performing better but I continue to have a slight stutter at cell changes (not terrible) but would like to correct this if possible. Currently, I have enb injector installed but no enb preset, and ran BethINI. Then made necessary changes: Spoiler ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=false DisablePreloadToVRAM=false EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=256 VideoMemorySizeMb=3714 EnableCompression=false AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false I added "SKSE_loader.exe" to the enbinjector.ini but still receive the following error when running SKSE. Spoiler Anyway to remove this warning or is it even working? What I would like is to run from the Helgen exit down the path to the standing stones without any stutter. There are 5 or 6 cell changes along the way, so if I can make that with this essential mod list, then I would be happy. Presently I have slight stutter at the cell changes (even without the mods). And I don't know why. If I accomplish this than I will consider an enb preset (probably SweetFX). Spoiler I have multiple profiles, many with well over 200 mods, but all use this "Essential" as a base (including 2K textures). I would like to set everything up to work with these essential plug-ins and be stutter free. Some profiles have only these plug-ins with added DLC size quests while others are blown-out Skyrim enhancements with many replacers (NPCs, Cities, Outfits, Weapons, etc). Then there are the, um, shall we say "SASSY" profiles which include various SL mods, SOS and HDT extension.
